Updates: To all Ozbargainers,

We are experiencing a delay in the delivery of our gaming computers, which was caused by a lack of manpower, an influx of orders, logistics issues, and product availability problems. We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience and time losses that you may have experienced as a result of this delay.

To address these issues, we have implemented a series of measures. Firstly, we have provided simpler and clearer upgrade options to expedite order processing and better meet your needs. Additionally, we are continuously increasing our workforce, strengthening our cooperation with suppliers, and improving logistics efficiency to reduce the delivery time of orders. We are also continually improving our workflows to increase production efficiency and quality control, thus providing better products and services.

Furthermore, we now offer direct component shipping services to reduce the delivery time and with a further discount (the case will not be included).

Choosing so will reduce the dispatch time to 5 business days or less.

Regarding the issue of component availability for our gaming computers, we are continuously working on improving our business systems. In rare cases, we may encounter delays in the availability of certain components, which can result in overselling some parts. We make every effort to obtain the original components. However, if they are not available, we will use equivalent or higher-grade products that have similar or higher costs. We also offer dynamic component upgrades, such as motherboard or solid-state drive upgrades.

The problem is that we lack communication with our customers, which prevents them from understanding what their machine has gone through. Our back-end systems are still being improved, and during this period, we rely entirely on human communication, which is an area that needs significant improvement.

We would also like to address an issue related to QC with our gaming computers. Due to policies, we only provide Windows installation services if customers have purchased a Windows activation key. For customers who have not purchased a Windows activation key, we will use our external hard drive to test the system. Once the testing is completed, we will send the computer to the customer in its original state. We will continue to improve our quality control to ensure that our products meet your expectations.

We highly value your criticism and advice, and we will continue to provide you with continuously improved services and products.

Ozbargainers and stores are complementary to each other. Users continuously provide straight forward feedback which is very helpful, while stores continuously absorb and improve their products and services based on this feedback. This is also one of the reasons why we trust this platform. In an open and honest platform, our mistakes are immediately exposed, and we can quickly learn how to improve.

If you have any questions or suggestions regarding this matter, please feel free to contact us, and we will do our best to serve you.

Once again, we apologize for any inconvenience caused and thank you for your understanding.

Sincerely

Damn, really disheartening to read all the bad reviews, was looking to buy a rig from bpc since they are close to my house. Going to steer clear until they get their act together.

  • +1

Waiting for a TechFast deal now.

    • +6

      Wait for an Enigma deal

TechFast were installing Gigabyte PSU's into builds 6+ months after they were exposed as being dangerous with bad QC and potential explosive behaviour

More of these cases will surface as the units progressively fail

      • +1

Yep Luke was pretty dismissive of the fact that the PSUs were faulty and said how they haven't had any issues.

  • +3

Funny thing is all the returns and hassles with clients will juat increase time for next peoples orders to go out.
False economy not doing proper QA

  • +8

Wow, crazy to see the backlash on here….. Wait time… yeh 3-4 weeks is long but I can compromise, but half-arsing the QC is just a no no.

    • +4

Not just half-arsing the QC but I'm missing a fan, got a different motherboard (technically an upgrade, but worth mentioning), and different but worse RAM that is potentially defective. There's a lot more going on than just long build times and little-to-no quality control.

      • +3

Judging by the high dependency of pre orders and ozbargain, i wouldnt order anything at the risk of the company winding up and not being able to get money back or claim warranty.

4 weeks is suspicious to the point of using the money to trade before going insolvent

        • I wouldn't say there is a significant dependance. They have been trading for many years and it's a known company. I'd say that they didn't prepare for such a surge in fulfilment as lots of computer parts like GPU have become cheaper.

Customer service is very important to me for addressing warrenty claims.

  • Yeah no wouldn’t recommend. Ordered 23 Feb and have been told it’ll be completed next week a few times now. Didn’t get a parts reserved email until I chased them up about it. Find out Windows OS is not installed anymore despite me emailing right after I placed the order to confirm it would be - sure I’ll accept that things have changed since I ordered but I had to confirm that with them only after seeing several comments on here about it. A total lack of communication from them about order progress. At this point I’m just praying I don’t get a messed up build especially since I’m not in VIC and the back and forth posting will be a nightmare to deal with.

  • My goodness, it's unbelievable reading all the horror stories in this thread. You always get the good with the bad in any situation and I'm sure there are plenty of happy customers who got their builds without issue, but the myriad of problems brought up here is simply indefensible. I sincerely hope everyone who had the immense misfortune of receiving a lemon gets a happy ending with HEAVY reimbursements by way of upgrades or monetary compensation soon, because they won't be able to do business on OzBargain until further notice, thanks to the PR nightmare of their own doing.

