      • Thanks for clarifying!

      • Hi thedavemeister, just wondering if could answer a question about this kit. Is it only the hedge trimmer that has angle adjustment or is it like the single 18V that has adjustable handle and pole pruner?

    • Yes it can i just used it you have to use 1 x extension pole so it ends up being a long trimmer but it works.. just gotto stand back 1m and can get heavy…

FYI - Castle Hill NSW has 13 left as at 6.20am today

    • Thanks. Went to Rouse Hill last night but couldn't find any, gave the item number to the service desk but they said none in stock. Might try castle hill today after work.

      • You’re welcome. They were on a pallet located between the garden tools and the plumbing/garden hose sections (in that break mid-aisle that runs through the middle of the warehouse). I missed them on first pass because they were still in their shippers (generic cardboard box). Good luck!

  • Can someone write Item No for this product please.
    Thank you in advance.

It was posted before but it’s 0296586. Happy hunting!

  • For anyone in Newcastle, there are 6 left at the new Gateshead store and 5 left at Wallsend. I grabbed one from Wallsend and they are sitting on the floor in the power garden tools isle.

  • Gladesville had 2 this morning. I got one just before 7 and someone else picked up the last one straight after

  • I’m mainly interested in the pole pruner and hedge trimmer. The pruner in this kit looks different to the standalone one?
Eg does this kit pruner have a pivoting head angle?

    • +1

Don't think the pruner can pivot

      • I wasn't sure either, but the box indicates it does pivot.
I will confirm this after I assemble the kit over the weekend (and if I remember to post).

        • +1

Thanks. I just read the info about it on their website - “The pivoting head can be locked in 7 different positions for greater versatility in multiple applications.”

Makes this an even better deal. Now to go hunting for one.

          • @SydEP: Thats only for the hedge trimmer not pruner

            • @jjoker: Hedge trimmer definitely had pivot/tilt adjustments. I didnt take the pole pruner out of its box.
The old 18Volt one certainly did and Ive used it to take down some pretty big branches

  • Would someone mind checking if they have stock in Vermont (Vic), or Nunawading? I have a powerpass account but it won't come up. Thank you

    • Plenty in Northland. They still have it at the back storage, so you'll need to ask one of the staff to take it for you.

    • I rang Vermont (Vic) and they don't have stock. They said there are 10 units in Nunawading and 8 units in Scoresby. I picked on from Scoresby just 30 mins ago.

  • Was 7 in Tweed Heads at 8am this morning

  • Called two places in SA, both say they've got stock, but both can't find it in the store, might need to wait a day or two before it actually gets on the floor.

    • In stock at Mile End, helpful lady said all stock goes up above in the racking unless it's on the loading dock being delivered. They had about 4 on the rack, none down low. Steel deck mowers there too about 5

    • It’s in stock but not on the floor. they can’t be bothered to check the back to get one for you

      • At least at my local trio of local Bunnings there is no "back" only a loading dock… this is in SA though where everything is smaller :D

  • Has anyone tried throwing a Littl’ Juey on the Ozito trimmers?

  • Has anyone had any luck on-selling the batteries and the chargers? I have so many Ozito batteries I dont need more. or any idea if they sell the skin only (neither is showing on their website)

    • +2

gumtree and Facebook market is your friend.
don't expect much as many people are aware of the kit prices.

I have seen some crazy prices on eBay auctions but I just don't understand who and why would they pay more for a used tool than brand new. If you go eBay route keep in mind the eBay fee, PayPal fee and shopping fee.

      • great, thanks!
Ill give it a go and see if I can on-sell the extra batteries.

        • How much are you selling each battery and/or charger?

  • Last night(Thursday) they had just rolled out a heap of stock pallets at my local (Brisbane). There were only 6 of these in total on a pallet full of other garden stuff.

  • There were 14 at Windsor Gardens when I called, 13 when I arrived at the store, and 12 when I left! They are still out the back, so you will need to ask. Seems like an awesome deal to me, considering I wanted most of what was in the kit anyway!

  • Has anyone been able to find any in WA (north of the river)? I’m calling around but not having any luck

    • +1

      Looks like none in WA

      • +1

Just went to my local and the employee checked a few stores and couldn't find any.
Haven't received them yet. So not OOS, but couldn't confirm if they are expecting any.

  • Thanks OP. In stock at Acacia Ridge, Brisbane.

  • Thanks OP. Picked up 1 from North Lakes QLD this morning. They had 13 of them left when I picked up at 07:30ish.

  • Managed to snag one in Epping (Victoria) Bunnings

Can call up and place a special order over the phone if your store is closed to public at the moment.

    • Called up Nunawading to check for stock and they claimed they don't have it - "if it's not on the website it's probably not available"
I'll try a few more nearby before trying Epping.

      • Epping had ~10 when I called at ~11am.
quoted me an item number 0296586 (not sure if thats the same across stores?)
Not on the website because they said it was a "promotional item that is unlikely to come back into stock anytime soon" so the special orders desk or in store was my only option at least.

