There’s also a $15 bonus challenge in Shopback app.

    • -6

The $15 bonus is from catch and price is $15, not $5

      • Shows me the "$15 Vodafone Mobile Challenge" is for Vodafone store for $15 back.

        I'm inđź‘Ť Bought.

        • Bought one , $4 tracked instantly , no sure if $15 will be tracked

          • @NPB: $4 tracking took over 1hr late last night.
            Available by 9 Apr 2022

$15 Challenge just notified as completed.
But only added AFTER regular cashback is confirmed!!

(Missed the $10 - too eager to sign up. Neoika's comment about using both was added after I bought.)

Will likely activate on 180 day plan to make sure I qualify

            • @INFIDEL: Thanks

              • @NPB: I just received the challenge completed notification . What was the additional $10, I missed that part too.

              • +2

@NPB: These Deals are a bit confusing. But worth it for this cashback for $5 spend.

    • +5

Some have both $10 and $15.

      Base cashback is $5 * 80% = $4.

      Potential Max $29 altogether.

  • +1

Don't use a Revolut disposable card as they do $1 authorisation.

    • Just realized that they did the same on my ANZ debit card as well

    • Hi any idea when will they give the $1 back? TA

      • +1

Takes about a week or two for me on my Westpac Debit Card.

  • +1

From the Critical Information Summary -

After My Data and any saved Data Bank data is used, you can
access data at speeds of up to 1.5Mbps until your recharge
    expires.

  • Will this plan support 5G and esim?

  • Could I activate this to get international roaming on Vodafone?

    • vodafone prepaid does allow the purchase of Roaming Add-Ons, which still turn out to $5 per day as per with postpaid, however prepaid roaming don't give you all the inclusions of the plan like postpaid roaming does, only the inclusions of the add-on.

  • +1

What’s the expiry on the SIM card?

    • +3
      • and the maximum possible time it will stay active for without recharging it ?

        • +3

          At least 90 days.

What happens if I don’t recharge my service?

If you don’t recharge for 120 days since the last time you recharged, your number will be disconnected and put into quarantine.

          https://www.vodafone.com.au/support/prepaid/recharge

          It was 395 days before.

    • Cashback requires activation within 30d
Don't know why you'd delay & lose cashback!

  • Prepaid cards - SIM must remain active for 60 days after activation (unless expiration date is otherwise stated by Vodafone).

I just placed an order successfully.

      • +3

Hope it does not affect tracking!

        $5 paid, expecting $15+$10+$4 cashback!

        • Ooh sounds like a good deal. How does the cashback work?

          • @GJT: Update in the comment above. Shopback APP needed. $10 challenge may be closed now.

BTW, SB tracked already, pretty soon!!!

            • @Neoika: $10 challenge is still open.
2777 participants but only 224/500 claimed.

But didn't know about it until read your comment - after purchase! Got the $15 Challenge.

the plan is only valid for 28 days, so you'll need to recharge it 2 times to gain cashback or can you just cancel autorecharge and get cashback ??

          • +9

@USER DC: Only noobs cant do it.

Option 1: activate it on 180 days plan

Option 2: use a new/spare number and leave it expired till 60+ days pass.

BTW, I got VF cashback appoved before.

            • +1

@Neoika: yeah just didnt knew if this start kit actually gives option to change to long expiry plan

            • @Neoika: Bookmarked!
Need to park a long term number anyway. Usually use a free Amaysim offer. But this is better!!

            • @Neoika:

Option 1: activate it on 180 days plan

but isn't the 180 days plan can only be activated on Pay and Go Starter Pack and not Prepaid Plus Starter Pack?

              • +1

@jamessong: These are the same. I bought a $40 prepaid plus pack and activate on PAYG. Got $40 credit and 1GB data with 365-day expiry.

      • Same 35min ago, received confirmation email. Waiting on SB tracking.

        • Tracked at $4

    • same, 11:15pm

    • yep at 00:06

    • Have ordered just now.

