[eBay Plus] 0% Variable Fees on 3 Sales Per Month by Eligible Sellers @ eBay (Activation Required)

2780

The next round of free FVF for eBay Plus Members starting in a few days :)

Seems to be an ongoing thing now based on the terms, 3 items per month.

Based on the previous deal terms, this doesn't seem targeted an should be open to all eBay Plus members once the activation link / accept offer is active. There are no changes to the wording of the terms from the previous deal in terms of function, it seems to be an ongoing promo for eBay Plus.

When does the promotion run?

  • The promotion runs from 00:00 (AEST) on 2 October 2022 and will be available for a limited time only, for as long as advertised on the eBay.com.au site (“Promotion Period”).
  • The promotion resets every 30 days starting 2 October 2022 until the end of the Promotion Period (each referred to as a "Cycle").

What is the Promotion?

The Promotion entitles Eligible Sellers, who have activated this promotion in accordance with these terms, to 0% variable fees (which is a component of Final Value Fees as defined on eBay.com.au) on 3 sales per Cycle on Eligible Listings.

“Eligible Listings” means item listings that are:

  • newly listed on eBay.com.au during the Promotion Period (i.e. they cannot be relisted items through ‘Good ‘til Cancelled (GTC) or auto-renewal);
  • in multi-quantity or single quantity fixed price or auction format only; and
  • not listed in one of the Excluded Categories (as defined below).

The variable fees will be discounted directly from the eBay seller fees applicable to the Eligible Listings when they are sold.
This promotion only applies to the variable fees on Eligible Listings that are sold during the Promotion Period.
eBay reserves the right to cancel or change the offer at any time.

What exclusions apply?

  • Items listed in the following categories are excluded from the Promotion (“Excluded Categories”): Websites & Businesses for Sale (11759), Aircraft (63676), Boats (26429), Caravans, Motorhomes (32633), Cars (29690), Motorcycles (32073), Trucks, Commercial Vehicles (6049), Real Estate (10542), Services (316), Flights (3253), Tickets (1305), Travel (3252), Gift Cards (172009). These Excluded Categories are in addition to any listings or categories restricted by eBay's prohibited and restricted items policies.
  • The Promotion only applies to variable fees (a component of your Final Value Fees). For the avoidance of doubt, the Promotion does not apply to the $0.30 (incl GST) fixed order fee for non-store subscribers (or otherwise have registered for a tax exempt status with eBay) or $0.33 fixed order fee (incl GST) for store subscribers, fees for optional features or services (including Feature Fees), international selling fees or any other fees set out at eBay.com.au, as varied from time to time. See our help pages on Selling fees without an eBay Store, eBay Stores selling fees, eBay Stores fees for registered businesses, as applicable, for more information
  • Eligible Listings will only receive the 0% variable fees until the listing renews, whether by auto-renewal or because the listing is GTC. After this, standard eBay fees will apply.

As always, enjoy :)

      • Yes please

      • Yep need the link. I wasnt targetted last month but worked on all my accounts. Didnt show up in email or in the selling promotions

  • +1

Guys, thats the thing. There is no link. it was sent directly to my messages as part of "ebay Plus savings". Even when I hit on OPs link, the page shows up but no "activation" button.

    Finally found it :).

      • Thank you, this worked for me too.

    • how did you find it

      • The offer/link was discreetly in the monthly newsletter in my inbox

    • +1

Absolute legend! Worked for me. Thanks so much! Thanks for the PM too

    • +1

      Thanks. Works. Legend

    • +1

Didn't work for me. 'Unfortunately, this promotional offer is by invitation only.'

      • Are you ebay plus? Worked on 5 accounts, so it should work on any.

        • Yes, signed up to Ebay plus a few days ago

        • How do u get ebay plus on 5 accounts?

    • Bit confused about this one still, currently have eBay+, currently just seeing "Unfortunately, this promotional offer is by invitation only.", would that turn into a valid offer if I sign up to eBay+?

      Thanks

      • +1

That makes no sense. "currently have ebay+" then you say "would that turn into a valid offer if I sign up to eBay+?"

