  • I'm sure I had a first choice deal I activated in the app the other day (1200 bonus points on $50 spend), but when I activated it, it disappeared. I had the same deal that was finishing that day, or the next as well (already activated) and not unusual for them to offer another one as one expires….so, not sure what happened to the new deal.

    Bought but yet to receive CR email. Anyone else received CR email yet?

    • I haven't received a "tracked" email as yet but it is showing in click history. Slower than usual, but it is Sunday, so I'm just giving it more time.

    28 Degrees have rebate of $5 when spending $50 which can stack as well.

      • Do you have a 28 degrees mastercard? if not, you wont be able to use this.
        If you do, you should have received email recently with "get $350 cashback when you spend at Luxico" in the subject with body that contains other deals including the one for First Choice.
        Pay with your 28 degrees MC at checkout. (Not indirectly through PayPal)

      Didn't track. Again. It's so random as to what does track and what doesn't. I get annoyed by it, but my OCD bargain hunter always ends up coming back.

      Set a reminder for a week. Again. To get a few pennies off some booze. Again.

      Maybe tomorrow. Cashrewards living rent free in my head (well, cheap rent).

          I hate trawling for bargains on my phone - much prefer my desktop. But it might be the way to go.

      Mine hasn't tracked yet, which is unusual as I used the app. The clickthru registered, so I'm guessing it'll be rectified tomorrow. Otherwise I'll be pestering old mate TA.

  • Oh boy, I just saw in my emails that my purchase was tracked by ShopBack. I clicked through Cashrewards and took screenshots showing it activated at 18%, it also shows in Cashrewards click history. I do have the Shopback notifier but didn't activate it and it never showed "activated". It DOESN'T show in ShopBack click history.
    I followed all my usual steps, clear cookies and history, no adblocker, clicked through Cashrewards and didn't leave the page until the transaction was completed.
    A BIG difference in cashback, has anyone else ever had this happen?

    • I ordered one but am waiting for the cashback to be tracked before I pick it up, if not tracked I might cancel it. Also looked at the RWT but no stock in NSW.

  • Just purchased using the app because sfa tracks through the website these days. I'm hoping it tracks or I will be emailing them and asking why nothing tracks! I seriously think it's a way for them to take longer for you to receive the money because they can take their sweet ass time "investigating" as they like to put it.

    Pretty sure it will track soon and not losing much sleep over it. Normally it tracks in a jiffy, I noticed that sometimes on weekends esp on Sundays there are delays and I am sure our mate @tightarse is already on the job sorting it out.

      i wouldnt worry, ive had some merchants take 2-3 days to track, admittedly CR is faster than SB, First Choice is also usually quick

    Hi guys, and apologies for not responding here earlier. As always, I want to be as transparent as possible.

    We've (Cashrewards) been all over this with Coles Liquor and the affiliate network since last night after I noticed a number of FCL sales weren't reporting to us as they should. A lot got through, but a lot didn't. We've now just heard back from Coles Liquor and they've confirmed they can see the sales at their end. Issue is that the affiliate network that pushes these transactions through to our members can't see all of them, and we're/they're not sure why. We're obviously hoping this can be fixed by them ASAP without the need for us to do a mail-out, and I promise to keep you posted here as I know more.

    For those of you that have cancelled orders because of this, I honestly can't blame you (I probably would have done the same thing in frustration). Please know we're doing all we can to get this right, and we've even paused FCL on Cashrewards for now. In the meantime, please have a wonderful afternoon. Thank you :)

    Thanks for the update TA. I understand the tracking issues you can have with merchants.

    I suggest not collecting your order just yet as per TA's advice as well, in case we're going to need to submit claims as then we're at the mercy of the store. Let's just wait for his update. These offers come around often enough so you can always jump on another at a later stage.

      If it tracked via CR and you have a screen shot showing you purchased within the CR app environment, then IMO CR is liable to pay you out regardless of any backend issues, even if you have to submit a claim.

