Aorus Pro is a very good B560m mobo according to hardware unboxed. And 11400 is quite competitive, it's slightly worse than 5600x, but has integrated gpu.

I got 5600x + Gigabyte B550 DS3H for $420 from ebay deals + afterpay referral, if anyone can hold it for next deal, I think you can get a similar or cheaper deal.

Just a note, Gigabyte D3* mobos are bottom of the line mobo, the B560m counter part has high vrm temp.
Plus no one would use the stock 11400 cooler anyway, it's just ewaste.
5600x is definitely better, but factor in a decent mobo, this bundle would be much cheaper, and no need to setup eBay plus and after pay.
I got G.Skill Aegis 32 GB kit (16*2) CL16 3200 MHz kit for $180 from Ebay deal without Afterpay. Afterpay didn't approve it and so missed the discount.
Just replaced old PC's (i5-2400 + Q67 MB + 16 GB DDR3) CPU+MB+RAM with new parts.
I think Gigabyte B550M DS3H (got for $85) VRM is quite ok for 5600x (got for $335) as per this review. B550M Aorus Elite (Aorus Pro has better VRM) has the same VRM design as DS3H as per that review.

So tempting to buy this but can't justify upgrading from my old trustie i7 4770k, literally have had 0 issues and do normal browsing, some video and photo editing, Gaming and still seems to perform for my needs.

I went from a 6700k to a 5600x and the jump was huge. Cyberpunk for example went from 100% CPU causing stuttering to <50%.
Seems like I was CPU bottlenecked with my 2070, probably depends what GPU you have.
It'd probably future proof you for a while seeing how long the i7 4770k is lasting you
AMD was uncompetitive at that time and for years after so Intel had jack all progress.
Things will progress much faster now that there is real competition.
I was starting to bottleneck on a few games with that CPU, anno 1800 I think was my first big one.

If you're trying to be "price conscious" and thinking about DDR5 memory at the same time, you'll probably be waiting longer than a year. DDR5 will have a significant price premium for a number of years until economy of scale kicks in and brings down prices. If you were looking at something entry level like a i5 12400 (whatever that looks like), then you'd probably be plenty well served with DDR4 memory.
It's worth upgrading but 4770k is still rock solid CPU.
Likewise with my i5 4570 but what the hell. Will need to update at some point and the price is right.

While you may think that, I had a 4790k overclocked to 4.5ghz 16gb DDR3 ram @ 2400mhz paired with a 1080ti on a 1080p/120hz monitor.
I went from that to an i7-7700k with 16gb DDR4 @ 3200mhz ram.
In far cry 5, with the 4790k I was getting around 110-115 fps hovering on a mix of medium and some high settings.
With the 7700k @ stock I was hitting 120fps stable on ultra.
Huge difference which I didn't expect.

Depends on what resolution you game at. 1080p you might get 10-15% increase at best (just spitballing), but 1440p+you’ll be GPU bound so prob won’t see much difference. TL:DR, no

12th gen will bring other higher costs with the change to ddr5 and new stock/cooler designs so take that into consideration when thinking about total upgrade costs.

Maybe buyer wants to do your homework. It is not slightly worse. 5600x is nearly 30% more powerful than this CPU overall and 10% more for single thread according to this. Not saying this CPU is no good, but it is no match to 5600x in terms of performance.
Depends on how you perceive 'slightly worse'. Most people won't be pushing these cards to notice the benchmarked difference, but I agree it is still notable.

11500 has slightly better clock speed and iGPU, at the same TDP, but 11600 is just too hot to cool for a 6 core CPU.
Without any significant deals on, I would say get a 5600X, otherwise this deal is too good to pass.

Unfortunately it’s a UHD750 which is significantly worse than any of the current AMD APU offering or the even a GT1030. If you’re not gaming or have access to a decently priced/performing GPU handy, this is a good deal IMO.

Well you are upgrading from 2c/4t to 6c/12t so a theoretical 3x multitasking performance. It is a big upgrade, but it sounds like you dont have a gpu and only do office work with a bit of casual gaming, good upgrade if you need it.

Just FYI, CPU performance also related to IPC (instructions per cycle), due to the generation gap, you will likely to gain more than 3X performance gain
What cooler does everyone here use with OEM CPUs that doesn't come with a cooler?
U can use everything that can handle the TDP, but this CPU is rated for 65W at 2.4GHz all core, if you diable power limiter in BOIS (You should, as this will make it run 4.2GHz all core), it's true TDP is close to 120W. So you need a good cooler for it.
