    From the YouTube reviews I've seen, the Samsung SmartTags are better for tracking.
    Strange, as I would have thought the iPhone network is bigger than the Samsung Galaxy network

      Hard to compare when the Galaxy/Iphone split is probably different in Australia when compared to the US.

        Mostly overseas including US.
        Part of point of these is to use them for international travel.
        If you are using it to track your TV remote control it could be a different story.

    If using to track kids backpacks whilst at school, how long is the duration until it starts beeping because it's away from it's home device (in my case, an ipad at home).

    Google says 8-12h, but would love some confirmation of that from real world users.

      The unit won't beep. But you will get a notification on your iPad that the Airtag is "left behind", about 300-500 metres away maybe.

        orders not delivering for so long, abrupt cancellation and to top it all, poor customer service. they dont advertise the actual stock and often over-sell. Pls see some comments from the last digidirect deals. we get roped in with these deals just to get disappointed again and again.

      I think every sale automatically raises a ticket in whatever CRM system it is.

      Happened last time I ordered from them as well. Probably some kind of manual review before shipping to give them a chance to cancel all the price errors they make lol.

    Bought the airtags and a USB-A to lightning cable from these guys.
    They oversold the cables so now my order is stuck, and have been through 3 different support members to try and get an equivalent order.

    Be careful with these as they don't advertise out of stock and when it is, its a nightmare to get it across the line to delivery. I even paid for express.

      Have you asked for refund? I had tried cancelling before with no problem. Similar issue, bought 2 stuff and 1 item was in backorder. So did a partial refund. Does take a bit as it needs to be looked by certain customer service team (ie. can't just get it done over the phone). But got my money back eventually and collected the other item.
