    Most moronic mouse design possible.

    But otherwise good deal OP..

    • +3

Works great for me. I like that the mouse has a touch surface, I can pinch/zoom with it.

      • Yeah, mostly to do with the fact that charging port is smack bang at the bottom.

Many other mices managed to think of a more sensible location so you can charge and use (in an emergency).

        • +2

          not a big deal, you only charge it once every 5-6 months;

        • +2
          • @ThithLord: what is total charge time to full?

            • @pinkybrain: NFI. But you can charge it for * gasp * two minutes, you can then use it for 9hrs, and then at the end of the day you can plug it in upside down and continue on with your life

        • Yeah, mostly to do with the fact that charging port is smack bang at the bottom.
Many other mices managed to think of a more sensible location so you can charge and use (in an emergency).

yeah it crap design in terms of function over form (not to mention bad ergonomics)
but Apple intentionally did it like this, not by some mistake.

Apple is a company that is known for valuing form/design over many other aspects.

there is theory that it was design this way
to prevent users permanently (intentionally or forgetting) to remove the charging cable from the mouse…(which would mean it is no longer a cordless mouse).

I have stop removing the charging cable from my wireless mouse because I can't be bother to pull it out and plugging it back each time when charging.

With apple mouse, you have no choice,
you have to remove it after charging is complete

      • Correction on my previous comment about Magic Mouse: The Multi-Touch surface allows you to perform simple gestures such as swiping between web pages and scrolling through documents (does not pinch/zoom).

      • +7

Mac user here who really dislikes this mouse. Small and uncomfortable to hold for my fairly standard-sized hands. Bought the original MX Master a few years ago instead and have never looked back.

        • Same here, switched for the wrist health. However I miss the touch surface and momentum scrolling - MX's wheel is not the same and doesn't feel as integrated with the system.

      • Windows users are always gobsmacked when they use one of these mice

I don't even use Windows I'm gobsmacked that people think these mice are good.

        • Perhaps you should try using one!

          • @Lee71: I have, that's why I'm gobsmacked that people think these mice are good

      • +2

Windows users are always gobsmacked when they use one of these mice and they realise that they been diddled with old fashioned rubbishy button and click wheel mice all these years.

Lol, no they're not. Hell, plenty of Mac users don't even like the magic mouse.

      • I’m a user of both Mac and Windows and this mouse is rubbish.

      • And then everyone clapped.

        Cool story, bruh.

      • ergonomics is absolutely rubbish on this mouse.

    • +1

I hate to say this but somehow I've become a Magic Mouse fan. I don't know how it happened as I carry a MX anywhere mouse in addition to the magic mouse.

The charging port on the bottom is stupid and the thing that annoys me most about it.

      • and yet you still bought it.

if people don't buy it, apple might rethink their design choice

        • I was given the first one. I probably wouldn't have considered buying them.

The keyboard has a small chance of being modded to just a fingerprint reader as I prefer a mech KB anyway. The magic mouse has a 50/50 chance of being given away.

    • Best mouse I've ever had. It's simple but does everything I need. Yes the charge port at the bottom is frustrating, but you seriously plug it in and take leak or make a coffee and it's good to go until you give it an overnight charge. I need to charge it maybe once every month or two. Solid.

  • +1

    Thanks OP. Grabbed one.

  • +1

Cool, i paid via Paypal for $95 just for buyer protection.
Great deal at this price event without the discounts.

    • You have buyer protection now with eBay anyways. Besides that, check the seller's feedback. Thousands positive only

FYI, as mentioned in my post code SNSOCT will also take $10 off this bundle if you don't want to pay by credit card.

    • Thanks, updated.

  • Any keeb enthusiast wanna chime in on this? Will love the board if its like the macbooks but definitely not keen on the mouse

    • +3

      They’re stylish, not bad…
As an Apple enthusiast AND developer, I’m torn because Logitech and Microsoft make keyboards with better ergonomics.

If you’re just using it for some light you tubing or whatever.. go nuts.

If you’re writing a novel or next big app… consider a more ergonomic offering like the mx keys or especially the logi ergo.

      • -2

No mech keyboard and BT ANC headphones to block the noise?

    • +1

I hate it. I just take mine in my work bag because it's super light but at the end of the day my hands feel… Sore? And my typing accuracy is way down.

My normal working keyboard is a Logitech MX keys for reference

      • +1

I feel the same about Apple keyboards they are slim and nice and the key action is nice but the travel is too shallow, and if you do a lot of typing it's not great for you joints

        • +1

I use Mac chiclet keyboard with numpad on my PC for work and gaming, the wired model from like 12 or so years ago, and I prefer it. Best keyboard I ever used. I'm sure the current version is just as good, despite Apple's more recent fumble with butterfly mechanism on some MacBooks.

    • Daily driver is a keychron K6 with brown switches or occasionally an Anne Pro with box whites.

I personally like the Apple keyboards MBA, MBP, magic keyboard(non touch). It does take a bit to adjust to the shorter key travel.

  • +1

Hopefully, I will not regret it. The price seems to good… :D

EDIT: More than 10 available / 132 sold

Wondering, how many Macs this guy sold …

    • +3

FYI they are a corporate supplier so they'd be selling a lot of Macs.

      • That's interesting, did not know that. Thanks! :)

  • +1

    Nice one! Thanks OP :)

  • +1

    wow, cheers!