Regardless, you need ebay+ to activate the offer. I have no issues with multiple accounts :).

        • Crap, so sorry, I meant that I DO NOT currently have eBay+

          • @[Deactivated]: This is only available to ebay+ members. You will likely still get access if you sign up.

    • Champion

    • Legend thanks

    • Cheers buddy! 🍻

    • YOU ARE A LEGEND MY FRIEND! :)

  • +3

I'm only good at buying shit unfortunately

  • +2

Seems targeted to me. I get: "Unfortunately, this promotional offer is by invitation only. "

    • Yep, ditto. I signed up to eBay plus purely to get this offer, but no dice.

      • Hey Fappo, did you get it to work eventually? I’m also considering signing up just for the offer.

        • +1

You can ask customer service to check your account for eligibility.

I signed up last night as you get $5/month voucher and I buy some stuffs regularly anyway so likely to use it for most months of the year making the membership essentially free.

And the deal is not available to me by the way.

  • Got it, let's go lads. Time to sell some Play Doh.

  • Noob here. Sounds a good way to cash out your ebay gift card or discount coles gift card?

  • Targeted? I'm on ebay plus but the link says I'm not eligible :(

Scratch that, it works. Helps if I'm logged in to eBay!

  • OP sorry if someone has already asked this. I have like 90 listings and can't be (profanity) creating new ones for all. Am I able to just list a few popular listings under this promotion that I know will sell easily?

    • Just click Sell Similar and it's a couple of clicks and end the old ones

  • Sorry bit confused, so with the promo you only pay the listing fee, but the final value fee of 10.9% is waived right?

  • When they ran the Gumtree free FVF promos I was constantly having to contact them to get them to reimburse my 2 free listings each month. I wonder if this would be the same.

    • +1

      Nope this time is different

  • Define gift card, or services…

PlayStation cards? Google play store account ect.

    • +1

Any gift card, store card where the buyer can dispute easily (either it was delivered digitally - and no, having an e-mail showing you delivered doesn't mean you are off the hook, or even physically, where the buyer disputed you used the card before sending it to him / her).

Basically, high risk items, feeBay don't want to wave the fee.

      • So, not what I meant….

So selling gift cards is suicide hmmm,

I see people selling ps and mmo accounts on eBay.

        • +1

Most buyers are okay, but gift cards carry higher risk. I had a buyer who did a chargeback on me (without raising a dispute). I won't go into the detail on what he did exactly, but it was mean and nasty. The buyer did not even return the item and ceased all communication.

I do allow full refund (and I am willing to fund the return postage), but some buyers are @!@#@!#. That buyer didn't communicate with me at all, and did what he did after about a month.

          • @netsurfer: 🙁 oh boy, my uncle sells console accounts on eBay, how he does it's beyond me…

I tell him he will get caught one day, and is ruining the community…

He told me if shit like what you mentioned happens, he has a mobile number tied to the account and accesses it from the background to terminate the account or remove the password or something…

But where talking about digital cards, stil it's classed as a service.

  • Just like last month's so called 5 0% variable fee:

For the avoidance of doubt, the Promotion does not apply to the $0.30 (incl GST) fixed order fee for non-store subscribers (or otherwise have registered for a tax exempt status with eBay) or $0.33 fixed order fee (incl GST) for store subscribers

So, if you are a casual seller, and you have free listings, each sold item under this "promotion" (assuming the sold item is not excluded from the promotion) attracts $0.33 fee. Think of that fee as transaction fee (for feeBay to take care of credit card or PayPal charges).

    • ..which they don't refund even when you the seller, have to refund the buyer due to an eBay error - happened to me today.
      Because they are rubbish

      • +3

Paypal is worst, they keep their 2.9% fee from the seller even after a full refund!

  • +1

Does it take time for new ebay plus members to be able to activate? Just joined and paid but getting ‘invitation only’ error.

    • same with me

      • Did either of you manage to get this resolved? Because I’m considering signing up for a month just to use the offer.

