BTW , I am not affiliated with any of these supplies.

It is still running fine 18 months later and comparable to the Ryobi original which I still use. The only negative is the clip to hold it in is tight and insertion and ejection is not effortless. I notice as I alternate between the guinuine and third party one.

What a journey… I had to go to 3 Bunnings to get these.
First went to Kingsgrove, at the tool shop they said they won’t sell them until Black Friday (not on the shelves). Returns counter equally unhelpful. I had also made a C&C for Kingsgrove (which I will cancel tomorrow) and I asked them about that, they said it won’t be fulfilled until Black Friday either.
Next up, Kirrawee. Plenty of stock showing online. Similar issue. Except this time the tool shop attendant said the entire pallet had gone missing or something along those lines. Anyway, no good.
Gave Rockdale a call to check ahead. They said they had 3 and could set one aside. Fortunately managed to grab one of those.

Nope, walked in to Wallsend store lunchtime today and they had heaps of them in a stand outside the tool shop area with the $249 price tag showing.

Had somewhere between 5 and 10 units in a special display just outside the tool shop.Can confirm they are just a new 'limited edition' box around 2 2x4AH retail blister packs. Mine were dated week 43 2021 so about a year old.

how do people sort out the warranty registration when going halves? share online receipt which bears the address if its purchased with a bunnings registered account?

Was looking at getting the 2x6Ah pack as they are the HP batteries with the extra connector for higher powered tools, however this pack is great value.
Has anyone used tools with the HP batteries and can comment on whether the extra performance is noticeable?
Hey @dbun1 I splashed out and got a 9Ah HP a while back, when it was $199. At the time, 2 x 5Ah were the same price. Glad I got it, it's a beast. Especially on brushless tools.
I bought it for the OCS1830BL chainsaw and I'm impressed. Not "same-as-a-petrol-chainsaw" impressed, but I reckon I use the Ryobi 5 times more than the small Husqvarna petrol one. I probably shouldn't be using it on Ironbarks, but it gets through OK :-) Same with the brushless whipper snipper, turned it into a nice tool to use. Even on older brushed tools, I can feel and hear the performance boost.

Saw a comment previously regarding warranty registration if splitting. Not sure how important registration is as the standard warranty is 3 years and should be claimable directly from Bunnings.
This 4 pack comes up in the Ryobi portal and you register each two pack separately.
Registration may be more important for tools that come with additional warranty e.g garden tools that are 6 years after registration to get the additional two years.
That’s good that they’re standard 3 year. The last one I bought came up as 1 year with the extended being an extra 2 years.
I could be wrong - The packaging just says '3 year warranty' with no fine print anywhere.
The skins I bought previously had "6 year warranty" with a 2 + 4 year fine print regarding registering.
