Roborock S7 MaxV Ultra Robot Vacuum and Mop Cleaner $2374.24 (Was $2698) Delivered @ Mobileciti

HAPPY23

Original Coupon Deal

Cheapest price I've seen since release of the vacuum. Original RRP is $2,698.

You can order directly from Roborock getting $100 off the S7 MaxV unit using code "ORDER" for $1,498 after discount. + Order the Ultra dock separately, for a total of $2,597.

Other retailers such as BingLee are also stocking the unit itself for $1,499 or the combined dock and unit for $2,699 so you could wait for EOFY sales or specialty discounts.

But I'm not sure if the discount will amount to 12% which mobileciti are offering.

No extended warranty insurance from Mobileciti but I paid with a credit card that offers extended warranty insurance.

I think it's a good deal for those who have been holding out for this unit. Enjoy!

Edit: Refer to comments section - there appears to be ways to get this from China at a significant discount, so if that takes your fancy please explore those avenues! I'm happy for aus warranty/purchase & immediate use.

I think the price of this one has got to the yeh nah stage.

    • +2

Wheres all the "Great bargain. Bought 5 for my 10-bedroom mansion" comments??

      • +31

Great bargain. Bought 10 for my 5-bedroom mansion.

        • "Okay, i'll just do the Succ myself"

  • +18

I'm sorry, but this is just ludicrous now.

  • +13

The price of this makes jesus cry. It's a vacuum. Have the S5 Max and it's good, purchased for sub $500 but $2,000+ for a vacuum? Wow.

    • Jesus strikes me more as one of those manual push carpet sweepers of the 1960s. Mind you, his church is certainly full of suckers.

  • +45

It had better suck more than my carpet

    • +19

      It mops too, yes.

      • +2

How wet will this make me?

        • +3

          Only slightly moist

    • +15

      Sucks your wallet dry too.

    • -2

What happened to sucky sucky $5? This is like almost 475 sucky sucky's 😅

  • +18

This model is about 4,700RMB in China, which is equivalent to $1,000AUD…
Aus support + warranty really worth a more than a double? hmm…

    • +4

It is more expensive on Aliexpress. How do you buy it from China otherwise?

      • find any Chinese, who can help you.

        • +3

the app doesnt work for CN version

          • +1

@godjian: simply change your region in account settings.

            • +2

@mrgeckoz: tried tons of ways to make it work. have changed the region and timezone but still cant use the app. the method on russia website 'kapiba' used to work for a while

      • +5

Use a shopping assistant site like superbuys. been using them for 4-5 years now. you can ask them to buy anything on chinese site for you and ship it over. i usually use their shipping consolidating service when buying lots of stuff on Taobao and ship it over via sea freight.

    • +3

this is the pro version it is about ï¿¥6000 in China

      • +2

Doing the same calc and this au price really amazes me…

    • Actually yeah I would pay more than double for aus standard and warranty over china you're right..

  • +1

I thought Dyson was already expensive enough.

    • Wait till they decide to bring out a robo vac

  • +2

Where are my LOL emoji's when I need them…?
    🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

    Oh, there they are!

I paid with a credit card

Suckers are born every day. I knew Roborock would lure in a good number of people (with more money than sense) to actually pay for this overpriced nonsense, but to openly admit this? smh

I think it's a good deal for those who have been holding out for this unit.

No. No, it's not a good deal. Not in any reality.

    Word to the wise:

Check those reviews twice. Roborock has inserted the reviews for the S7 (released a year ago) not the S7MaxV. Dodgy AF.

  • +18

You could probably pay a cleaner to come vacuum and mop each week for longer than this thing would last.

    • +17

I’m guessing you don’t know what the going rate of cleaners is these days

    • -3

I clean you very long time at this price

    • +3

If you can get a cleaner for $50 per hour to vacuum and mop your floors that'd get you:

54 hours (if you short change them $2 at some point)

That's almost a a year of cleaning one hour a week.

If you have kids, pets, wear your shoes indoors, have self decency you'd probably want to clean your floors more often than that, ey?

    • +1

Mine does a 5 minute vacuum in the kitchen everyday - what's cleaner's minimum fee?

And how long do good cleaners last, anyway? Overhead of finding new decent ones, security concerns giving house access,…

  • +4

I got my s50 for $375 about 5 years ago which is 15% of this. It’s ridiculous.

  • +1

Yeh nah got one directly from China for around 1k. Double the price? Don’t fool me sir

    • From what site?

    • +2

Mate I'm looking via china too. I can see $1200 for the smaxV only. Can you share link for where you got yours?

The Aussie stores are really taking the piss.

Have an s5 I bought 4yrs ago but she's clunking out.

