  • Got charged for 19 days of usage. Tried 2 online agents and both wouldn't budge. Will try calling like others here have to get the charge removed.

  • Called an Optus Rep and had no idea what I was talking about regarding early termination fee of only $500-600. He was saying it's going to cost over $1,000 as I have so many months left. I'm assuming I should just wait for the final bill which will reflect the early termination fee and not listen to the rep as he wasn't sure?

    Cancelled on the same/first day and got charged for the entire month. $588 + $49 = $637

    • Same here (after an hour of being on the plan and not activating the SIM). I got it waived over the phone, my agent had rather poor call proficiency and thought he'd whack another $49 on top of $637! The call ended quickly after the cybersecurity speel with little clarity on when I'd be emailed the new bill.

    Just got my bill, and they tried to charge me for a month of service when I didn't even activate it 🤣
    Called and resolved.

    • What's the number to call, if I may know? I tried live chat, she insisted I have to authenticate myself with the OTP she's sending to my Optus number before discussing anything (that very same number I cancelled, smh)

      • Same happened to me. Had to go in store and get my email added to account then ring up and get the service charged waived

        • I was lucky in that my HN salesperson used my current number and email which I used for 2FA.

        I called 133937 today. This was the number noted on my bill.
