Kogan is in Victoria and is local stock shipped from Victoria

        • +1

No, Kogan ships them from overseas.

      • What happened to the deal on Samsung 7.7 tab?

        • Ready to post, but we have to wait till tomorrow, Ozbargain policy only allow 1 deal per day.

        • Thanks, I will get the money ready then.

  • I would not mind this phone as I have 2 older style Motorola but I have been saving up for a iphone 4s so I don't know much about this one and I don't play games all day or sit on twitter but do like to look for things on the net like restaurants and movies, stuff like that.

$11 dearer but you get 24 month australian warranty.

  • Is there any Razr maxxx the same price as this ??

  • Are the DRIOD RAZR's any good? I have not heard anything about them? and this AU stock thing really annoys me, like we don't make them here, they are all imported and KOGAN is an AU supplier that offers AU warranty so what's the big deal? please someone tell me?

    • Warranty differents for AU stock: you can claim at your local Motorola Authorize Repair center, and they only use genuine Motorola parts.

I still don't get it? are you telling me that a company registered in Australia who has to abide by Australian Laws and presumably has to abide by warranty law here in Australia and also under the contract they sign with Motorola to be able to sell the phones here in Australia are actually going to have some backyard repair shop repair any problem I may have with the phone and use non genuine parts to do this while under warranty and braking all the Australian Consumer Law's while they are at it? specially when they are an Australian Company? Please tell me I am wrong?

        • +1

Kogan emphasises that they don't have contractual relationships with manufacturers. They may send your phone overseas for warranty service. I'm not sure about Kogan but you may not be contracting with the Australian company in many cases for drop-shipped products.

Edit: I forgot to answer in the requested manner - You are wrong ;)

Well Kogan is an Australian Registered Company so I can only presume that when I pay my money to an Australian Registered Company that I am protected by Australian Consumer Law. Where they ship from is not really my concern (as I have said, every company selling the Motorola here import them and some may even as you say direct ship from offshore), excepting, I do believe that I am protected by our Consumer Law. As far as I am aware when I click on the site to buy, my VISA Card transaction is by KOGAN and not a third party, again I think or hope this would be covered by our Consumer Law that Kogan can not advertise a product and then take the funds only to bump you off to a third party.. I believe we are better protected than that.

Sorry if I am going overboard, just want to buy the phone at the best price from an Australian retailer, that's all.

        • -3

I do not believe so JBOT do you work for MOBILECITI?

        • +1

          http://www.kogan.com/au/terms-and-conditions/
There is Kogan australia and then there is Kogan HongKong.
Only product with kogan branding are supply by kogan australia.
The rest are supply by kogan HongKong, which is registered in HONGKONG.
When you buy anything from kogan that is not with kogan branding you are not buying from an Australian retailer but a HongKong retailer. You are not paying money to an Australian retailer.
Is this clear enough for you.

Have you purchased anything from Kogan before? If there's an ABN number on the tax invoice then I believe that you are covered with the manufacturers warranty instead of having to deal with Kogan.

Quote from the Motorola Warranty T&C "This limited Warranty is only available in the country where the Product was purchased. Motorola may provide service outside the country of purchase, to the extent that it is possible and under the terms and conditions of the country of purchase."

Oh and thanks JBOT (what ever that means) for the oh so polite and not sarcastic edit. Please enjoy your edit with so much pride

Thank you HIGHDEALER even though your last sentence seemed curt. You would think that people if they wanted to help someone that did not have the information would only comment if they were happy to help and not comment and be bombastic.

Thank you very much MANGOLASSI for the information I appreciate it :) I have bought a set top box and a TV from Kogan before and all came with a TAX invoice.
