Is that 250 off all versions of pixel pro? Including the 512, ? And does JB hifi price match this at all?

  • Re Pixel Buds Pro - If I go to the Plus store and go to buy it with points + $ I think it is already at $249.

Does this look the same to anyone else?

Edit: Or will it go cheaper than now on Thursday?

    • +1

Pretty sure the plus store and telstra store are two different shop fronts. At the moment it seems plus has the pro buds on sale. For me it's 4,200 pts + $238. Doubt it will go down on Thursday.

Cheapest Australian stock Pixel 6A I have ever seen

    • I believe Telstra did same price for Black Friday. Such a good price and phone.

  • +1

Was hoping for more than just what the prices were a month ago.
7pro was that price by many seller including Google, Nest hub and mini was this price too.

  • Ohhh hope the Pixel 7 Pro 256GB will also be reduced. With no microSD 128GB is too limiting. Always having to download things to a desktop.

    • +1

Genuinely curious what you use your phone for that requires 256GB? Photos/vids wise I let it auto-clear off the phone into cloud.

Do you play a lot of games or download a lot of local content onto your phone? (Movies, or offline downloads from Streaming apps?)

      • +1

I'm in areas where the cloud is not always an option, so most things stay on the phone. I do have around 5,000 photos and typically around 10-15GB of music (once again can't stream too often, so store on the phone), videos are the biggest culprit of having to move to external storage, even though I don't really take a great deal at all.

I do also shoot important things in raw, so large file sizes. Though move those off to process in Lightroom classic and put a jpg back in it's place.

        No games whatsoever.

        • Fair enough! Thanks for the reply.

    • Curious on this as well! Hoping it's not just the 128gb model!

    • Turn an old pc into a personal cloud storage

    • 256GB is $1199

  • $2 for 2 months nbn?

  • Wish they had a decent deal, like when I got my S21 for $624

  • Will Google Store price match this ya reckon?

  • Have any of the Pixel 6a OzBargainers been experiencing rapid battery drain + heating issues?

    • Not me - had the 6a for a few weeks now, been all fine.

      • Thanks for that - I am not sure if it is normal for it to lose 10% in about 20-30mins of web browsing / reading ABC news

  • For anyone without a Telstra ID, and who isn't inclined to get one. Google Pixel 6a available from Clove.co.uk for $446 (+$67) delivery: $513.

    • +2

      $508 from Dick Smith.

  • Any deals on Pixel watch LTE?

  • Why Pixel 6a not Pixel 7?

    • +2

Because they want you to buy the 7 Pro

  • +4

Any way to get pro for cheaper than this?

  • +2

Waiting for the $80 belong sim to be back at 2,000 points

  • Are these the same Nest products that were much cheaper in last Feb's Telstra day? Or new versions?

      Nice round number.

  • After the marathon run of iPhone 12 mini yesterday, there's little hope left for phone deals.

  • How is it different from/better than this one for $479?

Do these people dont sell here in Australia (like Mobilciti) and have the same warranty related terms and conditions for units sold in Australia i.e 2 Years?

    • +2

Per the comments looks like that one is only 1 year warranty. I'll pay the 20 for 2 years methinks. Probably easier to deal with Telstra TBH anyway.. Can walk into a store if needed.

45% off is quite decent. Maybe a sign of more deals to come. I know it's in the US, but you never know.

  • I don't have a Telstra ID if I get a $2 sim at Coles how quick will it take to activate an account?

  • Had to reverify my ID but smooth sailing apart from that

    • do you have an active Telstra Service?

      • yes my mobile

        • +1

I purchased a Sim activated and have had no success in purchasing the phone

  • Great deal! I ordered a phone, I notice it says ID required on delivery. Can a family member sign for it and show their ID? I will probably be at work when it arrives.

    • It was sent by StarTrack Airlock, so only the named addressee can sign for it, other people at the address are not able to. Will have to go to the post office to collect it with ID.

  • Saying they need more ID for me and I can only do that instore. Lame

  • Says i need a plan evn for outright

    • Also getting this message when trying to buy the Pixel 6a

      • Samw here

        • I managed to buy outright without a plan (at 2am)

          • @spa: Do you have any active telstra service?

  • Has anyone been able to order the 7 pro through outright? I've tried on 2 different accounts, different color and browsers but I keep getting a something went wrong message after verifying my identification and address.

  • +1

Officeworks declined a pricematch over the phone.

    • Thanks for saving my time as i was on hold to them

      • Might still be able to get it price matched, depending on who answers the phone.

Looks like all staff received a notice not to price match Telstra. :(

        • Oh well

  • Will the price on the Telstra Plus rewards store reflect the same?

    • it does not

      • +1

Looks like they made the change so it's now discounted on the Rewards store.

  • Warning..

If you make a mistake like I did and try to cancel an order apparently you can't!!! Spent 2hrs in the early morning trying to get an order cancelled so I could re place it.. 'it's past the point of no return and you need to reject delivery'…. I placed the order 20mins prior.

That's some speedy robots Telstra has. (still don't quite understand why I can't cancel an order.. Every other online system or store allows it if done quick enough..) sigh

    • @ReaperX22 couldn't find what your mistake was in your previous comments. Maybe I missed it. If you don't mind can you explain what it was or give a link to your comment.

      • Didn't give a link/reply to my comment.. (edit, this was for the pixel buds pro not a phone fyi)

I ordered via the link above for the buds pro but remembered (only after of course) I've got Telstra points and wondered if I could use them, sure enough I could to save even more.

