isn't really a bargain. Normally it is ~$2.50

    • -1

Show me when it has been ~$2.50 recently?
As far as i can see, the last time it was that low was August 2022, and since then the next lowest price was $2.90 back at the start of October.

  • +8

Matching Woolworths and yes, it's not going to be $2.50 anymore, because the base price went up to $5.80, so yes, there can be a better deal at $2.90.

    Some like it cheap

  • +3

    Not a bargain!

    Not a deal

It's on special and is the cheapest current price - please confirm what you think the definition of deal is?

      • +3

Not negging you but this is Ozbargain, not Ozdeal.

        • +5

Just because it's on special doesn't mean it's worthy of being posted as a deal.

          • @mustkill: Have you seen any of the PS5 deals that get posted on here? I'll be sure to look for your downvote and snarky comments there too, as they surely meet your criteria for unworthiness.

            • @lordezekiel: I didn't intend to come across snarky. It was meant tongue-in-cheek. My apologies.

    4.60 ? Nope.

You stock these up on half price, just like engine oils.

    • I did, then ran out a few weeks ago.

My dad gifted me one of the large 750g jars of this for christmas and now some 30 days later there's barely 1cm worth left at the bottom of the jar. Thus far not a single gram of it has made it to anyone elses mouth or onto a piece of bread as it's just that good.

Can highly recommend but not sure about the health impacts from eating so much in such a short amount of time.

    • Good work! Can you keep at it and let us know in 3 month time?

    • +2

1 whole 750gram jar is roughly 2 days worth of calories for the average man. Over 30 days? You're probably fine.

Peanut butter on a spoon at midnight is a gift from God.

    • You need to get on the Costco train… Skippy PB, 1.8KG for <$10

  • +2

    Bega simply nuts much better.

Nowhere near half price, tbh, I don't think this is a deal. We'll let the community decide.

    • +2

Bega simply nuts is good stuff, my current favorite is Fix & Fogg Peanut Butter Super Crunchy, waiting for either to go on special and stock up

    • +3

Much better? Based on what parameter? Myvers is pretty amazing stuff

      • +1

Taste. Mayvers is ok, nothing special. Pics is ahead of mayvers too.

        • Your personal taste i assume

    • Agree, i got 3 jars of Myvers and nobody will eat it. Tastes like salty butt crack… Not that i'm a salty butt crack expert.

  • +1

The top of the jar is filled with oil (about 5mm thick). When consumed to about half of the jar, the remain is very dry peanut butter. Any tips to make it like a paste throughout? I move to Bega because of this problem.

    • +3

Er, you have to stir it all together.

That's the oil for the entire jar…

    • +3

Lol theres no stabilisers, just smooshed up peanuts and salt. So naturally the oil separates. Give it a good stir with a knife or chopsticks before use.

    • A mixer as pictured here.

    • +2

      Store the jars upside down!

    • Obviously you're forgetting to store it upside down

      Edit: randomdude already spotted this

    • Turn the jar upside-down for a while before opening.

  • Not an ozbargains level deal.
