Assumptions: That there is a 7200rpm 2tb additional drive. Comparable case and Power Supply used. Also used a retail cost for windows, a key could potentially sourced cheaper (but this isn't optional in the deal).

This looks like a cracking deal, if you want some higher end components than recent deals.

The case ain't the prettiest thing out there. But with Front: 3 x 120 mm Rear: 1 x 140 mm. It's gonna do some work with the liquid cooler.

I’m about to bloooowww!!! How long does one hold for because of world war 3

    • +1

I wouldn't wait for War World 3. This might not be delivered before then.

    • WW3 only can increase price

  • +4

Hold. Price will come down further in April

    • +6

As we get closer to September and 4080/4090 releases all these will get cheaper. The question is, how long can we hold?

      • been rocking the 980 ti for 5 years now and still running triple A games at 40+ max settings (thank god i have gsync monitor)
the 5820k getting a little long in the tooth though…

        • +8

I'm rocking a HD7870 and haven't been able to run Triple A games since.. a while

          • +3

            @NedStark102: RIP
i remember thinking nah im gonna skip the 2080 the msrp is too high….
then the 3080 sold out instantly huuuuuuuuuuuu

i remember the days when $1200 was reserved for the absolute most ridiculous flagship (galax hall of fame) with insane binning and 300W TDP, now we're at 300W standard and flagships at 2k lmao

          • +2

            @NedStark102: Mate I ve in the same boat. HODL for 10 years! Rocking a i5 750 with a 7970!

        • I just flogged off my 2070 Super, and the ol' 3930K doesn't have an iGPU, so I'm PC-less until I either pick up a new GPU or replace this aging system… can't hold much longer!

      • Any ideas how much the 4080/4090 will cost?

        • no one knows..
if they follow last years MSRP then the 4080 should be $700 usd
most likely they will follow market trends though and release at $1200 usd or something insane
          ust wait and see.
i personally think buying the big dip before the new cards release is the way to go but i could be wrong !
          Follow your Heart !

          • @Puffy Vulva: Thanks mate! I'm looking to upgrade in Sep/Oct for Starfield's release so will hopefully pick up a cheap 3080 build then!

            • -2

@Heracles26: yeah definitely wait it out then.
by then 30 series will absolutely be "last gen" and you should be able to nab some good deals somewhere in between. don't discount AMD either, if you plan to game at native resolution (above 1440p) then FSR is superior to DLSS due to the ghosting artifacts in DLSS and the adaptability of FSR. I personally believe (aka my opinion) FSR will become a industry standard much like VRR has become.

      • End of this year when the 40xxx series releases would be the most perfect time to upgrade your system. Not only is the new series coming out but crypto and miners got (profanity).

    • +5

Rocking a 486 DX66, Voodoo 5, CRT 24in, sound blaster cambridge soundworks 2.1 Runs Quake 2 10 fps. HODL until the 4080/4090 comes out…. going to be a hell of a performance upgrade.

      • +1

Jesus I think I actually owned one of these back in the day, the lolz.

      • +3

        Doubt.

Who'd pair such a high end GPU with such a low end CPU? Only a lunatic.

        • +1

I think Magik meant when he upgrades the whole system, not just changing the GPU to a 4080/4090 and pair with the ancient 486 CPU. I doubt they will work together.

          • +2

            @edfoo: Oh… I meant the Voodoo 5 doesn't match the 486… I wasn't clear and my joke criticism failed.

            • +1

@FabMan: Righto. Yes, your joke wasn't clear.

