Can you please outline what your warranty process would be for this treadmill?

After having issues with robot vacuum, stick vac, and security camera I'm pretty hesitant to drop $500+ on another xiaomi product, and especially again with your shop after how the warranty enquiries were dealt with for all three items.

    • +5

If that had been my experience I don't think any reply from them would hold much water

      • You're right but just thought of all the xiaomi resellers/agents these guys somehow still have the best reputation…and thought maybe there might be a better process in place for an item like a runner which is interacted with relatively roughly..

        • +2

I also note they managed to reply to a comment left after yours, but still haven't replied to you re the warranty process - red flags galore

I had a different experience with gearbite:
My S6 robot was broken so I shot them an email, got a reply within 24hours, they paid for postage and fixed the robot.
The whole process took around 2 weeks( this happened in 2021, during lockdown, and I lived in Melbourne)
I am pretty happy with GEARBITE.
Of course this is just my personal experience.

They won't reply, even if they do, they'd say it's extensively used and can't be return.

  • Just bought X21 for 1499 a week ago and the item only arrived this morning and now realised it’s $100 cheaper? Not a good customer experience .. Any price guarantee you can provide @Gearbite? It’s an amazing machine though, love it.

    • Please contact us at [email protected] regarding price different.

      • I have sent an email to the email address, please check. Thanks.

    • I'm a bit lost. 1499? $100? Thought whatever the X21 is is showing here as $1013.22. What obvious thing am I missing?

      • the price is now $1399
Then you can use eBay offer on top of the discounted price which brings it to $1013.22

        • I did use the eBay offer last time on $1499 too but it was discounted by $300 as there is a cap on $300. I think the cap is still applied so it won’t be 1031.22, most likely $1099 = $1399-$300. I could be wrong. Someone can prove maybe :)

          • +1

@angelsdsd: should be $1099 after discount, max discount $300.

          • @angelsdsd: Wife wants me to look at the top of the line NordicTrack. That 32" screen monster. Wonder how this would compare with a wall mounted 40" screen. On sale the NT is like $4999. Wonder if it's really worth 4-5 times as much as this.

@seamonkey: I'd say it's good for what it is but not a full scale Treadmill if the intention is for serious running. The top speed is 12km/h, it's good for some but not for all. Also the app itself is pretty so so, very basic function and doesn't integrated with iOS fitness app well - e.g. it doesn't log work out in the app at least from what I can see for today's testing. If you use a sports watch that can log indoor walking/running and you don't plan to run more than 12km/h, I'd say it's a good investment - you can also put this under standing desk which the traditional treadmill doesn't allow you to do that. Hope this helps.

I asked this question on the last deal post by Gearbite but did not receive an answer.

Can the spin bikes be used without those apps (Yesoul, Zwift, Kinomap) listed in the descriptions?
I would like to use with my Peloton app.

Also what is the flywheel weight for the M1? Can’t see this info on the listing. The other one (S3) lists the flywheel weight (7.5 kg).

Last question - which delivery provider do you use to Melbourne metro? Is it Toll?
    Thanks.

    • I am not sure about Peloton App. Flywheel of M1 is 6.15kg, we will use Allied express or Toll.

      • Thanks. I guess the first question is - can the bike still be used if I don’t use any one of those three apps (Yesoul, Zwift, Kinomap)?

        • Bike still can be used without app but you can't monitor the speed, etc. I sometimes use without app. Please note this Australia bike is not including heart monitor arm band..

          • @solpiry: Ah thank you so much for your comment! Helpful to know and decide whether to go for it. I’m reluctant to go through another nightmarish experience with Toll again.

  • has anyone had experiences with R1 and can comment? I find flimsy treadmill belts wear over time and i end up with rubber all over the floors.

    • +1

      I don’t but a previous post had comments on the R1. https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/668080

      • Thanks, now I am curious if the R2 is worth the price difference! From what I can tell it pretty much just has a better looking build.

        • Sorry I can’t help you with that but good luck deciding and hope you’re happy with what you end up buying!

    • I have the R1 bought via Kogan. No problem so far.

      https://www.kogan.com/au/buy/fortis-walkingpad-foldable-smar…

I bought it for $489 on Kogan First membership. Only small issue is that you can feel where belts are joined if you are bare foot. But best to wear shoes anyway while exercising and you can’t feel it.

  • Has anyone tried working on a standing desk whilst walking on a walk pad at the same time?

It must be an interesting experience

    • I have bought this for the exact purpose :) you can certainly do certain type of work while walking but not all.

    • I work, play games, watch anime/Netflix all on a treadmill standing desk combo, although I have the Lifespan Fitness version combo with the desk: https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/393108041030

The only issue I have is with my Fitbit not registering my steps if I lean my hand on the desk to play certain type of games.

  • Thanks Op ordered S3