  • If BPC was a bank, they wouldn't be SVB but they are heading down that track

BPC's lack of build staff is now causing delays with general sales and RMA enquries

And all the parts from these rejected and returned builds, calling it out now so the BPC social team can warn management - do not start selling "open box" and "as new" parts as "Brand New"

I've had no issues with my orders.. :) will be buying from them again.

    • Nice try store rep.

      • LOL.. Yes i joined in 2009 and posted 5,000+ comments and heaps of deals just go upvote BPC today

I've had no issues with my orders. Maybe I'm lucky. I got a Z690 board delivered from them within 4 days from Melbourne to Sydney.. pretty quick.

        • It was just a joke :)

  • +2

Can we get a ban on the store until the issues are per previous comments are resolved?

  • Sounds like lots of issues .

    Techfast it is?

    • +2

Try Enigma, they are the only ones who have advertised limited # of builds to ensure they can meet demand, @enigmapc

  • Wow. I was considering buying an ITX build from them but based on the comments I guess I'll wait. Thanks for the awareness everyone who commented.

Any ideas if it'll be better/faster to just get parts from them for a build and assemble it myself?

I was mainly considering them because I've bought from Techfast before and they were really slow. Thought I could just pick up from their store since they are Melbourne based.

    • I was looking at the techfast deal w the ryzen 5500 and 6700xt

i don't know whar to do now.

      • +2

Maybe you should deal with whatever made you type this comment son.

        • Ah yeah idk i was pretty cooked.

          Tiresd and stressed from stuff.

What do you think I mean what should i decide to buy thou

The bpc tech deal can be good but comments are telling me not to lol

an rtx 3060 ti would be good cuz cuda

rx 6700xt is like amd but my experience w rx xfx 6600 xt has turned me off completely

  • +3

    Bye bye BPC

  • +1

oh no BPC look how many people you've pissed off!

  • +6

Neg to help bring awareness to these issues. They shouldn't be posting new deals until they can fulfill previous deals orders. Was going to buy a pc from these guys for my son but not after hearing about the poor business practices.

  • +4

    Wow

Was actually thinking of buying my next PC from these guys

But won’t be due to the several consistent issues that a few people have mentioned

  • +5

Shameful to see that the BPC Tech rep hasn't bothered to engage the complaints and provide some update or assurance on what they're doing to rectify the issues. Not a company I'd want to hand over thousands of dollars to.

    • +1

Absolutely spot on… I purchased during COVID September 2021 with several issues with my build…
QC is rubbish… It is clearly not done… They over commit themselves & just slap it together & move onto the next as they have your money…
Clearly shows that in 18 months since my purchase nothing has changed…

  • +9

    BPC TECH Rep…

Are you reading these comments ???
Will you fix QC ??? Clearly have not since I purchased my PC through you guys in 2021 & nothing has changed.
Stop advertising until you have caught up as you are infuriating your customers.

    It's not that hard… Surely…

  • +5

What is more disappointing is not a mouse fart of sound from BPC…. at least Luke explains the issues.. sometimes.

  • +1

Can BPC just send parts for us to self assemble? I'd consider that to get around the delays and QC issues.

  • +3

Similar to others here, I'm into week 5 of waiting. No updates unless I ring and wait on hold. Told "next week" a number of times. Parts 'reserved' after a call weeks go. Pretty hopeless and no real offer of compensation or apology.

  • So seeing all the bad comments here is there any other VIC based company that can do a competitive price like BPC? Aftershock is just too expensive 😫

  • +3

    DM from BPC, still waiting to hear about the memory issues;

    Hi mojadu,

Thanks for your honest comment. We really appreciate the criticism and advice that this community provides.

We provided an upgrade for the motherboard for compensation, it was totally our fault that we did not inform you about the changes in the parts.

We would like to provide you with a further $29 store credit instead of a freebie, so you can use this credit to purchase the listed products on our website that you actually need.

Also, we will be posting our solutions to resolve these issues soon.

    Regards,
    BPC Team

    1. A total of 68 "+" so far, has anyone had a good BPC buying experience??? Really curious.

    2. I also think that if BPC can't install Win, they should at least install free Linux to ensure that the hardware is at least bootable.
Otherwise, if there is a hardware issue, we need to send it back again, which is too torturous.

  • +1

Although I have no connection to BPC, I feel a little responsible for some of the issues, seeing as I had been posting deals they had. Hopefully they pull their thumbs out and get this stuff sorted out.