            • +1

              @FabMan: Lol I got it

            • +1

@FabMan: i got it too - we would probably have been into early Pentium II or IIIs or if you couldn't afford that, a Celeron processor by the time it was paired with a Voodoo 5, right? maybe… ?
It's a long time ago so I can't be sure - trip down memory lane…Dabbled with some old XTs with mono green or orange monitors, and C64s plugged into CRT TVs, but then did have 386, 486 DX-2/66, Celeron, Pentium, all sorts back in the day. Some of those early PCs weighed a ton too - solid steel cases. Paired up with 14.4K Modem, 28.8k, then maxed out at 56K and a 10x CD-Rom for a while before that ramped up to 48x - damn did we think some of that tech was good too. Can't remember too much about the video cards, they weren't as important once. It was like being on the pioneering journey of PCs and game development along with it… Showing my age.

              • @MrFrugalSpend: It's strange, upgrades were massive then, new CPU generally brought huge performance gains but we get excited for a 10 to 20% performance upgrade.

              • @MrFrugalSpend: I had a celeron 566mhz (pentium ii inferior version) back in the day with windows 98.
Little clippy was part of my desktop

      • And hell of a energy consumption increase. People speculate you'd at least need 1000w+ to run those gpu because they are double the performance of 30 series and double the watt, however cause of the new manufacturing technology. It can decrease 10-15% but still hitting 1000+ watt

    • I keep seeing references to a price decrease in April but not exactly sure why…

      • Maybe Intel card release?

  • +4

750w psu for this power hungry CPU? 240mm cooler? Not enough to cool this thing.

    • For $80 you can get the 850w and there is a 1000w option ($210). Also the estimated wattage is 705w by pcpartpicker, so some to spare.

      • The price is insane. You have to pay $210/$250 for 280/360 AIO upgrade. Also not sure what brand they are using for the AIO

        • Both out of stock, however I do get your point. But you also need to find it, install it or just buy a different PC.

      • If it consumes 700w, I would be installing a 1000w PSU.

However it won't actually use that much. There isn't a real world workload that uses 100% CPU and 100% GPU, the power consumption of 12th intel chips is actually very good under 5ghz.

    • Very tempting to get this If they come with 850w PSU & 360 AIO

  • is it still just the one bloke operating the business?

      • Hopefully you work your reputation up again. History of Titan Tech has not been forgiving

  • damn, I should have waited for this deal instead of rushing other deal 3 months ago…

    • The longer you HODL the less you regret.

      • +1

yeah hold forever, buy never. never regret

    • 3 months is a long time at current market. If you want another 3 months, you may get even better deal again. Buy it at the time when you need one.

      Memory: Corsair Vengeance RGB Pro 32 GB (4 x 8 GB) DDR4-3200 CL16 Memory ($238.00 @ I-Tech)

  • +1

Would this be better than the Dell XPS8950 12900 3080 deal?

    • +2

yeah keen to know as well… I actually asked for this in their other thread XD

      The XPS
      * has DDR5 ram

      This one has:
      *Better motherboard
      *2TB HDD
      * ATX form factor, so should mean easy to upgrade or replace parts unlike the XPS.
      * Better cooling I guess?

I m not sure about this "Deepcool" PSU tho, would much prefer they throw in a Corsair.

    • I think so, you will probably get better cooling, a 2tb hard drive, and I hope it doesn't have any bloatware. I'm not sure if its lhr or not, in the description it doesn't say so.

      • Everything new is LHR now.

    • +2

There are arguments for both. Dell has better faster ram, but god knows what ram, no mention of PSU.
This has known parts, slower ram, an additional 2tb drive and 2 years warranty.
Also will the dell ever be back in stock, with a 20% discount.

    • Yes decisions, was looking at the https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/334335972968 with "Dell XPS 8950 Desktop 12th Gen Core i7-12700 32GB RAM 1TB SSD RTX™ 3070 LHR" and raising the RAM to 64GB.

Gives me something to think about….

      • dells XPS has a 480w Bronze PSU (and thats with an i7 12nonK and 3070) the previous dell xps has a 500w gold80+! Man are they penny pinchers @dell

  • Is the GPU a LHR one?

    • Sure is.

    • +2

for you its 2 year old FHR one: https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/363718362612

for just $300 more you get the whole i9 12th gen PC. Crazy scalpers on ebay.

