Yeah fair call, I got my order in at around 12:14pm so hopefully I was in the early bunch. Since after the original post went through it was gone for about an hour then came back - I think I was one of the first few there lol

He can go buy a second hand non oled switch for under like 300 or even lower if he keeps on eye on ebay.
Hell, I've got all my unpatched switches that I've given to family or sold for under 300.
That'll save the kid a LOT more money than this deal would have.
Just be careful with second hand ones, joycons with drift and battery charging issues is good to look out for. Try and get a used one with warranty.

My 5 year old has gotten a lot of mileage out of Kirby and the Forgotten Land and New Super Mario Bros U Deluxe.
He has tried a few of the online pass games, but there wasn't a lot there that interested him. They also lack the 'easy mode' features that Nintendo puts into their first party titles so kids can find them more accessible.

Yeah, code didn’t work for me unfortunately. I tried several times yesterday and today.
Unfortunately seems to be a 1 day sale only. Earlier on yesterday when the post was put up around 11:04AM, I saw it and jumped in around 11:20AM and the code didn't work either, it wasn't until around 12:04pm it came back and the code was working. It's abit of a hit or miss it seems, but I think the deal was more of a 1 day thing under eBay.

For like 35% off retail - no one really cares… perhaps if you were paying $530 for it I can see the annoyance.
yeah its not a bad deal. I kinda mean you can't sell a Mario Kart special edition without bundling the game itself. You're basically paying for the graphics printed on the controllers.
