I've had so many of the keyswitches themselves (not the keycaps) pop open (broken) on these boards, I'm not buying another.
    Sick of warantying them.

    Good price though.

You must type furiously…keyboard warrior? ;)

      • +2

Typing with a scythe is not recommended.

      • 110-122WPM, so, fast, but not insane.

        • +5

Cool story bro. But I can do 123WPM, any day of the week.

          • +1

@EuphratesFate: I can do 124WPM, but only on Tuesdays.

            • +5

@MrPants: I can do 125WPM but you won’t find every word in a dictionary brah

              • @bloom: I can do 126WPM if I have a banana split before hand

                • +2

@Michael15286: I do 131 but only without pants on. Makes it uncomfortable at work, but I get the work done god damn it.

    • typing with your elbows?

  • +2

oh no…i bought the clicky for $249 last week. i'm ruined.

you know what i hate about these keyboards is that logitech think they're being "premium" by not backlighting the secondary function keys

  • good find

  • +5

I've had one of these for close to a year and haven't encountered any issues at all, with heavy to moderate daily use.
Absolutely love it (much better than the Razer Pro-Type I was using previously)… Battery life is great, buttons give just the right amount of tactile feedback for me - and it looks awesome too.

    • Really? I had the full size clicky version.

The software was infuriating. My lights would routinely stop working.

I was using it mostly in summer, and I found the ABS keycaps absolutely awful.

      I’m patiently awaiting a USB-C PBT version

      • To be fair, I have the lighting turned off so I can't comment on the reliability there.

I personally love the keycaps, but I guess everyone has different preferences.

Yep, would have definitely liked it to be USB-C… That is the one issue I have with it.

      • +1

I got keycap fading. Logged a warranty claim but they said they don't ship individual key: and they do not have replacement in stock have been waiting for few months now.

        • +3

I have this aswell! The key paint or whatever has faded and have been told for months they have no replacements in stock.. I think its BS since they are selling them on the website.

          • @gogo1234: Selling them = make money, replacing them = lose money. That's how they roll!

What else we can do as a consumer? I will just make sure I do not buy any more logitech product.

  • +3

We live in times when peripherals cost as much as CPUs and GPUs can cost more than whole builds… What a time to be alive! The stories I can tell my VR addicted grand kids will be glorious!!

  • I love my $239 one. Go get this if you are looking for a new KB.

Logitechs Romer switches were rough to put me off their keyboards forever. They were so bad.

    • +1

Are these on Orion spectrum? I'm getting double clicks and unregistered clicks so often on many keys

      So damn annoying

      • +1

I RMA'd the orion for that very reason and got the G915 TKL as a replacement (only after weeks of out of stock and trying to offer me cheaper variants, I cracked it and got offered this and thought $350 on your website I'll take it) i did miss the number pad for a while but have become used to it.

The orion spark and the spectrum I had previously would perform really bad when the aircon was on and it was hot and humid for extneded periods, corrosion on the terminals a possibility according to a google search. A temporary fix that worked for me, (albeit sounds a tad risky but I had a replacement on the way so thought it cant get any worse) with the keyboard plugged in pour some isopropyl alcohol over the effected key and just mash it until it registered one keypress I worked for all but the number 4 key for me.

If its still under warranty then contact them for a replacement its a known issue.

        • Unfortunately I bought it in 2017 lol

I'm looking at the Varmilo keyboards, they look good

  • +2

Have had one of these for about 6 months (same switches). Best keyboard I've owned. Equally good for work and play. Very long battery life. Solid build.

  • I use this. The Mrs wants a Pop. Waiting for the mint one to drop to a good price.

  • +1

I work in IT, been working from home for over 1 year now. Can definitely recommend this keyboard - as I use it heavily.

Worth IMO. A GOOD keyboard (is obviously) essential for computer use. This keyboard hasn't caused any headaches.

    Love the sound and feel.

  • +2

Why is always the black one on sale but not the white one

    • Cuz ppl prefer white.

    • My guess is they sell a lot less of the white, so they make way less so there is less supply. And people who want white specifically are probably in general more specific/picky about what they want (trying to match their all-white aesthetic) and more likely to be willing to pay full price. (Ie. What I mean is there are probably a higher proportion of those buying white that are buying white specifically and willing to pay full price for it).

Makes sense to sell the more widely produced black ones to those people (like myself) who don't care about the colour.

Sucks for those who want white, unfortunately! Sorry!

So the color must be Neutral ?

  • Fantastic deal, although I'd suggest trying in a store first.