So I tried to cancel the order - turns out orders 'outright' directly from the website which are not mobiles and not via telstra rewards do NOT go through the same system as those done via those outlets.. So the people on chat 'Couldn't see my order' then said my best option was to reject delivery lol. Come on.

Anyway actually spoke to a person today and after some time they were able to find the order via 'back of house team' or something via the other order system and put a cancellation through.. Still warning there's a low chance it MAY still get sent though. Zz.

  • Can this be bought directly from a Telstra store at the discounted price today?

  • I managed to convince Officeworks to price match the Pixel 7 Pro. Just steer them to the "Happy Telstra Day" promotional page.

  • Anyone see if JB would pricematch?

    • I tried two stores, and both wouldn't price match Telstra. :(

  • +2

Just got it price beat from Officeworks, paid $474.05. Told the guy I wanted a price beat on a phone and he asked "Pixel 6A?" Didn't even ask me to show the Telstra page which I had already logged into and had it ready in case they tried to not honour it. This was Campbellfield store (VIC).

    I just looked at their T&C - https://www.officeworks.com.au/information/policies/price-be…

What is excluded from the Price Beat Guarantee?
Cashback and coupon offers (i.e. supplier cashback or reduced price available via paper coupon or electronic codeword)
Commercial quantities and pricing (i.e. a reduced price not available to the public and including Apple Reseller Education pricing.)
Stock liquidations (i.e. competitor clearance products or goods sold by a business placed into receivership)
We reserve the right to limit sales to reasonable retail quantities.

I couldn't find anything referring to 'member prices'. If they claim not available to public, I would disagree and say I am public.

    • I just got a no straight away for a price match unfortunately.

    • I remember a couple years ago there was a pixel 6 for sale on Telstra day and I tried to price match at Officeworks. Most ballsy/relentless I've ever been with a price match request. Needless to say they didn't honour it, because "you had to have an account to buy it".

  • +1

Pixel 7 pro Update on Officeworks. I just went to the store and showed the website, which he scrolled through for a bit, but then pricematched.
    I paid $996.55

    • How did you get that price? Is that with the 5% price beat?

      • I think a memo has gone around. They refused to price match for me, citing the need for Telstra plan.

        • Yeah no matching for me either unfortunately.

      • Yes with 5% off. He checked all the details and then put through. Was at Epping officeworks Vic

  • +1

Have been trying to get pixel 6a from the morning, it kept on saying i needed a plan.
Finally confirmed with customer service, We need at least a postpaid plan or home internet service which is 6 months old or above to qualify for device outright purchase.

    • This seems consistent with what i'm experiencing. Bought a $2 prepaid sim and setup a Telstra ID, but am unable to purchase a Pixel 6a.

  • +1

    Just got 2 6A - $948.10 Oficeworks pricematched Telstra then 5% discount.

    • Which officeworks?

      • Been out, sorry for late reply - Cairns

  • damn, Google doesn't price match Telstra

  • +1

I requested a price match from the Google Store.

The customer service representative stated that Telstra are not listed as an Authorized Retailer of Google products in Australia.

As of today, the following stores are:
    Bunnings
    Harvey Norman
    JB Hi-Fi
    Officeworks
    The Good Guys

I'm unsure if this has been reported here before but thought that it's relevant information to consider before purchasing from Telstra.

    • Bunnings? lol

      • Bunning is moreso for the Google Home products rather than phones

  • +2

It's a no from both Officeworks Melbourne CBD stores. Existing Telstra customers or plan purchase. Staff are all over it.

    • I am a existing customer

      • That's nice.

Please let us know as a "loyal Telstra customer", how you get on at your local Officeworks.

      • Check my post 8 above

Officeworks North Ryde has one Pixel 7 Pro (Snow colour) in stock. Price beat $996.55

  • My Officeworks wouldn't price match it. Nothing about the ID number, they had a bogus excuse about Telstra only being plans, no outright option desite me showing them the outright purchase option. They wouldn't budge.

  • I want to grab one but cant use my points to take a chunk off the price. Kinda sucks.

    • Found out how, had to go through the store on the app and select to use points to enter a seperate store section with it.

  • Unable to price match at Officeworks Werribee (VIC), stating Telstra offer needs a plan to go with it.

    • Yeah, I just bought through Amazon for $474 delivered. Might take longer to turn up, but meh, cheaper for a phone that'll let several years worth it

  • JB on Elizabeth St matched the pixel 7 pro for me.

  • +1

    My 6a has been dispatched.

  • I got a price beat at an office works store for the Google pixel 7 pro of $996.55

  • Was able to checkout as “Guest”. Didn’t need a Telstra ID.

  • Bought 2 things. No option to add to cart. Have to check out immediately when you select the item and go through check out twice!!
    Bloody poor UX…

  • +2

Go to Officworks before they shut at 9pm. The young kids didn't ask many questions. Show the Telstra page and checkout for $996.55.

Worth the trip. Officeworks Geelong CBD.

  • Booyah! Late night officeworks visit for price match worked for me for 6a!. Called them this morning (same store) and the person checked with the manager who said no - need telstra number. National officeworks number also said no. Chanced the store visit at 8:30pm, the checkout checked with another checkout, then with the evening manager….directed them to telstra site and despite reading through they gave the ok. $474 or there abouts..Victory!

Got mine already, also ordered 2 sets of earbuds but had to be ordered separately, no option to go back once item listed in Checkout. 3 Packages turned up in post office just south of Townsville within 24 hrs of being ordered. Where being processed in the Sydney Startrek facility at 7:40 the night of order. Very suprised and happy.