      • Have ordered just now.

Same, no idea what I'm getting into, hope it tracks

  • Tried Voda last month, was atrocious in Brisbane suburbs compared to Telstra. Would not recommend except for the Uber uses!

    • Obviously depends on your local circumstances!

  • +1

5 hours later website still down. Lol.

  • Was able to order now
Ebay order still not tracked hoping that at least this vodafone will track (have got screen recording of this vodafone trans though)

  • OMG

    didn't read

For $30, $40, $50 and $60 Prepaid Plus, all inclusions expire after 28 days or upon next recharge, whichever occurs first.
it relied upon the comment https://www.ozbargain.com.au/comment/11315778/redir

seems so unlucky cant get cashback i thought so that it was not going to be that good, and yes seems like i was right initially

    Prepaid Plus
Not for commercial or resale purposes. For $10 Prepaid Plus, all inclusions expire after 7 days or upon next recharge, whichever occurs first. For $20 Prepaid Plus, all inclusions expire after 14 days or upon next recharge, whichever occurs first. For $30, $40, $50 and $60 Prepaid Plus, all inclusions expire after 28 days or upon next recharge, whichever occurs first. For $150 Prepaid Plus, all inclusions expire after 185 days or upon next recharge, whichever occurs first. For $250 Prepaid Plus, all inclusions expire after 365 days or upon next recharge, whichever occurs first. All offer end dates, and recharge times are in Australian Eastern Standard or Daylight time (AEST/AEDT).

    • What part are you pointing out?

      • +2

        It’s $5 + $30 + $10 = $45 minimum spend to qualify for any cashback.

        • +2

Just read critical summary and information https://www.vodafone.com.au/doc/cis/prepaid/prepaid_plus_nov…

          it says

You will lose all of your balances including Data Bank and My Credit, if you do not recharge your service
within 90 days of your last recharge expiry date. You will also lose your Mobile number and Account with us if
you do not recharge your service within 120 days of your last recharge expiry date.

So my guess is that once we activate, it we can just cancel auto recharge and sim will stay active for 120 days.( for incoming calls/sms only)

  • How fast is delivery normally?
Probably too risky to get it before the weekend I assume

    • Just bought it, it says Friday.

    • From memory they use StarTrack and is normally pretty quick.

      • Oh wow StarTrack on a $5 purchase (plus $$'s from ShopBack).

  • Next 2 recharge as well? So $15 for 3 months?

    • I can't see anywhere it says that. Also 28 days doesn't maketh a month.

      • +3

        February says hi!

    • +1

the "next 2 recharges" refers to the 25gb bonus data, so the next two recharges you get 40gb per recharge, then it goes back to the regular 15gb

      • I still don't get it; soo is it $5 for the next 2 recharges as well?

Or only $5 for the first month and then $30 after that?

        • +1

it's only $5 for the first month, if you chose to recharge again it would be $30

  • +5

Is Shopback really offering 80% cashback on Vodafone prepaid? So I get get the $150 12 month plan and get $120 cashback… Has anyone tried?

    • Wouldn't risk SB on a big transaction

    • +1

Prepaid 365 Plus plan is not eligible for cashback

      • I see that under the Dont's section, but I also don't see any plan sold by Vodafone called "Prepaid 365 Plus"

      • +1

Not listed as the Prepaid 365 Plus plan. That is what prepaid used to be able to be Activated on, which is excluded.
Can't find it in a search or on Vodafone.

        This is the
$250 Prepaid Plus Starter Pack online for just $150.
With 150GB My Data to use over 12 months.

T&C: Prepaid 365 Plus plan, prepaid SIMs with multiple pre-loaded recharges, or any other plan not listed in the schedule on this page.

SB lists prepaid starter packs as 80% cashback

Very tempting with $100 off, $120 cashback + $10 & $15 Challenges making it almost FREE!

But confusing! And potentially risky if cashback refused!