        • Oh sweet, probably easier with the item number then. Thanks!

      • Bayswater had a few this morning

        • They have 2 left as of a few minutes ago.

(I took the third last hehe)

Edit: apparently I may not have taken the last because they just called me back and said they have none. So. ??

      • That's funny. I wasted 20 minutes at Croydon this morning after being told they had 6 in stock (turns out they're not stocked, just allocated), and at the end they said they have them in stock in Nunawading. Who to believe?

        • I'd probably trust yours, my guy sounded like he was too lazy to check.

      • Picked one from Nunawading a couple of hours ago. They still had at least 3 left. In the beginning of garden tools aisle with other Ozito tools on the floor.

  • At least 8 left in stock at Acacia Ridge QLD. They also have the Steel Deck 2x18v brushless mowers for $399 which I purchased last year and it's been doing great.

    • Just picked one up! 3 more left at Acacia Ridge.

  • There were 5x left in stock at Chatswood NSW as of 12.20pm today.

  • Two left at Bunnings Hawthorn (Vic) 2PM Fri 29 Oct. 5% trade discount applies (normally no discount on Ozito tools as its 'handyman' stuff).

    • as @TotalBargain said, wouldnt buying on a trade discount void the warranty?

  • About 5 or so left at Noosa :)

Those who have managed to get one - what are your thoughts?

I grabbed one mainly for the line trimmer and odd hedging, but find it very cumbersome, awkward and heavy to use.

It doesn't have a front guard making it hard to judge when near a wall - caused me to scratch some of my fence when I was trying it. And the bump feed doesn't seem to work as well as I was hoping it would.

I've come from using the single 18v with plastic blades, which was a pain to use in itself and wanted to upgrade to the Line Trimmer: https://www.bunnings.com.au/ozito-pxc-2-x-18v-cordless-line-…

Not sure if that would suit my needs better? Seems just as heavy but the angled shaft and front guard may make it easier to use than this multi tool one.

    • Most of the line trimmber don't have a front guard AFAIK as new line can easily be extended once it breaks off whereas the one with the plastic blades needs the guard to protect the blades as once they break you have to replace them and are more hassle/expensive to replace. At least that is what I think.

    • Use front guard on new unit?

      • My thoughts is that I will be returning mine tomorrow for the following reasons:
        - line trimmer is way too heavy, and it’s also overly bulky due to the large guard. It seems you can’t easily mod this single line trimmer to dual line without drilling a hole as there was no removable tab on the other side like seen on older models. Alternatively you can just replace the bump head if you had another to spare, which I don’t have.
        - you must use a pole attachment to connect hedge trimmer or chainsaw to the base unit, which makes it way too long and heavy for low height jobs. Can’t even begin to imagine extending it again for high height jobs with the pole extension - just madness! If you could directly attach these things directly to the base unit then it would be more used for me at least for short height jobs. Just a poor design in my opinion.
        - mine also came with a faulty charger. The other worked fine.

I should know better than buy crap from China.

        • -1

iPhone, MacBook made in China, Tesla is made in China. You get what you paid for, regardless the country of origin. Common sense right? You pay premium for German products for quality but you want to pay little to get quality China product otherwise you complain the whole county? That’s greedy and double standard.

          • @NoBargainNoLife:

iPhone, MacBook made in China, Tesla is made in China. You get what you paid for, regardless the country of origin.

More precisely I meant, “I should know better than to buy crap conceptualised, designed, and made in China.”

        • @bOngOCaT:
What is the length of this?

        • Thanks for the review. I went to Bunnings and they had them in stock but I thought that as I only need the line trimmer I'm better off getting a higher quality line trimmer without all of the other crap that I don't need.

Is there an Ozbarbain view on the best battery trimmer?

        • Lol even the makita one u cannot just directly attach the pruner or chainsaw directly to power head

        • Dual line - did you see the youtube video on page 1 of the comments on this deal?

What will you be exchanging it for? Looking for ideas as I'm unsure whether to get this or properly invest.

  • 13 left at Penrith NSW as of now

    • North Penrith?

      • Not sure about stock at North Penrith

      • Pallet of them (10ish) still at Penrith (the one next to harvey norman) as of 6pm today in the front area out of the aisles.

  • Picked one up at Hawthorn at about 4pm - one left on the floor.

This morning when I called up, Nunawading had 7.

  • 12 left at Port Macquarie.

  • There were 6 at chadstone. Picked up one so 5 left as at 6.10pm

  • Ha ha so there is none in wa? After reading some comments here it seems the trimmer is not as good as the other priced at $155 for skin which I been meaning to grab for a while now.

  • 4 left at Underwood Bunnings QLD 6:55pm

  • Thanks OP.

Got 1 at Oakleigh (Vic). Likely 4 left as at 7pm.

