Welcome to the ultimate guide of Netflix Subscriptions

Resharing after previous deal post expired due to a price increase by Netflix, except this guide may provide better guidance on sign ups. I've spent quite some time doing some testing and then making this post, so please share some love and let me know of any errors :)

Turkey is currently the cheapest place for a Netflix Standard and Premium subscription (for Basic plans, India is slightly cheaper by less than 10 cents), even after they increased prices multiple times (Example: Premium plan from TL₺54.99 to TL₺77.99 to TL₺93.99 in a span of a year

(Well actually, Pakistan is the cheapest country for all Netflix plans by several cents, according to this site and this full list of Netflix pricing around the world by CC123 and Giu, however, obtaining a Pakistan Netflix Gift Card to sign up will be quite difficult I believe)

Please note: Signing up via Part 3 may be the easier method as most OzBargainers previous had lots of issues with Part 2, due to Netflix Turkey requesting a Turkish mobile number

There are plenty of previous threads on users commenting their experience. Please read it if you are stuck. See here and here and here

Instructions

Please read the following instructions carefully.

Part 1 - Ensure you have your Australian mobile number and debit/credit card saved in your account

Complete either steps (a) or (b), depending on your current situation

a. If you currently have an Australian Netflix subscription:

  1. Make sure your Australian mobile number is saved and verified in your account. See this screenshot

  2. Make sure your current or new debit/credit card is saved and verified in your account.

  3. Once you’ve triple checked your mobile is added and verified, simply cancel your subscription and wait until the end of the renewal period (i.e. keep watching until the sub expires. Don’t let your sub go to waste since you’ve already paid for it). Once your subscription has expired, go to Part 2

b. If you DO NOT have a current Australian subscription:

  1. Sign up and subscribe to any Australian Netflix plan (preferably the lowest cost basic plan - don’t worry, you’ll get your money back)

  2. Once you’ve signed up, make sure your Australian mobile number is saved and verified in your account. See this screenshot

  3. Make sure your current or new debit/credit card is saved and verified in your account.

  4. Once you’ve triple checked your mobile is added and verified, go to Netflix Live Chat and tell them you “would like a full refund since you’ve changed your mind” - they usually don’t ask why but if they do make up some random excuse like “my sibling just signed up” or “you don’t want it anymore” etc. This should be a very fast step and take you only several minutes. The account cancellation will be effective immediately and the refund will arrive in a few hours or days

  5. Once your subscription has expired (should be immediate as you’ve cancelled it for a refund through live chat), go to Part 2

Part 2 - Signing up via Netflix Turkey (Direct Method - No Gift Cards - MOST LIKELY TO FAIL)

  1. With VPN off, log into your Netflix account

  2. Activate a VPN service, turn it on and set it to Turkey (Istanbul is the largest city). There’s many free VPN’s if you don’t have a subscription to one. Here's a few great VPNs that work:

    Nord VPN: https://nordvpn.com/
    Express VPN: https://www.expressvpn.com/
    PureVPN: https://www.purevpn.com/
    Windscribe VPN: https://www.windscribe.com/
    ExpressVPN: https://www.expressvpn.com/

Note: Use chrome browser plugins for these VPNs where possible

Possible Problem: You use Windscribe VPN and set it to Turkey, but it defaults to one of the cities of Turkey that is not Istanbul.
Possible Solution: You want it to land in Istanbul, Turkey, so keep turning off and on the VPN until it lands in Istanbul. Confirm it’s Istanbul by refreshing this page: https://whatismyipaddress.com/

  3. Open Netflix and proceed to Netflix to choose your plan:

    https://www.netflix.com/

  4. Proceed by adding your Australian credit/debit card as the backup payment method

Possibly working cards from: 28 Degrees, ANZ Rewards, Citibank Debit, Macquarie

Possible Problem: If it asks for a Turkish mobile number, you will have to find a working one so they can send you verification. AFAIK, there is no way bypassing this and you will need to sign up via Part 3