        Needs confirmation by Rep.
Likely their T&C are out of date & this is excluded.

        • That's what I was thinking, but yes needs confirmation. Will see what I can find out.

    • Might be risky - CR specifically has a cashback category for the 6 and 12 month prepaid SIMs vs the 28 day SIMs

    • Asked Rep. SB replied in other Deal - unlikely cashack on 12 month SIMs like this. But waiting for confirmation from Vodafone

  • +1

Have anyone confirmed it with the Shopback Rep if the $150 12 month plan is eligible for cashback ?

  • +1

Thks OP Got one I get good vodafail reception where I live

  • +3

Both $15 and $10 challenges completed for one VF purchased last night.

  • -1

Can you port your number to this?

  • I claimed the $15 Shopback challenge and successfully placed an order, only to get an email from Vodafone a couple of hours later saying my bank declined the purchase (wtf).
I rang VF and they said there was no way for me to provide new payment details over the phone and my order has been cancelled.

The $15 challenge has already tracked and now the $10 challenge has disappeared, so I can't use that either :(

    • I just received an email from Vodafone to say my SIM has been shipped… but I chose to pick it up from a store :|
I wonder what will happen when I get to the store and they pull up my order to see it's been cancelled?

  • +1

    $5 SIM delivered in Brisbane.

    Good timing.
My 3mth Kogan SIM expires on 8/12. That's 30d after this SIM was ordered.
Will Activate & Port number on 7 or 8/12 - required within 30d for cashback.

  • Do the Sims come activated?
If not, how long can you wait before activating the sim?

  • Anyone having trouble activating today?
Tried early morning but they were having server maintenance and got stuck.

Now it won't progress beyond the credit card page: "Sorry, we were unable to save this credit card. Please try another credit card."
The card itself is fine, I tried a new card with a different sim and it works, but no card works for this sim now.

Contacted support who claimed to help me activate manually, but not the case, activation key is still alive.

Have been at this all morning, uggh so frustrating. The error is on an unwanted feature too, I don't need the saved credit card feature.

    • I had similar issue before. I guess you clicked too fast and wanted to go back and untick auto recharge that requires you to enter card number again? I waited for 2 days and activated it without issue.

      Thanks for your data gift.

      • Thanks Neoika! Good to know that it does reset.
I didn't go back but the system didn't accept the credit card number first time, second attempt going through the whole thing, the system later said credit card validation is down and can be skipped, but then the entire activation site went down. Third attempt onwards it won't accept any credit card number.

        • I have been having other issues recently, and only just figured out that Vodafone IP addresses, at least from these sims, are mostly rated as very high fraud risk, so expect credit cards to be declined randomly etc. Never had been an issue before.

Ironically, this happened on Vodfone's activation page!!!

  • I just realised I never received the Sim
Checked Vodafone tracking and it simply says despatched 16/11
    Startrack at its best

Will chase em up, what a joke

  • Hi OP, contacted vodafone and asked about $5 on next 2 recharges and they had no idea about this. How do I make sure I'll get $5 on my next 2 recharges?

    • Hey Zapwap, I believe $5 off applies when you set up automatic rechargers. Lucky for you they offer the same on current deal found here as well - https://www.vodafone.com.au/prepaid/30-starter

Try giving the rep this link or you can follow the prompts on the same web page. Hope this helps :)

      • Get it for $5 with 40GB total data for use in Oz on activation and your next two $30 Prepaid Plus recharges.

Thanks OP, just a clarification, in the post you've mentioned get the plan for $5 and then pay $5 for the next two recharges. Is it $5 off next recharges or for $5?

        • Now that I re-read it not sure of this myself. However I did copy and pasted direct from Vodafone website description at the time. So you can use the same and ask the rep to apply what you infer from it. Very confusing wording and sorry I couldn't be of more help.

ps-Don't forget to add this deal too. Worked for me. https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/670179

Thanks GJT and no worries. Do you have a link to it by any chance? I mean to the wording?