      CR advertised the promotion, CR promo page led to First Choice website to make your purchase etc - your decision to purchase was heavily influenced by CR and if you as a consumer did everything right as per T&C's the backend machinations are not your concern - or an excuse to not pay out.

      Personally I have never had issue with CR or Shopback but time and time again I see people on here complaining about not getting tracked, not paying out etc - it should not happen.

  • No tracking for me either, but I picked my order up this morning. I'll just assume it'll be honoured or I'll be back in every thread (like Boost Mobile) sharing my experience.

    Suggesting people pause picking up/cancelling orders is not a solution. Whilst I appreciate things go wrong and Coles Liquor are antiquated turds. Click throughs are an agreement and should be honoured.

      Another update as promised. Coles and the affiliate network (Rakuten) are still trying to find the root cause and hopefully backward engineer a solution to track these sales to members. They have the data, but it's 'broken' and the issue is matching clicks with orders etc. It's a little complicated for me to go into the mechanics here, but please know this is a major priority for them/us. Again, thank you for your patience and will again update you as I know more.

        As is the case with others, I too made a substantial purchase….times are particularly tough at present for many of us and the purchase decision was made with the 18% uncapped cashback factored in.

        As per my comment above CR has never failed me but these developments are concerning - frankly using words like "hopefully" does not help and I am not concerned with any backend issues, just the fact that CR is effectively the vendor here.

        If it comes to initiating a claim in 7 days, surely a confirmed click timestamp from CR, coupled with screen shot showing the purchase was clearly made within the CR app environment, coupled again with an invoice with timestamp etc solves the "issue (of) matching clicks with orders" and "a solution to track these sales to members"?

          Hi, and thanks for taking the time to comment. I’ve been eating and breathing this issue for 4 straight days, and quite frankly it’s killing me. We’ve (I’ve) been on a number of zoom calls and countless emails with Rakuten in the UK and Coles here in Sydney since Sunday to try and resolve this (the time difference makes it extremely challenging). Please, have faith. Worst case I’ll tell you if and when to submit a claim, but I’m hoping it won’t come to that. We’ve never let our members down and we’re not about to start now. This issue is obviously something we didn’t expect or wanted, but with tech, shit unfortunately happens at times. Please stay tuned. Thank you.

      • First choice are going to cancel my orders tommorow as I havent picked them up.
        Is there any issue in picking them up in terms of getting the cashback happening as without the cashback some of the items are cheaper when on conventional regular sales

    This is the second time in a row my FCL order hasn't tracked. Have just tried to submit a claim for the prior order (back in July) and it keeps failing to submit. I get a message telling me to contact the member support services, but this keeps taking me in circles back to the Submit a Claim function which will not connect. Any suggestions on how I can fix this? I am expecting to have to lodge a claim for this recent order as well given the above.

    • I had the same issue using my desktop computer. I contacted CR support and was advised to use the app (iOS). Submitted with no issues. However cannot do it on my PC.

      Yes, the team is aware of the error when attempting to submit a claim via your Click History using a browser. Hopefully this will be sorted soon. In the meantime, please submit the claim via the CR mobile app. Any issues, just let me know :)

          My response was regarding stang65's July transaction. The option to submit a claim only shows up after 7 full days have passed. Please do not submit any claims yet for this promo until I provide an update (as advised in my previous comments). Thanks.

    Still hasn't tracked. Another week of waiting, setting a reminder and wondering why I bother!

    I know tracking can be an issue, but the week delay on submitting a claim is incredibly annoying.

      Thanks for confirming. Yes, Coles came up with a fix overnight which should hopefully have most, if not all missing transactions in member accounts at some stage today. Thanks for your patience.

    Hi and thanks for your patience everyone. Happy to report that Coles & Rakuten have fixed the bulk of FCL transactions overnight and they should now be in your CR accounts. If any were missed, please lodge a claim via your click history from Monday onwards and the team will take care of it. Glad this is over - been a hectic week :)

    Had to submit a claim and considering the spend of 910 dollars was certainly keen to get the cashback tracked….response from CR says 'Our team has not received any information from the store regarding this purchase……' but they are looking into it anyway…..fingers crossed now!
