  • new to this, does that mean i can buy 1 month for the sim card and another 11 for recharge?

    • +1

      Computer says no.

Thanks Op bought one & tracked already.

    • Read the T&C above…

  • +12

The ultimate question is, should I buy now or wait until $3 profit? lol

    • Your profits are only limited by your imagination. And possibly your credit limit

      • +1

        Prepaid has no credit check

        • I meant wrt the credit limit on your credit card. For example, a modest 2k credit limit would facilitate the purchase of 100 Boost Mobile SIMs for a cashback profit of $200

          • +2

@tharlow: 95 day till they pay cashback, even if you have a 55 days period you will be out of pocket for at least 40 days.

$83 cost out of your profit if 17 percent interest on credit card

            • @Tleyx: That’s the cost of doing business, I’m afraid. But thank you for the sound financial advice!

            • @Tleyx: That's if it even tracks. I'm currently ping ponging emails to CR and am being told up to 90 days to resolve. My previous boost sim tracked and I don't think I did anything differently the second time.

              • @EatSleepOzBargainRpt: Hmm if 6 percent or more dont track then no profit on your $2k spend assuming above numbers still.

                Seems risky

  • +1

    Seems similar to this but with higher cashback;

Gotta say I have an extremely positive opinion of Boost at the moment

    • Because of price?
They're giving good cashbacks via Cashrewards but their fraud systems are a bit annoyingly strict. Otherwise, yes they have certainly been quite generous with these cashbacks. Can't complain too much from that perspective.

      • because of their cashbacks :)
the correlations between profit they r giving out vs self worth.

Where is the esim boost, saying for last 12 months that we are working on it

    • You’re lucky it’s not a government operation — we are working on it means exactly this is nowhere on our list of priorities

      • +1

they will be going to put esim to a vote lol

    • We don't have esim capability yet but it is a top priority for us, we are working really hard to offer it as soon as possible for both existing customers and new customers!

      • +2

What about international roaming?? We've been waiting ages and not long ago you stated end of Oct, or are there no plans until next year?

  • Love the international calling… should roll this deal when in the heat of covid and international lock down

  • I already got a boost sim from the last deal. Would I be able to activate this?

    • -7

It’s an easy way to add thousands to your monthly income. Just be sure to declare the extra income on your tax return

      • +4

I buy them so that I could call my parents back home as they don't have access to the internet. If you don't have the answer to my question just move on.

        • +1

you got to activate within 30 days for purchase for the cashback to be approved.

  • Be aware
If you do manage to get past the ' problem error' page and buy some cards, the boost/telstra activation process is getting tougher and the number of times you use your license, medicare and passport is capped.

    • Happened to me! Cannot activate any more Belong sim and didn't know why until seeing this

      • does this mean you cannot jump from provider to provider every month anymore?

after kogan stopped with the $15 deals I swapped to moose and havent switched but am looking to see if any more opportunity arises.

what about if I was to jump on this and then jump back after 1 month?

        • All that jumping is good exercise. You are really looking after your heart

      • +2

At least Belong is transparent about it by showing all your previous services in your account.

        • Does Boost not show all previous (expired) services attached to your Boost ID?

          • +1

@tharlow: Not for Boost, I think it is a new thing to Belong.

      • +3

Stupid comment. There are several reasons one may want more than two SIMS. Why assume people are using for fraudulent reasons?

        • -8

I notice you didn’t name even one

          • +2

@tharlow: Nope and deliberately. Google "Why do people have multiple SIM cards" as you might discover something new :-) If you don't then pop back and I will let you know several legit reasons that I have 4 ongoing.

              • +2

@tharlow: and you are okay in engaging in potentially libellous/defaming activity?

i'm glad there's a block feature to filter off all the nonsense.

                • -3

@slowmo: I guess you can’t see this reply, so I’d like to take this opportunity to invoke my rights, and remain silent

    • +1

It is time to stop buying or activating it later.

    • +1

I think they allow 4 activations. Not site when it resets but it would be a while. I alternate between boost, kogan, amaysim and lebara. Whoever has the best deal at the time. I noticed telstra has rheir $30 sim for $10 so i will try that out. The only problem with switching monthly is over time i have lost a few phone numbers with porting problems.

    • The support is pretty good at boost though, usually 5 mins with live chat and I'm activated.

    • I'm still really confused by these comments about being capped.

Does this still apply if you do not need to use your real ID? I'm pretty sure you can just login to your account and then it will allow you to add it.

  • Just in time for next month's data usage.

  • +4

Combine with this if you’ve been targeted

    https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/735215

to make it a $12 profit.

OP maybe you can add to description of your deal.

  • +1

How long does it take to get the SIM card delivered?

    • Took 3-4 business days metropolitan Sydney via AusPost

    • +1

Up to 6 business days Sydney Metro North.
They sit on a shelf at Strathfield Depot.

  • +1

Thanks, stacked with the deal literally right underneath this one.

    • +1

Luckily it wasn’t figuratively right under this one, or I would have no idea what you were talking about. Thanks!

  • +1

It seems the extra data/55 gb is if activiated by 28 Nov. Afterwards, it's 40 gb

  • Normally it tracks straightaway with Cashrewards, but not this time (been about 20min).

    Anyone experiencing tracking issue?

    • I've tracked immediately after paid.

    • I've experienced once that was not tracked. After certain days I filed a report to the staff and they checked and manually put it on track.

  • After activating, does the service need to remain active for a certain period of time to get the cashback?

  • New to CR, is this promo only once per account? Family is visiting next month and planning to buy 4 of this. If I do 4 transactions will I get $2 or $8?

    • +1

"Multiple SIM purchases need to be made as separate transactions. Adding more than one SIM to an order will result in an untracked purchase".

Spelled out pretty clear in 1st of the conditions above

      • Thank you! Thought it will be like SB which normally once per account
