    The website states - “ You have 90 days - from the booking date on Klook - to swap the Exchange Order for the actual, physical JR Pass in Japan.”

    Is this “booking date” the date I select on the availability options OR the date that I complete the purchase?

    With the Movie World one, it requires a date to select… but then it says there’s 12 months to use. Is the date just the commencement of the 12 months… or do the 5 days to use at the three places begin on the date we select? :S

      The date is just the participation date you are likely to begin your commencement of the 5 days at the parks, to just give an indication for our records. The pass is valid for 12 months!

      Likely. I learnt the hard way with the lounge sale that people click pretty quickly. When I tried again tonight, I can now confirm it's all about how fast you redeem the code on your account. The payment, etc can be performed later.
      The fastest way is probably continually refreshing the FB site (as the code is in text, as opposed to the Klook website where it's embedded in a picture), then copying the code into your Klook account and redeeming. My wife was a bit slower than me, but she still managed to click redeem after around a minute. I think you will have less time with the more popular activities.

    hi @BookWithKlook understood for the sake of fairness, one JR pass per account, do you allow to purchase 1 pass only for child ticket? normally children need to company with adult (e.g for flights). Also happy to buy 1 adult & 1 kid on one account and get discounted only for adult ticket if thats what it is

      I completely understand why they've done it. A full 20% off, on unlimited passes, across both Ordinary and Green class is huge.

      That said, this deal has been public for literally weeks now, and only a few days before the code is put live, someone at Klook got out the calculator and did the math on just how much money they'd be missing out on, so they applied a pretty restrictive slab of fine-print to the deal.

      If you're a single traveler, and only interested in Ordinary class (I assume like Mr Boohoo above ^) then the deal is still good. If however you need more than 1 pass (unless you want to create multiple Klook accounts, and play Browser Tab roulette, which in my opinion is against the spirit of the deal) then the deal is pretty limited.

      For my case (5 adult Green Class passes) the deal is literally useless, which feels like a bit of a rug-pull since I've been chatting with the Rep via DMs over the last week, and these clauses didn't exist before a couple of days ago.

        It's a lame excuse about "limited supply adjusting to the market reopening". There is no way there is a shortage of passes when you consider these can only be purchased 90 days out and travel numbers will be a drop in the ocean compared to pre-pandemic numbers.

          I'm guessing it means "there is a limited supply that we're prepared to part with at a discounted rate". It just smells like an accountant getting involved at the last minute to put the brakes on the deal.

          I went ahead and booked my 5x Green Class passes via Shopback last night. They're running a 10% cashback rate on "Special Activities" right now, which applies to the JR passes. So I ended up getting 10% cashback which isn't terrible.

      That's totally fine, the date is just for a rough 'planned' participation date, but it doesn't restrict you from going to the theme parks on different days.

      The product itself is open-dated, so as long as you redeem your pass anytime within 12 months from your date of purchase, it should be fine :)

    I have had some issues using the code to purchase the JR Pass for an upcoming trip. After adding the ticket to my cart and applying the coupon, It appeared to work, so I went through and completed the purchase. After paying, I realised I had been charged the full amount, unsure if this was a glitch or ahem user error… Speaking to customer server reps has been very confusing, they cannot retroactively apply the coupon and are unsure if they have already canceled my order so I can rebook…

    So my advice for anyone tomorrow morning is to make sure the coupon applies once you get to the checkout page! I won't be joining in as I have no idea if I have a full-price ticket or not XD

      Passes are always only available max 90 days in advance of the exchange date from any supplier, JR rules unfortunately as the exchange orders have an expiry date.

      Hi sonicentropy,

      Yep that's right, you have 90 days from purchase date currently to swap the Exchange Order for the actual JR Pass in Japan.

    Hey, i have recently purchased the JR pass on your website as an Australian citizen for late november and was wondering if i still need a temporary visitor visa to use it as i thought from 11th of october, Australians were exempt from requiring a visa to use the JR pass :)
