Same tasty looking savings on that page. I like the looks of this one:

Save up to 57% off RRP on select Sandisk & Western Digital Storage devices

    • +6

the words up to and select don't look good though

    • off the inflated RRP…

      • Can only wait and see. Hopefully there is one good deal out of the different sizes. I don't necessarily need to go for the biggest. I'd be worried about losing that much data at a time really.

  • Getting my debit card ready for an online shopping spree

    • make sure it is not visa

      • +2

        Visa debit excluded..

        • +1

Visa debit works without getting charged.

      • I have Mastercard. What's with the visa debit exclusion?

      • Does using Zip Visa disposable card attract surcharge too?? From my experience paying at shops using Gpay with Zip pay sends out via Visa credit

        • +2

No, because a Zip Visa disposable card is not a credit card, it's a prepaid card.

  • +50

Whenever I see “up to” I suspect it’s a trap.

    6.7% discount on GC.

    • +8

I don't think 'a $5 promotional credit' means they give you $5 back in cash. It would be more likely to be an extra $5 gift card. If you're paying $75 for $80 worth of gift cards, that's only a 6.25% discount.

      • +1

Promotional credit instead of gift card, so would have extra restrictions like only being able to use on products sold by Amazon AU etc. like the current Oculus bonus offer

  • +1

Thanks OP, I also got this “ Get $15.00 off when you spend more than $15.00. Redeem here then add more than $15.00 of eligible items to your cart. Discount applied to items sold by Amazon only. Promo code PRIME15”

Although I am not first time prime subscriber.

    • based on Sydney time

Always good when you don't have to stay up to midnight. The benefits of no daylight savings.

Was hoping they will include free shipping from Amazon US without the minimum $49 spend like they did last Black Friday sales.

    • Still might…

  • +1

Do we get $5 credit for every $75 spent on a GC or is it capped at $5?

    • have the same Q.

    • +1

      Only once

    • +3

hey there I got this from the T&Cs

Limit one promotional credit per Amazon.com.au account

      • +1

        Thanks mate, I appreciate it.

  • How many gift cards can I use for one transaction?

    • you add it to your account and it forms one big balance. It's different to ebay

      • So I can buy a few $75, get $5 from each of them and then use it all together?
Nevermind, seems like $5 bonus is a single use.

    • +2

      This is from the T&Cs

Limit one promotional credit per Amazon.com.au account.

Soooo can a discounted gift card be used to buy another gift card? Asking for a friend.

    • Nope. Coles Gift Mastercards should be fine though.

  • Any E-Scooter on special please?

    • yes, so far the best deal is $300 off the Segway Ninebot Kickscooter Max G30
and if you're after a cheaper option you can take a gamble on this Ahatech

……im also in the market atm for an escooter, was hoping for more of a blanket sale off the whole Ninebot range (i.e. x% off all of them, not just one), fingers crossed on actual Black Friday they drop.

      • You meant the G30LP? If yes, that's more like normal sale price, still too exp. I'm hoping G30 will go down to 799 max

  • +15

Reminder: Using Amazon credit makes your transaction ineligible for Cashback.
Only use it when you buy cheap items

    • +3

Or use on items from Amazon categories that don't attract cashback. There's normally plenty of those these days!

And you really think that during the Black friday/Cyber Monday sale Amazon will not have a small window (like 4 hours maybe) of cashback (or upsized cashback) on all the categories ?

        • +1

May still be worth though for buying something post Black Friday/Cyber Monday (from Pantry Food & Drinks category for example which is usually 0%) as there's a long expiry for the promo credit (May 31st next year). I only just bought some more gift cards from the SB 6% Revolut deal but still bought this just then with a Coles Gift Mastercard.

        • They probably will but all I'm saying is that there are plenty of opportunities during the year to use the credit on items you may want that will be 0% cashback. You can choose when you use it to pay for a purchase i.e. you don't have to use it if it is going to cost you cashback. Save it and use it when it doesn't

          • @bean_counter: I don't think they will. Didn't they recently adjust their cashback % too? I remember reading something recently about Kitchen increasing to 8%.

        • And look SB today 6-8 PM 10% CB upto $25 I wasnt wrong

    deal is live.