      • +1

I don’t know Chinese so I asked my friend to help me do the research. Apparently there is this 618 sales event going on in China atm. Think this model is basically the same as either G10s or G10s Pro in China (Probably G10s since this dock does not have mob drying unit like G10s Pro). You can check the link here if you know Chinese (https://m.tb.cn/h.fGhbnmU?tk=SM492mD8wzy). Just asked my mate to provide me. He said there are some tricks to get few hundreds RMB off from the platform which I don’t know how. And you just need to deal with delivery.

      • You can buy it without the dock I think. That's probably where it comes from.

    • +1

Chinese model won't work in Australia. They are generally geoblocked and need to euro model imported instead

      • Just use a Chinese phone number to unlock and set up VPN for it.

        • That won't work. App just knows and bricks the thing outside of China

      • +4

        sounds discriminatory

    • I'm curious, would one purchased in China work the exact same way with the app in Australia? Will it be fully in English and potentially work with the Aussie Xiaomi Server or does it need to be set to the China server?

If the functionality, language, app etc is identical between China bought and Aussie bought versions then I might seriously consider it for that huge price difference. However if there are limitations with any of them then that needs to be considered.

      • It won't work no matter what region you set or if you use a VPN it will be blocked. It's been the same for all Chinese ones with a hack for them no longer working 100% which was using bluestacks or a Chinese sim, some model had modded fw to install. European models are the same buy which work exactly the same as Australian

        • Hmm I haven’t received mine but my friend has it working perfectly fine. Don’t just simply use VPN. If you have friends in China that could provide their IP address, guide them to setup n2n in their router. Then setup DDNS + SS in your router from this end and use that n2n as a proxy. This way you can have a stable IP address. The issue with the easily accessible VPN is they can just block you easily.

This vac can suck ghost, pretty sure I've seen it ghost buster movie

  • That price just made me cry hard

  • +2

At this price I would expect 10 year warranty.

  • +1

I like how it has the ability to do video calls (with built in cyber security) and also detect poo as an obstacle.

    • It may detect my poopoo but will it detect my weewee?

      • You're looking for the "Prayer Room" model.

    • +1

Literally everything our intern struggles with.

    • This would be such a useful feature for Amber Turd.

  • 👀👀👀

  • That price is bonkers.
    I’m happy keeping my S6.
Just recently changed the laser turret motor on it and it’s humming along again.

  • +3

Vacuum wars has been giving this model a pretty good rap.. prob just a bit better than the equivalent deebot/ecovacs model.

    • you should buy it

      • If I didn’t already have a robot vacuum/mop from a year or so ago I probably would. I got the ecovacs t8 aivi back when it was the latest. This round they seem to be a lot more capable. I think roborock mapping is a bit more capable than ecovacs (which Ive found pretty buggy)

  • This or S6 MaxV which I saw recently for about $700

    • Do you want mopping? If so get this, if not get s6 max

      • Have had the S5 max since the launch. Gave it my parents as I was looking for upgrade. S5 max mopped around just fine for me. What does the s6 max lack in comparison to this, if I don't care about the docks.

        • Better mopping, and that's it

        • +1

The S6 MaxV doesn't have self emptying, and water replenishment like this one has. Depends whether it's worth an extra $1500 to you or not. I've just bought the S6 MaxV so looking forward to see how it performs.

  • crazy vacuum price, even more crazy vat price.

  • -1

    HOW MUCH????

  • I still have an S5 going strong. Does this one make you coffee or something?

  • Can i use it as an electric scooter and go to work? I can only justify the price if it does that too.
By doing that i can save money on fuel, keep my city clean, may be ill invoice the council too for cleaning and make some money.

  • +1

Comparing this to their S10S Pro in China, this price is crazy.

  • Saw the youtube review after I just setup my Viomi Alpha S9 UV.. Had buyer remorse till I saw the price of this one haha
The S7 MaxV Ultra vacuums better, has better item & carpet detection, less hair tangling, auto-cleans the mop etc. Pretty much top of the range
The only cons is the price.. which is 5x what I paid for the Viomi

    • +1

My Viomi S9 is still rocking around my house after a year each day going about his daily duties. We have a large house and he's ageing and needs to go home from time to time and recharge and empty his bin, with an awesome self emptying bin. His map gets better and he doesn't miss anything. I call him weavel. I tell my wife he's just under me and our dog in the pecking order. She doesn't complain. She hasn't vacuumed our house in a year and now moves out of his way. As is the pecking order way.

      • Mine won't auto empty any more :( wondering if i should refund

  • +4

More money than sense if anyone buys this, happy to pay 600$ for one of these but at that price it better also suck something else..

    • +1

      Associated?

  • Anyone has any feedback of S7+? Is it worth $1700?

  • World going crazy or what?