Possible Solution to Problem by toxicpuffle: For bypassing the mobile phone page for Part 2, what worked for me (at least signing up a few months ago) was turning off the VPN once you get to that page, so that it instead tries to verify your mobile with an Australian number instead of a Turkish one, and then turning the vpn back on after you’ve verified to complete the purchase. Reportedy didn't work - proceed with caution

Part 3 - Signing up via Netflix Turkey (Using Gift Cards if Part 2 Fails - EASIEST METHOD)

  1. Purchase a Turkey Netflix Gift Card. If you are signing up to Netflix Premium, buy the 100 TL gift card. If signing up to Netflix Basic/Standard, buy the 75 TL gift card (just an idea, doesn’t matter what GC you get)

Note: Choose a reputable seller and make an account so you have a record of the purchases if anything goes wrong. I recommend Turgame (I've bought Turkey Apple GC's from there and they have fast delivery, they charge the same price as the gift card value and the payment gateway fee is very low) or g2a

  2. Once you’ve received your gift card, it’s time to redeem your gift card and sign up to Netflix Turkey at the same time. Make sure from Part 1 that you have not logged out. You must stay logged in to your Australian account. If you’ve logged out, please log back in now with VPN turned off (Logging into your Aus account with a VPN gives an error)

  3. Activate a VPN service, turn it on and set it to Turkey (Istanbul is the largest city). There’s many free VPN’s if you don’t have a subscription to one. Here's a few great VPNs that work:

    Nord VPN: https://nordvpn.com/
    Express VPN: https://www.expressvpn.com/
    PureVPN: https://www.purevpn.com/
    Windscribe VPN: https://www.windscribe.com/
    ExpressVPN: https://www.expressvpn.com/

Note: Use chrome browser plugins for these VPNs where possible

Possible Problem 1: If you use Windscribe VPN and set it to Turkey, sometimes it defaults to one of the cities of Turkey that is not Istanbul. You want it to land in Istanbul, Turkey, so keep turning off and on the VPN until it lands in Istanbul. Confirm it’s Istanbul by refreshing this page: https://whatismyipaddress.com/

  4. With VPN on, open a new tab and go to the following Netflix site to redeem your gift card and follow the prompts to subscribe to Netflix Turkey:

    https://www.netflix.com/redeem

Possible Problem: On the plan selection page, the currency is not in Turkish Lira
Possible Solution: The problem is due to your VPN. Double check or change your VPN if needed

  5. Proceed by choosing your current saved Australian credit/debit card (shown on screen) as the backup payment method, or add a new card in (you must do this - do not skip it)

Possible Problem: After entering your debit/credit card details, it asks for a Turkish mobile number
Possible Solution: Again, the problem is due to your VPN. Double check or change your VPN if needed, then go back to step 4

Possible Problem: My debit/credit cards keep declining, and I'm unable to subscribe
Possible Solution: It's likely the problem is due to your VPN. Double check or change your VPN if needed and restart the whole process. However, if VPN is not the problem, you can continue to subscribe without a backup payment method (i.e. start your subscription with just the Gift Card you bought), and then afterwards you can contact live chat and tell them you need to update your payment method by asking them to send a payment form popup (this will allow you to add a credit/debit card and save it into the account). If the agent refuses or has no idea what you’re trying to say, end the chat and start a new one.

Note: You’ve just used your gift card to pay for the first month, as well as partially for the second month. For the second month, Netflix will deduct the remaining of the gift card, and the remaining balance will come out of the credit/debit card you’ve inputted, and from thereon each month Netflix will keep charging your bank at those rates (be aware many banks like Commonwealth Bank have a small international transaction fee but this is only a few cents extra. Suncorp and Latitude Platinum have no international fees). Besides this, you should be saving >$100 AUD each year at least ($200 saving annually for the premium plan)

  6. You’re done! Turn off your VPN and enjoy your subscription :)

FAQ

Q: Will I need to turn VPN on everytime I watch Netflix?
A: No! You no longer need to have VPN on every time you watch a show or movie. VPN is only required for sign up. After sign up, use Netflix without a VPN and you will have access to the Australian Netflix library.

