Been looking for a new tripod for past few weeks and stumbled across this today. Seems to be a large price drop (-89% from RRP $509.95). I recall seeing it between $200-$300 in the past. Only catch is it ships from Amazon UK, so may be longer than usual for delivery. I took the plunge and ordered. Expected to arrive by 8 Dec 2022.

    Listing appears to be just for the Sony specific plate not the entire tripod.

      I thought that too, but the item model number, RRP and Camelx3 shows it might be the actual tripod. Will post once I receive something.

      I believe the plate is replaceable. You can buy Nikon or Canon ones for example.

        If your camera doesn’t fit, you can buy a suitable replacement mount for cheap.

      The plate has a profile shaped for A7 and A9, but probably also fits other camera bodies.

      You can always get the universal plate 200PL.

      That’s incorrect - the part number shown is for the entire tripod.

    the plate would only fit a sony body or if you and a lenses with a tripod mount.
    you would need to order the flat plate from manfrotto to fit your standard body. or replace the head with a different styled one.

    Bought first, thunk later. Cancelled order. Seems to me to be a misleading listing. Tripod options are shown in the dropdown box. The RRP does suggest that it is the whole tripod so I might kick myself later.

      Massive overkill for phones but just get a phone tripod mount adapter (that screws into the standard screw mount for like $10 off ebay) and you are golden.

      A camera travel tripod + phone mount is an amazing thing to have for taking videos, time lapses, etc. I use my tripod for my phone more than for my main camera.