  • Am I overpaid enough to buy this?

  • It'd want to do more than just clean the floors for this kind of coin, if you catch my drift 😅

    • I've been using mine for a few weeks now. 'll give you a review of it's abilities later.

  • +3

For this price, I suddenly deeply enjoy vacuuming.

  • +2

pretty positive reviews everywhere I saw so I'm kind of set in buying one. What I didn't understand is how buying the dock separately (so you have 2 docks) seems cheaper than buying this Max V Ultra version? interesting pricing strategies

Even Aliexpress sellers know they can get away with charging over 2k pre GST for that so I don't think there is substantial gains importing.

    • Not cheaper at this discounted rate though

  • +3

Just gonna say that the two biggest features nobody really needs on a robo vac are auto empty station and auto water refill.
Both of these things take you 30 seconds to do yourself and, once you're regularly cleaning a house that isn't a disaster, only need to occur once per cleaning cycle. Like…get up and empty a plastic container. You don't need another device to do this for you and definitely don't need to spend another $1000 for the privilege of a robot to do it.

    • Yeah, I didn't bother with the docks. Prefer to empty a small transparent container so I can rescue diamonds and other valuable stuff that may have been sucked up.

      • +1

If you're concerned it's picking up diamonds from your floors, I now understand the kind of person who can afford this type of vacuum.

    • +14

Something that many people don’t think about with home automation is who it benefits.

Things like these offer a huge increase to quality of life for the approximately 3.1 million Australians over the age of 70, and the 2.6% of Australians over 5 with a severe physical handicap (1 in 5 Australians have a disability, but that isn’t only physical).*

So no, both of these things do NOT take everyone 30 seconds to do themselves.

      • Those were Google-stats, so may not be accurate or current. But just there to try to highlight that technology like this shouldn’t be universally scoffed at.
      • -6

So when the base stations have to be emptied/resupplied, the person with the physical disability who can't empty a robot, isn't going to empty a base station either. This is not an argument. These automations are purely there to waste money.

        • +3

I think its each to their own.

For me the automation saves time/having to worry about emptying a robot vacuum every 30 minutes (or whatever timeframe). I note the Ultra dock also 'washes' the mop too/rewets it between runs, which is handy if you have a larger floor space.

I hope whoever is buying this recognises they are paying a premium for convenience. I think its worth it to be able to 'set and forget' (at least to a greater extent than I would without a dock) and prefer my time for other things. You are entitled to your judgement call on what you value as waste, as will others who have paid for this.

          • @rhazz: it’s not any more convenient. it’s just another way of doing it. you still need to service the base station. Now you have both the robot and the base station to service. More convenient ?

            • @OzComment: Less frequent. With an old school robot you’d ru the vac cycle, empty the dust bin, fill and attach the mop attachment run the mop cycle on non carpet areas, remove the mop attachment, empty the water and wash/replace the mop pad. Most people with robot vacs will run them at least twice a week, maybe once a day. So that’s a routine you have to remember do several times a week, when the point of buying the thing at least for some people was not to have to think about vacuuming.

By contrast the robot will do mopping and vacuuming in one cycle (it can lift the mob for carpeted areas), it’ll empt the internal dust compartment itself, wash its own mop and refill the water. So all you have to do is empty the dust bag once every one and a half months and top up the water when it alerts you. That’s your only interaction with vacuuming. So as a device that’s meant to take over the job for you it’s more successful.

        • +6

The person who can’t empty a robot is going to hire someone/ask someone to come around and empty the bin. Once per clean vs once per 6 weeks makes a HUGE difference to someone’s sense of independence.

    • +2

Auto empty station is definitely good even if you are physically capable of emptying it. You often just forget to empty the dustbin every day because there is more important things to worry about. Also my Deebot T9+ will auto empty the dustbin in between rooms, handy with the log fire that creates a ton of mess bringing wood in and loading the fire.

    • +1

I've got two dogs, one being a German shepherd so there is constantly a flow of tumbleweed of various levels through my house.
My existing robo is full pretty quickly and while I have no issues emptying it when I'm home, if I leave it on when I go to work (which is the main benefit of a robot right?) it can't run all day because it's full. Being able to self empty means I can get 12+ hours cleaning from it instead of 2 when I'm not around.

  • +1

reckon this thing might have a better power to weight ratio than my shitbox mazda.. might even be able to tow more

  • Great post op. Can I attach a steering wheel to this? It costs a bit more than the car I own. I'm looking to upgrade.

  • +1

Almost as expensive as a disposable corolla

  • +2

Waaaaaayyyyyy overpriced. Instead of this, Just go ahead and buy yourself a dirt cheap vacuum, like the $1549 V15 by Dyson.

  • +4

    Makes Dyson look cheap