Q: I want to watch a show/move from another region or country. Can I do this?
A: If you want to watch a show or movie that is region locked to another country, you can do so by setting your VPN on your phone, laptop or PC to that country to watch it. Yes, you will need a VPN for this

Q: I got charged a different rate compared to the prices on this post. What happened?
A: Due to foreign exchange rates constantly fluctuating, prices will differ by several cents each month

Q: I have an existing Netflix subscription, can I use the same email?
A: Definitely! See Part A

Q: My bank blocked my payment, what do I do?
A: Some banks block 1st attempt and then text to confirm it's you. Once you reply, 2nd attempt may work. If after several attempts it does not work, just go through the Gift Card method and avoid the pain

Q: How do I update to a new debit/credit card?
A: You can contact live chat and ask them to send a payment form popup (this will allow you to add a credit/debit card and save it into the account). If the agent refuses or has no idea what you’re trying to say, end the chat and start a new one.

Q: Is signing up to Netflix Turkey going to affect my Netflix library/catalogue?
A: After setting up this sub, you may or may not notice the Netflix catalogue may be weird with brand new shows, etc… It might not even change anything, but if it does change, your Netflix catalogue will adjust to what you’re watching and soon it will look like nothing ever happened

Q: GST/VAT and Tax related questions?
A: See here

My overseas family are no longer able to watch any content. It states "this account cannot be used in this region"

  • Anyone know a free vpn that works for this ? Has a server in Istanbul ?

    • +1

There’s several listed in the OP that have free trials that you can use.

  • Can somebody confirm if my backup card is setup correct?
    https://imgur.com/a/DKZ0w83
    thanks

  • Hi guys. I have a problem.
I’m living in Australia and have successfully subscribed to Netflix. But when I share my account with my friends in Vietnam, they can't log in. It said they entered the wrong password, and even when we changed the password and tried again, it still said they were wrong.
So with that account, I can only use it by myself, can't share it anywhere else right?
    Thank for your answer.

    • +1

It could be due to their crackdown on account sharing across different IP’s.

      • But my cousin paid for a normal Australian Netflix and shared it with those friends in Vietnam too. It works. It's discriminatory Lol

  • Thanks OP for sharing this! I would like to add that I did have issue with adding a backup card so I skipped the step eventually. However the back up payment method actually already exists as per the previous setting (I had PayPal selected as the backup payment method).

    • A PayPal backup will fail… Needed to have a back up set up when it was still active on a Australian account

      • I did manage to add another credit card anyway using live chat so hopefully it will work from now.

  • I've tried live chat with Netflix to add another payment method as I keep getting declined. She sent me this message:-

"As per checking, the card that you entered is not qualified for the service. We are getting a generic decline and there could be lots of reasons why a payment can get rejected though we do not have the specific information as to why it is being declined. I would suggest to use another method of payment activated for recurring ecommerce transaction enabled."

Anyway to bypass the secondary payment?

  • Followed Parts 1 and 3. Purchased a 75TL card from Turgame at 1.30pm CDST and received the code within 5 minutes. I used Windscribe as my VPN. Instead of my usual Netflix Standard, opted for Premium. My backup payment method was my previous primary payment method - 28 Degrees Mastercard. Once I had the Turkey Netflix Gift Card the rest of the process only took a couple of minutes. Complements my Indian Youtube Premium.

    Thanks OP.

  • Any suggestions for cheaper Netflix that does not involve have a specific credit card?

1000TL, is this enough for 1 year of premium?

    • +1

Nope, that would be good for 10.5 months.

  • Data point re: Pakistani Netflix

Pakistan continues to the be the cheapest and I suspect because people "abuse" the Pakistan route less often, the price at 1100PKR has remained unchanged for a while now, despite Turkey's pricing increasing several times. I am guessing the Turkish currency also suffers from greater inflation though, which I presume would also be a factor in the more frequent price adjustments.

