Was checking out rewards for doweyy's 10,000 point deal and noticed that the Belong $80 Starter Packs were down from 10,000 points to 2,000 points again. Same as previous deal. Thanks to bozbargain:

$100 is enough for either 4 monthly cycles of the $25 plan (20GB/month) or a mix of eg 1 month at $25 (20GB) and then 5 months of $15 (3GB/month). Data rolls over so you can start on a $25 plan, downgrade to $15 and still keep the left over data for subsequent months. You have to activate on the $25 plan (as a minimum) to start off with, then you can move down to $15 (the $15 one isn't available for your first month).

Ends 6 Jun or when sold out.

      Not a rumour, they were gonna change mine at end of April so I sold off all my data balance and moved to catch. You might as well activate and sell the data after two months, prob like $50 worth

          Yup, you can sell your unused data if you’re a Belong user. See classifieds and you can see a lot of ppl selling their data through data transferring

        Any experience whether that is enforced? I wondered if they actually set expiry dates on sims as they are purchased, and without actually writing the specific expiry date anywhere.

          When you go through the checkout at Coles for example, the operator scans something on the pack which must register it with Belong that it's been purchased.

          Not sure if it's enforced.

          It is enforced as I recently tossed a few Telstra $2 SIMs and a few Boost $2 SIMs away (expired). I don't have the guts to try Belong ones yet (i.e. let them expire) as those are not $2 ones.

            I signed up nbn back in November and didn't activate the sim. Last month I checked the sim package and it said expiry 31/12/2021 so I threw it in the bin :(

              @RTY: It will expire as per the date mentioned on SIM. However, you need to contact Belong support & submit the proof of purchase (in your case, November) & they will reactivate it again for you to use.

      You don't redeem for phones (unless there is some crazy special). There was a deal where you basically need to setup direct debit and you get enough points to exchange for a pair of Galaxy Buds.

      Tel$tra's most recent $699 for iPhone 11 deal was okay (can use it to price match at OfficeWorks).

      This is a starter pack, it's not a recharge voucher. You could port out to Kogan 60GB 90 days if you don't mind the Voda network.

      You'll need to use a different email when porting back to Belong if you want the $20 referral credit.

      Yeah you need to port out for a month, then you can port back to Belong.

      Something like a Kogan Mobile $1 / $2.90 for a 1 month plan, then port back in to Belong after a month with your next starter kit.

          YHA ($35/n Backpackers) just off Hastings St, 5min walk to beach @Noosa Heads. Listed 100 year old wooden guest house in some forest.

          Enjoyed it & made an effective profit on week stay in Noosa Heads! And travelled almost free.

              @nrodg11: The Nomads Noosa Youth Resort is the one with the bad reputation.

              Up the hill at Noosa Junction.
              They are cramming in a lot of long termers working in local tourist industry. So many there! Its a real mess in rooms. As shown on TV reports!
              People escaped there to relax on the huge wooden verandahs of the YHA!

              YHA doesn't take long term stays (usually 14d max). Its for genuine travellers. So few there. Set in a listed historic building, it's not a party place. Not even a bar now. And much closer to beach.
              Suited me - as an experienced traveller.
              Found it great. Clean, great staff.

      Not initially. Start on the $25 then move down to $15 for subsequent months.

      You have to activate on the $25 plan (as a minimum) to start off with, then you can move down to $15 (the $15 one isn't available for your first month).

      Firstly to join Telstra plus you need a telstra service, I'm not sure if one needs a Telstra service to keep Telstra plus active/alive as I've always had some sort of Telstra service and they have been Telstra prepaid services,

      Maybe you could buy a Telstra $2 starter prepaid pack to start of Telstra plus but you'll be starting from zero points, but they gave me 10,000 points last month supposedly for a bad service of some sort

      It's not targeted, but you need Telstra plus with at least 2,000 points to buy this 2,000 points offer Belong $80 starter pack

      Plenty on eBay usually discounted fairly

      As you suggest: 500GB for $70/mth (+ next 2 months at 20GB for $15/mth if activating with Referral). And gift data to Belong phone SIM set up for 6mth with Referral. Hope that works.

          I'd yet to activate a data plan, so I just went through the motions to see what I'd get. Sure enough, no option to enter a referral code. I then went rummaging through the Belong web site, but it was only when logged in that I found this….

          Limits on introductions
          You can’t invite friends on a Belong data plan
          It’s only for customers on a standard Belong mobile or internet service.

        Unless you've picked up some more referrals along the way, after six months you'll have exhausted the credit and will need to stump up $15 per month if you want to keep using it.

    I think Belong is now trying to stop data buying/selling. I sent some data to my son this morning and a message popped up that this transferred data will expire when the recipient's renewal date comes up.
    So if I was to buy 50GB from someone, any unused data from that 50GB will expire at my monthly plan renewal.
    Anyone else experienced that?

          Here is the policy,
          "Unlimited data banking comes with all of our mobile plans, but is not available for our data plans where data expires at the end of each billing period.
          For mobile plans, you can roll over and keep your unused data, including any bonus or gifted data in your data bank each month as long as you pay on time.
          Things you should know: You'll lose all your banked data when payment is more than 25 days overdue or if you cancel your Belong mobile service."

            @Maq: So as long as your on a data plan and gift to a mobile plan you can retain the data. Just doesn't work when gifting data plan to data plan it just expires at end of month. That's my understanding. So the above method of gifting data plans and building up to 2tb of data should work