I don't think we'll make it to September for the 4080. Nvidia leaked. Putin is nuking everyone. Get this one and so long everyone. It's been a good ride

  • Interesting choice of mono and psu for the 12900k and 3080…

  • Man I'm kinda sad now, I bought this build I linked below just over 2 weeks ago and it's working like a dream but this seems to be a much better deal :(

    • +1

I like the look of yours better! Sweet… Kraken!

      • I absolutely love it!! :D

I kind of had no choice but to upgrade as my PC (Ryzen5/rx580 from 2017) died and after a few weeks without one I ended up getting this build

    • Lol I also did this, joke is I haven't even received it yet… Shit feeling

  • Do you ever do specials on custom builds? I'd be more interested if I could change the case, upgrade the power supply, increase the RAM and add spinning disks. I don't just game and I need plenty of slow storage in addition to fast system drives.

    • We can definitely organize something, message our Facebook page or email us on [email protected]

      • Thanks. Will do when I'm ready to buy.

  • +1

im so over liquid coolers, their performance is just rubbish

on a low TDP 65w ryzen 5 3600 both silverstone and coolermaster 240mm AIOs were louder and performed worse than a cheap air cooler

currently running a $29 deepcool gammax400 and it's so much quieter and runs ~15 degrees cooler

builders need to go back to them and pass the savings onto the consumer

    • Unless you have an OC cpu and OC capable MB and your prepared to spend a LOT of time finding the stable sweet spot (and not max OC) your almost always better off with the non OC version of all of them (and the added expense) and go with a good AIR cooler. Some get close to the venerable Nok these days too at a <1/3 $$.$$

  • Hmmm, definitely checks out to be a good deal price wise but is the motherboard going to be enough? E.g. this review says the motherboard might not be sufficient for i9 and this is the best i9 chip… https://tech4gamers.com/best-z690-motherboards/#msi-pro-z690…
Any choice for upgrading the motherboard?

    • Browse random websites, get random reviews.

    • So far we have not had any issues with the motherboard yet!

  • i bought my 6gb 1060 gpu for 150 and sold it for 475 on ebay 2 and a half years later,

Has anyone ever got a hold of this seller by phone or messenger…
I just read some interesting posts in Reddit.
    ?

    • Hhhmmm. Those comments look concerning. Sound like TT is a one man band, probably doing it as a side gig at night

      • Got a hold of him by phone and messenger.
Once I did, he we very responsive.

Fingers crossed all goes well .
        :)

    • same I've tried to email and fb message them. Nothing yet :/

      Concerned customer

  • Am I right in assuming you are taking a bit of a punt on your PC part picker list? It seems like unless you customise the build they aren’t specifying brand on some of the components. Genuine question, not throwing shade.

  • +1

Has anyone had theirs dispatched yet? I bought within an hour of this deal being posted. Messaged a few times but had no response. Recieved tracking info an hour after my first message (on march 11th) but it has remained at "scheduled for pick up" since then and still no response to my emails.

    • Same here, I bought it a little over a week ago and it remains as "Your order is confirmed". I reached out via email and messaging but no response, I tried giving them a call and no one is picking up. This is my first time buying from Titan Tech, can anyone share if they're having a similar experience?

    • I can see on their website now this alert "ALL CARBON MARK III AND MARK V'S ORDERS WILL TAKE 2-3 WEEKS", hopefully everything will be alright.

      • I bought mine 3 weeks ago to the day. I tried Facebook after messaging a few times through their site and still no response. So I rang them today. Isaac answered straight away. When he heard my order number he knew who i was straight away and said the pc had been built and has been waiting for over a week to be collected but for some reason every time the couriers didnt take it with them. He said he will cancel the shipping and try a different courier… he seemed genuine enough over the phone, but I have not recieved any new tracking numbers etc yet. I guess I'll just have to wait another week and see what happens.