I previously managed to get Pakistan to work (over a year ago) but I am not able to get it to work anymore (trying to sign up for a new account for a friend). In terms of VPN, I've tried HolaVPN (Chrome extension) and VyprVPN - both of these two work with getting PKR currency to appear. Note: I haven't tried ExpressVPN since last year, but when I tried previously, ipleak.net would correctly pick up a Pakistani IP address, but the currency displayed on Netflix was GBP.

Every. single. card. I use gets rejected (and I have many cards). The rejection is the general "There was a problem with your payment method" error.

I then did a test to see if the same would happen when I was doing the same via Turkey, which would then prompt me to receive a authentication code on a Turkish number which means it's working, and that, for whatever reason, it seems like Pakistan is rejecting all foreign cards. Not sure if anyone else is having the same issue.. but I'm trying to get on Pakistan because there will be people in Malaysia attempting to use this account, and Turkish Netflix accounts can't be used in Malaysia for some reason (but Pakistan is fine!)

Hi all, I thought I would give you an update regarding updating the credit card if it expires. I had Revolut all set up but for some reason they cancelled and replaced it. I tried to update online, but no success. So last month I topped up via Turkish gift card, but this month I just waited and I went on my tv up and the new Revolut MasterCard worked straight away!

    • u mean you update payment method via tv ?

      • Yes, that’s correct.

  • ty for this worked for me today after my membership expired after midnight and with gift card from G2A

  • received a new credit card. Hoping the TV update trick will work as they asked for a local Turkish phone number

  • Finally able to go through and use TURGAME as previously tried it for Disney+ and Xbov Live Gold giftcards but they all failed, the 100TL card went through with an additional verification step that took a couple of minutes before it refreshed, but it's now been on 'processing' for the last 30 minutes when others have reported getting the card within 5.

Hopefully it comes soon so I can sort this out before work tonight!

      same boat
bought a giftcard this morning, it sat on failed for a few mins before sending me an order received confirmation saying I'll get the code in a few mins.
its been about 8 hours now and still nothing

      • +1

That's a bit crap, but at least I'm not the only one.

Opened a ticket just then asking about it so will see if/when they reply to that.

        • yeah, wish i had used the other option (g2a?)
let me know how you get on. I don't need to renew for a few weeks so I'm not in a big rush

          • @pipster11: Yep will do. I should have gone the g2a method as well for the bit extra, but wasn't expecting TURGAME to work as it had failed even when getting the SMS verification from my bank for it.

  • +1

Well my gift card came in just before I headed to work last night, trying it today and it works, but when I get to the part where I select the backup payment method I add in the CVV of my saved card and get the dreaded "Sorry, something went wrong. Please try again later."

Have used both Windscribe extension on Chrome and Edge as well as Hola and same error.. damn.

    • Hi, try this another person mentioned it worked.

“After trying a number of times unsuccessfully—and 3 failed Live chats—I opened an Incognito Mode browser and tried doing it without any saved cookies—worked like a charm.”

      https://www.computerworld.com/article/3356840/how-to-go-inco…

      • I saw that, but I’m not sure how that works when you need to log into your AU Netflix account first as trying to log in directly to TR Netflix comes up with a email/password incorrect error?

        • So replying to my previous comment, decided to skip the backup payment option and just went with the giftcard. Will see if it takes it from there when the next month is due, if not will try and get the card re added through support or just keep buying gift cards a couple of months at a time.

Still cheaper than the old ARG plan I was on and waaayyyy cheaper than the AU pricing!

  • +1

    Hi guys,

I have an active Argentina account (which is just about to jack prices +60% and become more expensive than Aust pricing).
    - My account shows my Aust phone number and (28 degrees) CC.

Can I assume I'm good for step 1a ("I currently have an Australian netflix membership") and go from there? (note my account isn't an Aust account).

    Thanks!

    • After the price increase the standard plan (2 screens) is just cheaper in Argentina, from what I can tell.
New standard plan price ARS 1,299 plus 35% tax = ARS1753.65

ARS 1753.65 to AUD today is = $15.18 AUD

Netflix standard plan is australia is $16.99

I couldn’t be bothered switching before, but price rise will probably prompt me.
      Turgame is a good option.