Also called Moorabbin and Mentone earlier today. I can't recall exact numbers they quoted me, but Mentone said they had 10-15 but couldn't find them (they tell me they looked for them out back). Same story at Moorabbin, though a smaller number on the books.

Both stores suggested the units had been allocated to the stores, but probably hadn't been delivered yet. Not sure I buy that given Oakleigh and other Vic stores seem to have them, so could be worth actually going in person.

  • +1

Northland Vic has 8 left, staff can't find them and will tell you they're gone if you call up.

They're in the middle, between aisle 20 and 21.

Edit to add: this was at 8.45 pm, Fri 29th.

    • +1

Thank you, heading to Northland tomorrow - hopefully some left.

  • Can you get the edger disc if you want and fit into the head of this unit?

    • It's not capable of proper edging, the head does not rotate sideways and while you could hold it sideways with the grip that it has, there is no wheel on the guard anyway. You'd have to hover it sideways like any other line trimmer/brush cutter without a wheel. Bolt a wheel on somehow and it'd be ok if you angle the guard right 😉

  • Bought one of these this afternoon. Now having second thoughts. Thinking of returning it. Worried that it might be too heavy and difficult to use, particularly in line trimmer mode. Would mostly only use the line trimmer and pole pruner. Have a Ryobi 36V mower and had been considering buying a Ryobi 36V line trimmer but thought this deal was too good to miss out on. So now need to decide whether to take the Ozito back and buy the Ryobi instead.

Anyone who has bought one and used it can you let us know what you think of it?

    • Read my comment above. In short, I’m returning mine first thing! And don’t forget to revoke vote if you are returning

  • I agree with a lot of comments here.
I have lots of ozito products and mainly purchased this for the brush cutter function.
    Comparison to existing tools
Hedge trimmer / chain saw - very heavy and only 2 lengths possible whereas existing unit is lighter and reasonably adjustable. This unit seems to have more power which is expected. Both units could do with allowing the head to slot into the power handle for smaller jobs.
Chain saw - existing unit does not require spanner for chain adjustment, both require screwdriver. With the existing unit the extra weight of the motorised head unit is a bonus as it holds against the branches being cut.
Line trimmer - existing unit is lighter and a better reach.
Brush cutter - still to try but will be the deal breaker for me.

    • What is the maximum length of this unit?

  • Atleast 10 in Mentone about an hour ago, at the front of the store, turn right at the entrance

  • Just got one, still heaps available at bunnings maroochydore.

  • Thanks to everyone who has provided a review here. Saved me an unnecessary trip and the hassle of dealing with an unsatisfactory product!

  • +1

Bought one, (much) heavier than I thought, but can't complain for the price.
Tried line trimmer this morning. Worked very well; powerful enough for cutting thick grass. Also OK for trimming lawn edges; the Ozito 18V line trimmer can't do it.
It is tricky to use the hedge trimmer and tree pruner when it is fully exentended, mainly due to the weight.
The build quality should be all right for use at home and has 5 years replacement warranty. Overall, happy so far for the purchse.

    • the Ozito 18V line trimmer can't do it.

Are you applying to the one priced at $155 skin as it has good reviews and had my eye on it for a while.

Or are you meaning the cheaper trimmers of ozito

    • The 18v 'line trimmer' you are referring to is actually called a 'Grass trimmer'.

Important to differentiate that between the actual 2 x 18v Line Trimmer they offer, which is reviewed quite well.

    • The 18v grass trimmer can do that if it’s modded to use a dual line, and if you use 4.0ah battery instead of the 2.5ah

  • Bunnings Stafford (QLD) has 8-9 left. They're in the promo item area beyond the registers towards garden centre…it took 10 minutes for the mouth breathers at the "information" counter and tool store to establish this.

    • +1

      Useless bunch

  • 2 in Mansfield QLD, so I went to Aldi and got the 5in1 as it's better imo, only thing ozito one has going for it is the ecosystem.

    • There is no Bunnings in Mansfield QLD. Do you mean MT Gravatt perhaps on Wecker Rd?

      • Correct Mt Gravatt. #mybad

  • Bunnings at Bethania (Qld) had about 8 left this afternoon.

  • 7 left at Watergardens, Victoria (after I picked mine up) Thanks OP

  • Just used it, it's abit on the heavy side, 2 batteries, and the hedge trimmer has abit of weight. Gets abit of getting used too but kind of does the trick

Not sure if should return it or not

Also the attachments are to long for hedge trimmer and mini saw. They should of made a connector at the base. Would of made this product worthwhile

    • +1

My feelings exactly, did my head in when I tried to use the hedge trimmer. It should be designed to allow trimmer to use at shortest length.

  • 3 left at bunnings Chirnside Park. They’re up high with no price tag in isle 26, so hopefully some happy OzBargainers can snap them up!

  • Hi guys, anyone know of any stock available in the northern suburbs or western suburbs of Melbourne?