    • +3

Don't blame yourself, you have done great for this community. The issue is them and they need to answer for that. Or else I think our votes would have to cause a store rep ban

    • +1

Definitely not your fault. People are on this site for good deals, not good customer service. Its entirely their fault and theirs alone.

  • Auspost lost my $300 keyboard from BPC, hope BPC takes care of it if it can't be found.

  • +2

    @BPC Technology

"Furthermore, we now offer direct component shipping services to reduce the delivery time and with a further discount (the case will not be included).

Choosing so will reduce the dispatch time to 5 business days or less."

What will be the price for this deal if I choose direct component shipping? Will all the components be in their unopened original packaging? How do I order? Thanks.

    • +3

Also want to know if components are in original packaging and we’re not getting refurbished stuff. I also already have a GPU so having their GPU unopened in box will help increase resale value.

Looking at their website there is a dropdown option to select parts only. You get $30 bucks off which I’m guessing is their cost price for the case.

      • Yeah be wary if that; PC I bought off them; got the box for everything but the GpU. Guess which part failed on day 1..?

        • Interesting, I got the box for MOBO and GPU, and from my tests, it looks like MOBO failed. However, I noticed the GIGABYTE B650 AORUS ELITE has about a 10% DOA rate if you look on Amazon and the reviews had the same issues I had, but everyone managed to get further than I did. But when that MOBO works, apparently it's awesome (just it hates you doing anything in the BIOS if it doesn't agree)! GIGABYTE also need to kick their ass into gear re QC!

        • Was your PC prebuilt? If they are shipping just the parts, then I'm expecting almost everything to come in sealed packaging (especially things like CPU, MOBO, GPU). I know things like RAM they can get in bulk packs so may not have individual packaging but that's lower value so not as stressed.

          • @cuokuo: I picked up so everything was installed in the case; got the boxes separately

  • What makes something a Gaming PC? Seems these specs from 2 years ago are good for the price, but could potentially disappoint in the latest titles.

    • for this budget price i think "potentially disappointing in latest titles" is completely fair

  • +3

I feel like the update is just that…maybe im being too harsh…but it doesn't seem to be present that quite a few people who have purchased systems from you are still and unhappy. I can't see anywhere in your response that they will achieve rectification and it certainly doesn't provide me with enough information or understanding that my next system will be purchased through yourselves?
Can you respond in more detail or at least address the specific concerns of people who have made these allegations against you?

    • +1

They responded to my DM and gave me a $29 store credit for the missing fan. They asked me to contact their warranty department regarding the RAM, who have responded fairly quickly to their credit. I've completed some testing and emailed them back. They did say they would send me a new kit of ram to install and test and if it passes, I will return the not-so-good ram to them. If that works out, I will consider us even in terms of the build itself as I will technically have everything I wanted upon purchasing. I'll still be miffed about the comms and length of time to actually get the thing though.

      • Thanks so much! This is the info I'm after. I live remote, so when I purchase i want to know it can be handled quickly.

        • +1

lol quickly is not at all how I would describe this

  • +2

I read this thread and don't feel the need to watch a horror movie for weeks.

  • -4

Item sold out because if was a crazy good deal.

  • +1

ended up buying this. I will keep people updated. on another note would this be enough to play Hogwarts legacy? lol

    • +1

Tag me in your updates. I wanna see if they will improve. My laptop with 5800H and 3060 was able to run Hogwarts @ 100-120hz Medium settings, so I imagine you'll be fine.

      • Ordered on the 29th March at 10pm, just received update email with parts reserved.

  • Wondering if anyone can help me, I received my PC today and am trying to install Windows but during setup it says it can't find any drives. When I check the settings no models are detected in the SATA or M2 ports. I unfortunately know nothing about building PCs so the problem is I don't even know where to find the SSD to see whether it's been installed correctly or not or if something else is the issue here.

    • What do you mean when you check the "settings". When you boot into bios, does it show any ssd's installed? Btw there shouldnt be any SATA storage as this build has a M.2 SSD. Also, when did you put your order in? I'm still waiting for mine to arrive and I asked for just parts

    • +2

You can use youtube to help trouble shoot on how to install windows…

With the PC your using now you need to create a windows 10 or windows 11 windows USB install drive.

Just google - Create installation media for Windows and download it from Microsofts website. to setup your USB stick

Once you've got the windows install USB created… you put it into your NEW PC … and if you can press F2 of F12 or delete to get into bios…..you need to try and get the PC to boot from USB disk first to start the install process

( in the bios you should see 1st boot device… the usb stick is what you want.. maybe its named Sandisk or whatever the usb brand is called :) Once done.. save and exit

      • Thanks for this, keeping my comment here for when I get mine back!