      For Turkey
Standard is $6 AUD a month
Premium is $9 AUD a month according to this post headline

  • How do you get the VPN? Which one is cheaper? I need just one month of Netflix for my day during school holidays

    • You do need a 'reputable' VPN, mostly because the Free VPN accounts either

1/ won't have a server located in Turkey or Istanbul, or
2/ The VPN server's IP could already be blacklisted by Netflix, because people often use Free VPN accounts to test Stolen/Hacked passwords.
3/ They could have limited CPU or bandwidth, and it might take several attempts to load the netflix homepage with the images. Free VPNs are usually awfully slow.

You could probably use Hola, or Tunnelbear which is free. Opera has a VPN, there might be a few free / account based VPNs you could use.

You really only need it to work for 5-10 minutes, tops. There also aren't many VPN's with trial periods that I know of, they usually sign you up, and you can cancel afterwards.

      e.g. https://vpnoverview.com/vpn-trials/

As for recommendations, most "Review" and comparison pages get paid by referrals, which affects who gets ranked as #1. Same as Finder/CompareTheMarket, etc.

Go with whatever is cheap and gets a good to average review. I Used PIA as they had a recent deal, but Nord/Surfshark/ExpressVPN are mostly the same beast.

    • If you only need Netflix for one month wouldn't it be easier just to pay the full rate for one month. I know that it's not the Ozbargain way but sometimes paying that bit extra makes life easier than jumping through hoops.

  • I used Netflix australia for a month and when i try to restart subscription in Netflix turkey, i get this message "There was an error processing your payment information. Please check that all fields are filled out correctly and try again.' I was using transferwise card as payment

    • Get a Turkey Gift Card to restart it and your saved card will hopefully work for the ongoing months

If not you will have to keep buying the Turkey Gift Cards which are about $10 a month

This was what I went with:

      https://www.g2a.com/netflix-gift-card-100-tl-turkey-i1000000…

      • +1

        Thanks, Will look into it

        • How’d you go?

          It worked for me

The 100 Lira Gift Card had about 6 Lira left on it after the 1st month and then took out the remaining 6 to extend me by 2 Days

It then accepted my saved Australian card to extend by another month

  • +1

My ING Visa debit card expired this month, and to my surprise, my existing Turkey subscription debited successfully from my new card without me having to do anything! It must have automatically updated the expiry date as the card number hadn't changed!

    • +1

Probably ING would still process transaction as it had valid card details and it was a regular transaction previously being debited from your account. I don't think Netflix will have updated expiry & CVV codes

    • +1

Same happened for me. Wonder how long it will last for.

      • As long as card number won't change, my guess is it should work.

  • Which VPN is working for Turkey now? I got PureVPN and Netflix is not working with their Turkey server. Any other suggestions?

    • +1

I managed to renew my Netflix using PIA. However, Netflix charging me TL 93.99 per month for premium plan. Not sure what I did wrong here.

    • 93.99 is the new price but still only about $7.50 AUD

  • I get 'can't reach this page' on Nord - Istanbul 'DataCamp Limited' Turkey Server 60 and 61.

Worked on server 52 'Packethub S.A.'

But now on redeem page i get 'Sorry, we are unable to process your request. Please try again later.'

    • OH! i find that on the redeem page, you should login first. (with another tab already logged in) - so open up a new tab and goto netflix.com, login there. With VPN you should be on netflix.com/tr-en/ LOG IN HERE.

Once logged in THEN edit the URL and add /redeem at the end of URL, and apply the giftcard code at this redeem page - bc you are already logged it will bypass the currency/region check and applies the TL gift credit to your aus region account regardless.

      Win!

  • +4

Just a quick tip for those who already have an Australian Netflix account (and an associated verified mobile number and payment method), during reactivation when it prompts to add a backup payment method, select 'skip this step'. It will keep your previously associated payment method; you do not need to provide additional verification via the CVV (and if you try, you'll likely encounter the 'something went wrong' error or be prompted to verify a Turkish mobile number).

    • Thankyou thankyou thankyou!!!

