While the RRP is not really a deal, the cat is out of the bag thanks to a bonus trade-in coupon of $250 at JB Hi-Fi starting on Thursday at 7am. (Get a trade-in valuation of $10 or more to qualify for the bonus coupon.)

This brings the price down to $499. Final figure may vary depending on the value of your trade in etc.
One would expect pre orders will also open around this time.

          It's only $75 discount. Would have sweetened the deal but not a deal breaker if you're keen on the phone and can get a good trade in deal.

          I've got a pixel 3 and can get $300 trade in total which is way more than it's worth on the marketplace.

      Yes, got it yesterday morning and picked it up in the afternoon. Sales guy tried too hard to upsell accessories and extended mobile insurance/warranty.

    Lets see if they are willing to price match Telstra today.
    On another note, looking back, i managed to pick up Pixel 3XL almost 3 years ago with this bargain:

      If you mean, price match Telstra and then apply the $250 coupon to bring it to $399 before paying with giftcards? Please let us know if you are successful. I may reconsider if that's doable. I also got my P3 from that deal 3 years ago - great phone until the battery life became so bad.

        I know someone earlier in the comments had success, but I tried doing this and they wouldn't match.
        They quoted the Telstra terms as the reason for not matching, which makes sense.
        They were very aware of the deal, I guess a number of others had been there before me and asked them the same thing!

      They have your license info from the application process. You can look forward to a call from debt collectors and maybe a mark on your credit rating perhaps?

    Anyone completed the full transaction?

    I went to auspost today and they told me that they do not provide packaging.

    I am super annoyed because I was worried about this and even emailed square trade today to confirm before going in.

    They told me to take my devices and printed forms and then auspost would provide me with packaging.

    Went in to auspost and looked like an idiot -_-

    Whats the consequence for not mailing the phones in? Will I lose my trade credit alone, or the trade credit and bonus $250?

      reading the comments from before they will debit the trade in credit value of your phone but not the $250 bonus as that is a code. But that's what someone earlier on said happened to them in the last trade in deal and they didn't send it in.

    Got "$350" for my Moto Edge 20 Fusion which I paid $325 last year.

    Selling for around $330 on eBay before fees.

    I'm happy with that.

    Has any one had JB disagree with their trade in condition? My 4a charging port is a bit hit and miss. If it doesn't charge immediately, I unplug and turn the cable over, plug in and it charges normally. Wondering if they might call this a "faulty" charging port which drops my trade in value from $80 to $0.
    If you have had them disagree, did they charge your C/card the trade in value only or the $250 coupon value as well?

      I just sent them an email in relation to my phone I wanted to trade.

      Old man has been using it and he cracked the screen (bottom corner) and I didnt realise. They said 2 options, cancel trade in (and pay for both the trade in cost + gift voucher) or send in and they will let me know the price.

      So looks as though they may be cracking down on people who dont comply this time.