The lack of communication is the most annoying thing, I understand things happen and there are delays but to sit around not knowing what's happening after spending so much is a bit nerve wracking.

I live in WA so it will usually take 2 weeks after dispatch to arrive from the east coast. So will be near 5 weeks since I ordered providing it gets posted in the next few days

        Fingers crossed

        • Hey Cantthink899, wanted to check if you receive your purchase yet or had any further communication with Titan Tech?

          • @Kimball92: Hey. Nope not recieved yet. I messaged them a week later on facebook as still didnt have an update and someone finally replied saying they will check it for me… they never did… so i messaged again a few days later asking if there was any update. They read it but didnt reply. So a few days later I said that I will have to cancel the order soon as it had already been a month and I have no idea what's going on….

They replied a few days later saying they are understaffed but will look into it now for me…. I heard nothing again until today coincidentally just after you had replied to me on here… 9 days after the last message saying they will look into it for me…

They said it has shipped now and wondered if I had recieved it… I havent yet.

So ye. Just waiting to see now I guess. Has been 5 and a half weeks since I ordered and paid for it. Not exactly ideal, I'm just hoping it turns up and doesnt have anything wrong with it

          • @Kimball92: Quick update. Pc arrived this morning. Some positives and negatives. I'll give a quick summary so far.

Start with positives… It looks good and runs. The listing stated an I9-12900K But i have actually received an I9-12900KF. I am unsure how much of a difference that makes but according to user benchmark it is faster.

Now negatives- the main one being i can not see the "Extra Storage: Western Digital 2TB Hard Drive". When i opened the box i looked and thought i could not see it and now i have the pc on it only says i have a 1GB SSD installed. So i am pretty sure they have not installed my extra hard drive. I have messaged them with photos, see what they say. Atleast it is only the extra storage that is missing. It might be hidden somewhere near the power supply as that bit is not visible through the case, but the fact it doesn't show up on my pc suggests it has not been installed.

The next is a minor negative for me, I'm unsure how this whole buying a pc from a builder works, but when i turned it on it wouldn't connect to the internet, After windows troubleshoot it turns out none of the drivers were installed. I was given a disk with drivers on it from titan tech but the PC has no disk drive. So i had to go on a seperate PC to download the drivers to a USB and then install them on my PC. I installed them and it connected and now i'm installing all other drivers that are not installed. Again i am unsure how this works so this could be 100% common but seems a bit odd to me that i needed another pc just so i can use basic features on this one.

Overall it's been 6 weeks since i ordered. I think i got a good price, but not sure i would bother again with the hassle of it all. Now time to see if i can get some response to the missing hard drive

          • @Kimball92: Ok just found another negative… turns out windows has not been activated. I have windows 10 on the PC but i now have a watermark in the right side saying it has not been activated. In the settings it says there is no product key on my device error code :0xC004F213. So now i have to try and sort that too.

I hope you have better luck with yours

            • @Cantthink899: Hey Cantthink899, thank you so much for the details and updates, It's very worrying and odd how the situation has turned especially seeing all the positive reviews for Titan Tech.

Definitely a good price, I really hope they get back to you soon and resolve all the issues so that your PC becomes perfect the way you want it.

              Many Thanks

            • @Cantthink899: I posted this in good faith and it seems they really haven't delivered for you. The specs included "Windows Installed & Activated Ready to Go" from description, so you should have a legitimate windows installed I would of thought. Sis they resolve all these issues?

              • +1

@Testeagle: Hey mate. Ye they sorted it in the end. They sent me a code to use to activate windows and it worked. They also refunded me 80 bucks for the missing hard drive.

Cheers for posting this deal though. I still think it's the best value pc I have seen since I started looking a few months back, especially for an i9 12th gen.

                • @Cantthink899: As long as they got it sorted that's great. Unfortunately the more I looked around, the more bad press I see on these guys. I don't think I'll post future deals from them.