    • If I already have a verified mobile number and payment method, and during reactivation I "skip" the backup payment as per your instructions - would it charge in TLR my existing payment method straight away?

Or would I still have to sign up with the TLR gift card (as others have done), and then it will charge my existing payment method for subsequent months?

  • +4

Just thought I'd share my experience in case it helps others…

    Starting point
    * Australian Netflix subscription expired
    * Mobile number was previously added on my account
    * No credit card on my account

    Buy Netflix Turkey gift card
    * I used Turgame
    * For me, it took several hours to receive the gift card

    Install free VPN (Windscribe)
    * Most people recommended NordVPN but I missed the previous 95% off deal
    * Windscribe has a free option which includes access to Turkey
    * Create an account
    * Download the Chrome browser extension
    * Log into the extension but don't turn it on yet

    Apply gift card to account
    * Log into Netflix account in Chrome browser - the 'restart membership' screen will show
    * Close Netflix tab
    * Close Chrome browser down
    * Reopen Chrome browser
    * In Windscribe extension, select the globe icon to change location to Turkey (make sure you choose Istanbul under Turkey)
    * Once location selected, turn VPN on
    * Paste this link into the browser: https://www.netflix.com/redeem page which will redirect to the Turkish equivalent page
    * Enter gift card code in
    * Select the plan you want (Basic, Standard or Premium)
    * When it asks for a backup payment, just skip
    * Your subscription is now renewed

    • Since you skipped the backup payment, what's your plan? From what I can tell there are two options: continue buying gift cards or contact customer support as per original instructions ("contact live chat and tell them you need to update your payment method … ")

      • +2

Ill just keep buying gift cards. Pretty easy to do and avoids auto withdrawals so I can pause for a little while if I want too.

  • I bought a gift card from Turgame and received it in a min. But when I redeemed it, it showed not valid.

    • How did Turgame support assist?

  • Anyone seeing this:

    Action Required. Attention please!

We have noticed that you are accessing our site via Proxy or VPN.
You must turn off the proxy or VPN connection before you can complete the payment.

    • Yes, I get this on Turgame. Honestly, I give up :/

      • Okay I turned the vpn off paid in euros - ing card. Worked after that's @cindernat

        • ok, might try that tomorrow, thank you.

  • Have anyone had been overcharged with Turgame?
Bought the 75TL giftcard and got charged $146.63AUD on my ANZ card. The status is pending so have to temporarily block my card.

    • are you sure u bought 75 TL one ?

    • That amount of money would mean you bought ~1500TL - could be a quantity of 20X 75TL gift cards. Check the emails they sent with the order & keys. Do they all say " Netflix Gift Card 75 TL Key TURKEY x 1 3,89 EUR"?
If the amount billed differs from the emails, then lodge a support ticket with them. Should be resolvable - they've been around for a while. Good luck!
I just bought a 75TL today and was not overcharged. A$6.77 on 28 Degrees card.

      • +1

        Thanks mate,

The order was cancelled from their end probably due to me blocked my card before it could be processed.

I went with g2a later instead. This should have been the first option. Way easier and has PayPal option. I got my code less than a minute after placed the order with PayPal.

      • Can you share the transaction showed in your bank app? The money still got deducted and the transaction seems not from Turgame

        Eftpos lyzico*paybox.Com.Tr Istanbul

But this was the only transaction I did on my card that day and it appeared right after I submitted the order through Turgame plus I have never made any payments in Turkey. (My Youtube is from India)

        • Isn't that because they act as just a market place for the codes and you can choose which one to make the buy with

        • I bought a few and this was the description for them all…

Online Purchase From Paytr. *turgame Iz -
          Eur x.xx

  • Bit confused when reading the steps. Looking to move to Turkey due to CDC rebate ending next month.

In Step 2 it says the following"

"Proceed by adding your Australian credit/debit card as the backup payment method
Possibly working cards from: 28 Degrees, ANZ Rewards, Citibank Debit, Macquarie"

But haven't you already added your credit card in Step 1? Do you have to add a different card as the backup, or just skip this step if you already added a card in step 1?