Congratulations. Your purchase qualifies you for a $5 promotional credit. • Done, too easy

  • +8

The promotional code you entered cannot be applied to your purchase

    • Receiving the same error on a $75 e-gift card

    • Same

    • Same here

    • I'm also getting this message

    • Me2

    • It does that if you have already applied for it. But it will still go through - done that twice in the past. But don’t quote me on it now.
I’m having the same message myself now

  • Purchased :))

  • bought

  • Not valid 🤔

  • Worked for me.

  • Not working.

    • +1

Yeah not working for me as well.

Error - The promotional code you entered cannot be applied to your purchase.

  • -1

    Pretty lame offer, no?

    • No. If you're going to spend $75 or more on a product you can get $5 off. Use that $5 to go get your partner some Maccas soft serve.

      • +3

It's equivalent to $5 off $80 but not $5 off $75 because what we are paying is $75.
The saving is 6.25% only so if there is any special cash back offer which is more than 6.25%, it's better off to go for the cash back instead of paying by gift card.

        • +2

Still enough for that Maccas soft serve lol

          • @Clear: Kindle is 7% cashback. 0.75% more on $169 is like $1.20. What's the price of a soft-serve these days? Based on the housing market, I'm assuming like $20?

  • +2

Don't use mobile view and you'll see the promo acknowledgment message

    • I forgot it doesn't show the message on the app and ordered anyway, I should have still successfully gotten the $5 right? I pasted in the code, tapped Apply, no error message/or anything at all, and completed the order.
got the standard confirmation email at 12.07

    • +1

This. There's a banner that shows the promo code applying on desktop browser saying:

"Congratulations. Your purchase qualifies you for a $5 promotional credit….. etc etc"

That doesn't show in mobile app/browser, but when I loaded the checkout on my browser, the banner displays, confirming that the promo code was applied already.

  • Mine didn't work on apps but okay on the website when using the laptop.

  • Not working for me either

  • Amazon chat said 10k already gone..but not sure how reliable they are.

    • Use browser. Don’t use app or mobile app.
      Use desktop browser version.

  • Worked fine for me a few mins ago. Emailed voucher just came through.
Just used mobile browser… "You successfully redeemed your promotional code" shows up

  • Promtional code you entered cannot be applied to your purchase - OzB’ed!!!

    • Worked fine for me just then on desktop. The deal hasn't even had 3k clicks yet btw.

    • Tried on mobile app, safari browser, Google browser, Cashrewards app - all get above message - too hard work at 1am for $5. I can’t be arsed turning my laptop on - sigh

  • worked for me on browser. thanks op

  • It's not working even on browser on mobile phone.

  • worked for me on browser. Thanks

  • Didn’t work on mobile phone but customer chat added instantly 5$ I used already. Haven’t received the gift card yet saying pending???

    • mine is also processing

      • So weird isn’t it. My missus did the same and actually got the confirmation of the 5$ credit on the computer but also waits for the gift card.

  • +1

So just had a look, I can see on the non mobile webpage the code is added without typing it in, when a voucher worth $75 or more is added to the cart it shows the below message in the checkout

    ‘Qualifying offers
Congratulations. Your purchase qualifies you for a $5 promotional credit. You will receive an email confirming when the credit has been automatically applied to your account within 8 business days after your order is shipped (for physical gift cards) or the order being completed (for electronic gift cards).’

  • Can’t work out if the $5 credit is working or not as the given code didn’t work. However, there’s a congratulation message about the $5 credit on the top of the checkout screen in desktop mode.

    • +4

Yes, as long as you see - Qualifying offers: Gift Card Promotion - at checkout, it means it's working and good to go.

The first time you redeem the code, it is automatically saved to your account. If you try applying it again, it will present the error message "cannot be applied" because Amazon has automatically applied the offer already.

      • +1

        Thanks for clarifying.

      • Yeah, that’s what I got. Tried on the mobile app but didn’t see any confirmation so then tried on my desktop PC and it said the code couldn’t be applied, but it did say the purchase qualifies for an offer and I took a screenshot of it just in case!

I think the same thing happened last time!
