I wonder if the failed trade ID is because JB are finally catching up to all the peeps that have pulled a dodgy previously.
EG: Got the bonus credit but cancelled the trade in afterwards. Cancelled a phone contract with early termination just to get a discount handset.

  yes, had a tradein last year, decided to keep it, they blocked the ID from another deal as the earlier one is stuck in transaction. You can try to cancel the tradein (they may not block your transaction then) though not sure.

  That’s what happened to me. Wasn’t able to apply the trade-in voucher ($90 in my case), so paid $489 after applying the $500 bonus voucher.
  Am now not to sure what to do. Will not be sending old device as I didn’t receive the trade-in discount against the purchase.

Thoughts on selecting wrong description on trade in phone. EG have a SE 2020 phone, $120 trade in credit. However cracked screen has $0 trade in credit.

  Probably wont make a difference as you would be charged the $120 trade in credit. If your description doesnt match the condition.

  I will consider this because of trade-in bonus. Although it seems low ($240 + $500) is not bad, generally if you describe your mobile correctly, then no issue at all.

For those that previously had success with live chat price matches, how does it work? Do they send you a special link page where you can check out as per normal with the discounted price, and then you can apply your vouchers?         @Bargain-er: You're essentially trading in for a slightly better CPU whereas major downgrading everything else…. battery, camera, screen, ram, dex. Seems like the worst trade of all time… If you're swapping for a normal s21 that wouldn't be too far off but s21 ultra is a dud deal.

  Yeh I couldn't get it to work either and now my nearest store is sold out of the variant I wanted. Am guessing by tomorrow morning all stores near me will be out by then as well.
  
  Ahh well, think god is just saying that the incoming Flip 5 will be a better device anyway so maybe missing out is not such a bad thin in the long run. I do like the idea of a full sized front screen if rumours are correct.

    This way is easier. Since I got them to price match Amazon's $899 price for the 256GB, which saved another $90, I'm happy to accept that I miss the $30. (Not the OzBargain way, I know)
    Was going to do local pickup, but they're out of stock after all the delays getting a price match. Have to pay an extra $5.99 for delivery and wait until Wednesday.
    Overall, I paid $134.99 to upgrade my 128GB Flip 3 to a 256GB Flip 4. I'll call that a win.

  Yes just did it. You get a coupon for the value of the tradein and then in an email it asks if you want a bonus coupon for the device.
  The bonus coupon seems to be part of a different scheme (telco), so not sure if they are doing it correctly or just lazy coupons.
  I got $100 for my apple watch, tbh I may want to keep it as kids can use it. Wonder if I have to shell out for the bonus coupon as well if its used.

    update, so when i asked about the process to cancel, they cancelled my order and charged me the tradein coupon. not sure if they will charge the 500, will definitely fight it as (a) that bonus is not really $500 as it is limited in use and (b) never asked for cancellation. I don't think it will come to that as they emailed saying they deleted my credit card details…

    Geoblocking does not guarantee the lack of breach. Heck im overseas and still allowed to work remotely by using work VPN.
    
    Really the geoblock should only happen at the home delivery address itself.
    
    The squareup website is even still accessible until the part where you enter your IMEI.

      If you know someone in Australia, easiest method is to ask them to enter the IMEI and have the code emailed to you. Not sure if you'll be able to make the purchase on jb website however.

I did the trade-in for my S21 Ultra 256 GB last night for $400, no email yet.
Tried login into Squretradeup - coming as "This Email address is blocked" when I try to log in.

First time doing a trade-in, I bought this from S21 Ultra from JB a couple of years back.

Tried using a different email address and now this IMEI is blocked and can't be used to trade-in.

Has anyone else had a similar issue?