        • not yet, maybe only active members as of time it went up were automatically given access or something.
May need to wait until next month if that is the case

        • Same for me, I contacted the customer service, the person was not able to explain why, he said just to wait few days…. disappointing

          • @Maxwell79: At least they told you to wait lol, mine said you are just not eligible - you'll get invitation to be eligible.

            • @tajid: @tajid I believe that simply the have no idea and they answer to wait to close the conversation at the soonest…. in any case, checked now, nothing.

    • I clicked the link without ebayplus, denied, signed up for 1month ebay+, immediately tried link again, and accepted.
If you did sign up and got denied, only thing I can think off is to try signing in, in incognito mode, and try the link again. If there's any cookies etc preventing activation it could work

  • +5

Nice, got it. I would gladly pay the ebay plus subscription if this was a permanent feature of it.

  • If I sign up a new account on eBay plus can I enable this deal?

    • Try and let us know? Thanks
Or read this whole post from page one

    • Technically yes. But seems it didn’t work for some people and they were given the runaround on eBay chat.

      Maybe read from the start?

  • +1

It's interesting that is no longer displays this on my seller page for eBay, but I clicked the link above and now it does. Normally I can just activate them on my seller page, but this seems not to show now. It's worth a click, even if you didn't get the email

  • Will I still be eligible for this is I sold an item. Cancelled it due to buyer changing their mind and then did a second chance offer to a different bidder?

    • +1

It will count as 2 sold items.

  • Is the a monthly ongoing offer for ebay plus members?

  • I clicked accept but now it wants to charge me $1 to list. It’s normally free to list. Any tips or do I just wear it?

    • looks new seller account, not verified yet.

      • Thanks, i was able to verify using a PC, mobile wouldn’t let me do it for some reason.

  • I'm going to save $130 in fees by simply cancelling my current iPhone listing on ebay and creating a new listing. Thank you so much OP!

  • Guys, just to confirm I can list like 10 items and pay no fees for the first 3 of those 10 items I sell?

    • +1

      Yep.

  • Any success for those who took up an eBay Plus subscription then tried this promo?
I see some comments above suggesting no luck with chat etc.. just wondering if the link worked some days later for those?

    • +1

Edit: Thought I'd share.. I took up the eBay plus subscription with $80 voucher 3 days ago. Been trying the link in this deal to get 3 free final value fees - kept saying 'invite only'.

Thought I'd give it another try today and it worked! However for some reason its from 26 Oct (so in 2 days time)

"Pay $0 Variable Fees on 3 new sales, thanks to eBay Plus.

  • Anyone know if the same offer is going to be available for November?

    • Was wondering the same lol…. @doweyy?

      • +3

        @proudwanderer @Uncle Roger

I'm fairly certain once your current offer expires (30 days after you activated), you can then re-activate using the link again. That's my understanding going off the terms of the offer, hopefully :)

        • Fingers crossed! Thanks for the reply nephew ☺️

          • +2

@Uncle Roger: Confirming also that once your current offer expires, you can sign up again using the link and it resets for another 30 days :)

            • @doweyy: Yes mine seems to have worked as well. Just be careful not to sell today because it says "this offer is effective as of 02/11/2022".

    • +2

I just signed up, so it works for me, during November 2022.

( PS: I only signed up, as a new eBay Plus member, a couple of weeks ago
and I could not sign up to this 0% FVF promotion, at the beginning ).

  • Same link for November for those interested. Again, I got no email or ability to see the offer on my sellers page, but worked.

  • isnt this a better deal now?
    https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/733803

    • You can use both

      • for a saving of $3 total ? i would be concerned about something going wrong knowing ebay

        • I mean - accept both offers.

When you sell - you will either get charged $0 or $1

  • +1

Don't forget to activate this promo again this month, it may work for a while yet.

I can also confirm that if you also accepted the $1 offer this 0% one will trigger first when you sell.

    • activated 1st Nov, e+ expired 2nd day then offer disappeared from sell overview :(

waiting to trigger $80 re-join e+ offer if lucky :)

      • Try the link in this deal, that's what I used to activate it this month.

        • delayed to re-join plus today then sadly saw:

Unfortunately, you can no longer sign up for this promotional offer because it has expired.
