  • A lot cheaper on Ali - with coupons and tax around 441 and that's the 8/256 X5 Pro

    • I don't suppose you know if the Ali version perfectly in Aus? no issues with networks or banking apps etc?

    • From what I can see, the price you mention is ex-tax. It's approx A$500 including GST

  • +1

8GB version is over priced, 6GB isn't badly priced.

  • Bit pricey, wait til prices go down for the Pro. At the moment seems very F4 price

    • +1

do they really go down in price reasonably quickly? I rmb seeing increased price after they introduce the 'premiere' discounted price for new launches

  • It's so sad that so few Xiaomi/Poco phones seem to get wireless charging. Not necessarily a must-have feature, but a convenience I'd expect on a top-end phone.

    • Its one way for them to keep the price down i suppose.

    • But the X5 is no where near a top-end phone.

  • +4

It would've been nice if they kept doing what they started with the poco X3 pro.

No frills and fantastic performance specs all around. I probably would've opted for the 8gb version of the X3 pro at an extra ~$30 had i known they would go down this route in future iterations.

    • Yeah exact same situation as me, anyone have any other suggestions?

      • realme 10 pro seems to be the value prop

  • +3

no sdcard slot which is a bummer…

  • +2

It's cheaper on AliExpress including tax and delivery.

    • I don't suppose you know if the Ali version perfectly in Aus? no issues with networks or banking apps etc?

      • +1

It's the global version so exactly same specs as the one listed above. Should work perfectly fine.

I've bought my Xiaomi Mi 11 off aliexpress before, still going strong, only issue is no warranty. Never had to use it myself but it's a gamble with anything bought from overseas.

  • +1

Would the 5G be compatible with the Australian network?

  • beware these are not the pro versions.
Pro 6bg is approx $418 delivered with GST on ali

  • way cheaper on aliexpress

  • For the non-pro version, isn't the price similar to this: https://spectronic.com.au/product/xiaomi-poco-x5-256gb-8gb-r…
except that you get an Australian-based warranty? (Disclaimer - I have not used spectronic before for any purchases so dont know what they're like).

  • Can you mark this deal as expired? X5 Pro is now $600 and coupon has expired.
