    Just about the JR pass, we're travelling on the 14th of Jan, was wondering if we bought the 4th of Jan pass could we redeem it on the 15th when we land. Thanks!

      Hi 9999wins,

      You'll need to swap out the Exchange Order within 90 days from the purchase date on Klook for the actual, physical JR Pass in Japan - meaning if you were to purchase it today, you would have to swap out the exchange order by the 4th of Jan. As you're landing on the 15th, we'd advise you to make your purchase on Klook after 10 days from now in order to fit within the 90 day window.

      We will have future Japan sales in the next couple of months as well, so if you're really waiting on grabbing a deal before you book your pass, please keep your eyes peeled! Otherwise we're still the cheapest in the market even without a sale, so you'll still be making a saving either way ;)

    It would be nice if there was an option for customers to request for the JR pass vouchers to be issued at a future date. Currently, when making the booking, Klook allows you to select a date of travel 3 months in advance yet they don't use that date as a issue date but instead use the current date i.e. the date that you submitted the booking. Seems a bit silly.

    Hi, I accidentally selected the incorrect date for the JR Pass. I selected the date I was going to use the JR pass instead of the date I am leaving for Japan. Is the 14 day delivery of the exchange order 14 days from purchase or 14 days before the date of departure?

        I selected 22/12 which is the day I would like to use it in Japan however will be flying out of Australia on the 18th of December. So hopefully the exchange order is sent to me before this date.

          That should totally be fine then! Our exchange orders are shipped within 14 days from when you make your booking, so it should arrive within the next two weeks - more than enough time before you head off to Japan!

    for JR pass, I only put in First Name and Last Name when entering the participant details. My passport contains middle names - will this be an issue @BookWithKlook?

      Unfortunately the name on the JR Pass exchange order must be exactly the same as it appears on your passport - in this case since you have middle names, these must also be reflected on the exchange order.

    Hi - just so I understand, if im flying out to japan on 31st october, but i dont plan to use my ass until 6 november, should i still select 31st october as my travel date?

      The departure/travel date is just a rough reference - you just need to swap out the exchange order within 90 days from the day of booking/purchase - so whether you select 31st Oct or 6 Nov won't matter too much as they'll both be within the 90-day window. We would suggest just selecting 31st Oct anyway, because it means Klook will take greater measures to get your exchange order shipped out to you ASAP (exchange orders typically take up to 14 days to arrive in your mail).

    The JR pass promo code I redeemed and added to my Klook account yesterday has disappeared when I just tried to purchase a JR pass. When I try to type the code in again, it says 'This promo code has already been redeemed. You can find it in the promo code list below', but its not in the promo code list in my account anymore.

    I realise they have been sold out now but I assumed that I had "reserved" the promo code yesterday by linking it to my Klook account, so it would still be there for use upon the promo codes selling out. First time using Klook so I wasn't aware of this :(

    Did anyone get charged credit card foreign transaction fee for their klook bookings? Just wondering if klook processes their payments outside Australia and therefore foreign transaction fees will be charged by cc

      If you book via Klook Australia then you wont, i didnt get foreign fee with my amex au. The amount is as is (not included in the total amount shown).
      I got a foreign fee when booked something from japan site using the same amex card, it shows 'comission' charged (3% for amex)

        I thought klook only has one website which is klook.com? That's what it shows me when I google klook. I'm looking into buying eurail pass and not sure if it will trigger foreign fees

          Yep i reckon the website is geo-detect, something like klook.com/en-AU or so.. unless you use vpn etc, wont attract foreign fees, at least thats my exp