"Make sure your current or new debit/credit card is saved and verified in your account."

    • +1

      Just skip it

    • due to CDC rebate ending next month

Should move over anyway. CDC rebate works regardless of currency/country

        • Sometimes could be a VPN problem, or mucking around with the steps to make it work

  • Is there any step for :

1c. If you do not have australian account (eg Turkey) and have existing subscription active, but needs to update payment?

This was my problem. Couldn’t figure out a workaround for my Argentina account as it kept asking for an Argentina phone number to verify. Ended up having to create a new account.

I suppose you could try and buy a Turkish netlfix gift card and go to the redeem link? But if you don’t already have a verified phone number I think it would still fail and you’d be out a gift card

      • Yeah, Starts a new account probably the most straight forward solution.

  • gave up trying to update cc.

so bought 100 tr gc from turgame.

so is this the cheapest provider for turkish netflix gift card ?

my gift card credit ran out and i couldnt update my cc using the inbuilt payment update method, asked live chat for a payment form and easy as, now paying with 28deg in Turkish Lira.

    • How does the payment form look like?
They didnt send you a link via email, did you?

  • Hi all, I seem to be able to use the Turkish gift card no problem (using Nord VPN chrome extension).

Input Turikish gift card on the Redeem screen which seems to work fine.
Select the plan I want, then asked to enter my card details OK for billing on the next screen.
That seems to go through OK.

However every time I get to the next screen (mobile number screen), it asks for a Turkish phone number to be put in.
My aussie phone number is already attached to my account and verified.

I've tried using incognito mode as well but always get up to that screen and stuck

    Any tips?

You have to already have your card details entered and verfied under part1 step 2. before you do any vpn stuff

WIll this method work to get Turkish NF working again without requiring a turkish mobile number?

    1. Add new card details and subscribe to Netflix Australia's cheapest option
    2. Cancel sub and let it run out
    3. Buy 100 lira gift code
    4. Log into Netflix Australia
    5. VPN to Turkey
    6. Subscribe to Netflix Turkey with gift code (when it prompts to add a backup payment method, select 'skip this step')
    7. When sub auto-renew a month later, it'll use previously saved CC

I just did this and it worked

The 100 Lira Gift Card used the remaining 6 Lira left to extend the subscription by 2 extra days and then it took out the next month from my saved Australian Debit Card

        Thanks for confirming

Thanks heaps! Worked the first try, TURGAME did not work but G2A worked perfectly for the gift card.

  • Been waiting for about 5 hours for Turgame to process my order. Is this normal?

    • +1

When I first ordered from them on a weekend they came through about 7pm that night IIRC, which was 8hrs after ordering.

  • Netflix account shows "Your account has already been cancelled." (did this last Friday), and I can't watch anything. I'm signed in, turned on Nord VPN for Turkey and tried to redeem the Turgame giftcard key at https://www.netflix.com/tr-en/redeem. Received the "The code entered is not valid" message.

    Where to from here?

  • Hoping someone can help me I Tried everything but getting no where with updating backup payment in my AC tried 2 different VPNS & on browser plugin on laptop & on Android phone used 3 different CC's one is a Latitude MC too both same problem comes to Turkish OTP.

Tried the Turkey Mobile No online but that's never getting through too

Netflix is operational using the Turkey GC till next month.

Chat to Netflix online & the link came in an email which has same problem (although never got a pop up form as suggested in original post last step)

    • You have to set your card up on Australian Netflix

After cancelling and restarting with Turkey Netflix you use the Gift Card for a month then it should start using your Australian payment card

      Worked for me

      • Humm yes I did add my AC previously & when I login to my AC & when going in to manage payment info it shows there is no card so seems like a wait & see in 4 weeks time thanks for the reply

        • That sounds like a problem if you don’t have a saved card

Might have to cancel and go back to Australian Netflix for a month to add it then cancel again or keep buying Gift Cards each month

  • Anyone able to activate a Turgame code using Nord? I keep getting "The code entered is not valid".