  • +1

thanks OP, i have no need for it but still bought it cause its cheap LOL

  • +3

Idk if I need this. And I don't know why I bought it either.

    • +1

This is the OzBargain way.. welcome

    • -1

Ditto. It will go great with the pink MX keys I just bought… and my other mechanical keyboards.

  • +1

bought one. been meaning to replace my broken keyboard.

  • I've been wanting one with numpad, but fug it, this is cheap, I buy anyway.

  • +4

I.. Certainly didn't need this. I have keyboards at home. I have a solution at work (wired with adapter for the 1-2 days a week I'm actually in the office).

I don't even like the layout (no pg up down end home etc).

    I can't stand the mouse.

I'm in bed ready to sleep but can't sleep so I naturally checked Ozbargain.

    I bought it. X.X

And yes it'll replace the work keyboard solution lol. Not sure what to do with the mouse though.. I'm an MX master user through and through. I know a colleague who might use it I guess.

  • Can you use this to control the apple TV, thanks

  • +5

Thanks op, student beans gives you $20 off
    credit to https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/723734

  • Already have mouse, keyboard, trackpad. Bought 2 anyway…

    • Happy to pay $110 and get 1 set if you don’t need. Thanks

  • While have been using Mac for nearly 10 years
still doesnt like the Apple magic mouse
IMO logitech accessories are way better to use…

The only advantage of magic keyboard that I can see is the integration of touch ID
but if you have an apple watch you can unlock Mac using the watch anyway

    • +4

Note that this touch ID only works with M1 macs and later.

      • So that includes M1 Mac Mini, iMac M1 and Mac Studio?

        • +2

Basically, must have M1 chip and later (just for the touch ID function, rest of keyboard works with anything).

  • +1

238 sold and still going!! Not sure even if Apple has so many in stock!

    • +2

Lmao seller is going to wake up to an “oh (profanity), $26k?”

    • 372 and still counting!

  • Yeah, bought 2.
Let’s see how this plays out.
Happy if it happens, no loss otherwise.

  • Only 114 left

  • Thanks OP, don’t need it but bought it anyways. Too good to be true.

  • Only 71 left

  • +1

Don't have a mac but bought anyway. Seems like a good price.

  • +1

468 sold in one hour. That's a lot of imacs not requiring a keyboard and mouse

    • What kind of office that doesn't require keyboard and mouse I wonder.

Meeting specialist? Strategy and Experience Delivery Managers?

      • Maybe they are using regular windows keyboards and mice. It is basically the same as a Mac keyboard, command is just the windows key and option becomes alt. Should work by default. Perhaps a large organisation that needed a thousand Macs but had rules about only using a certain keyboard and mouse for security reasons.

        • Right, these might have been swapped for keyboards that are more secure.

          • +1

@Kayk: Like wired keyboard and mice that have no wireless chips in them at all.

  • +1

    OOS

  • +1

    All gone ~ !!

  • +2

    Freak I needed this 😭

  • Deal of the month (if no cancellation)

    • Big “if”

  • now i got fomo.

  • Can anyone confirm if this keyboard is compatible with TWELVE SOUTH MagicBridge? To work together with trackpad.

    • It does fit although not exactly the same height as the trackpad I have. Maybe there's a new version of that too? Ended up taking out the riser plastic and it is closer (although slightly lower than flush with the top).

  • What's magic about the Kb?

    Magic mouse sucks

    • The magic is it works with Mac without Bluetooth pairing(just plug in the cable once) and across macOS and bootcamp.

    • +1

Magically gives you RSI when using it too long

  • +4

One time had gone to bed early & missing out some thing needed. You lucky people! D'oh

    • +5

Not to rub salt on your wound but, it was first posted on OB 2 days ago 😉

      • +1

Ah guess reading title & believed was a generic eBay code didn’t include a specific item, learnt now to check all details.

  • lol its not a full size keyboard no thank you.

    • Its good for the ipad pro as its compact and can fit in the bag

        • +2

You must have missed the memo about it being a post-PC world.

        • +1

I use real computers not imitations posing as computers.

          LOL!

So I do real computing that requires a full size keyboard

Real computing doesn't require a full size keyboard. Lots of people in IT use keyboards in the 60-87% range.

Tablets were never designed to be used like a regular computer it just makes my laugh when people treat it as such.

Samsung dex (Desktop experience on Android phones) must really upset you.

          I honestly can't tell if you're a troll.

    • Not sure why you got done voted. I mean if you are an accountant or uses numbers is a valid excuse.

      • An accountant or someone who works with numbers would know they need a numpad.

It's redundant information or a cool story at best.

      • Maybe their profession is full time keyboard warrior and troll. Probably not an accountant though, just guessing.

  • Props to you all being awake at midnight to snap these up!

    • Was just before bed for us in Perth.

    • +4

I snapped up 2 for the family during daylight hours and shared the deal couple days ago here 😜

      • What a man.

        What a man.

        What a man.

What a mighty, mighty good man.

        What a good man.

        Kudos, B2M!

Edit: where I come from, B2M means something entirely different. Personally, I'd never put one - never mind both - in my mouth…

They are probably trying to work out the best strategy to cancel the orders without pissing off the customers and leaving negative reviews. Lets see how this plays out

    • +1

      Doubt. I have tracking details.

      • -2

oh they have shipped yours already?

        • +1

          mine shipped as well