I grabbed one sight unseen of the linear model, and ended up returning it because the keys felt so different with the shorter travel distance. And for the cost I didn't want to risk not getting used to them.

  • Lol the keychron Q1 for $169 is a so much better keyboard

  • -1

Good keyboard but no numpad is a deal breaker. I'll stick to the G613 and save $100.

  • +1

Have owned a few mechanical Logitech G boards, the Romer G switches are terrible. They feel mushy and unsatisfying. I have the 'tactile' switches in my G613, and they feel so linear I don't even notice any bump. Plus, on my G810 and G613, I get key chatter, which is really annoying.

    • +1

Seconded. Romer G's on my old G810 were bearable at first, but then they just became so mushy over time. Mine also developed key chatter too.

Haven't really bothered with Logitech keyboards since then.

      • -1

Should be able to build a half decent custom board for $200 all up. Will sound, feel and look much better than this IMO. Not for everyone, but if you're looking for a more satisfying typing experience, this is the way to go.

  • +1

Have one of these. Not very impressed though. Software is a train wreck sadly.

p.s. - almost all of my accessories are logitech. so the above comment is not for hating, but just feedback.

    • G hub is fine for all of my peripherals, not sure what issues you're having. I even use a yeti x and a 922 webcam which are compatible.

      • +1

drivers itself are fine. its the lighting profiles, community section where you explore and share profiles, windows key disable sometimes doesnt work while gaming etc..

    • Yeah I have a complete logitech set, keyboard, mouse, headphones, power mat, ect and the logitech software is the worst part of it

  • +1

Cheers, finally bit the bullet, after waiting for Keychron to make the keyboard I wanted (basically the K8 Pro with a volume knob OR a wireless Q3).

Cheapest ever on the tactile? (I believe the linear was $189 once)

  • +1

If this took standard AAA batteries than I'd buy it in a heartbeat. Not interested in a proprietary battery which will die after a few years usage.
I use the G604 light speed mouse and that just takes a single AA battery and lasts months. Please do the same thing for your gaming keyboards Logitech :(

    • Check "Thermaltake Gaming W1 Wireless Gaming Keyboard" - it runs on AA batteries, looks almost identical to Logitech G613 and they claim quite long battery life too.
I would not trust Logitech mechanical switches after seeing so many complaints of failures.

  • +3

Seems to be back at $265… I was just about to order after having an internal battle on the fact that it's Micro USB instead of USB-C.

    I'm definitely a man that loves a good C port…

  • I really like this keyboard but i think the RRP is beyond ridiculous and $200 feels much more accurate. My spacebar key has kind of started peeling on the edge (it feels sharp). And I hate that they put the numbers and punctuations above their shift-key alternates. Anywy, it's great if you switch between computers with the bluetooth/dongle button

  • +1

The deal is over. Back to 266. I was a bit late

  • Yup. Price has gone up, deal is off.

  • (profanity) sake

  • this vs MX Keys Advanced? I have the K800 atm, a couple of the number keys on the side have stopped working (7 and 9…seems to be common fault) but otherwise is still very good, after at least 3 years use. I need one with backlight as I can't see the keys well in some lighting situations. Just want to know another keyboard that will be good to replace this if it has any further issues in the future.

    • are you after a mechanical keyboard?

      • I don't care, as long as it isn't loud and easy to use, with backlighting

        • +1

the g915 will be loud compared to a membrane keyboard even if you got the linear/red switch version

          • +1

@tdw: ok, thanks. I haven't looked at either in store to see, just thought I would ask

  • Bought this keyboard from Best Buy in the US for 80 USD just last week. So glad I bought this!
Although, found the caps lock and shift button to get in the way. Otherwise very nice mechanical keyboard.

  • +1

Seriously I don't think I'd recommend these to anyone.. The keyboard itself is great but they use slim mechanical switches that have the WORST mounting method for keycaps.

The number of people who have had their keycaps pop off or the stubs break off and other issues, all relating to the keycap mounting being just horrid.

Seriously just stay away, you might be okay with them for a while, but eventually these are going to be a point of failure before ANYTHING else for pretty much everyone.

Its just a matter of when.

There is a reason why no other good or even decent keyboard uses these slimline kailh switches.

    • Aren't these issues covered under warranty?

  • Next day delivery - nice! (This must be my first Amazon delivery with Prime)

KB feels nice. Numbers/punctuation above the secondary functions is going to take some getting used to!

Slight upgrade from what I've been using:
    https://www.amazon.com.au/MICROSOFT-Wireless-Media-Keyboard-…

I think I paid $9 for that keyboard (part of those crazy MS cashback deals!)…$9 kb to $200 kb - lol
