[eBay Plus] Xiaomi Viomi A9 Handheld Cordless Vacuum Cleaner $145.16 Delivered @ Allphones eBay

1310
PWE22TECHSAVER

For the eBay Plus weekend is a new record low on the Viomi A9 vacuum cleaner and beating the previous deal. I've had mine for over a year and it works really well on carpet and my hardwood floor. I don't even need it to run on the highest setting either and the battery is still going strong. Certainly a lot better than my old Dyson V8.

Featuring 23000Pa suction, 3 power modes, 4 brush heads (soft roller, 2-in-1 dusting, crevice & mini motorhead) and a removable battery.

Great price for a great vaccum

    • +2

Works ok I guess but not great, owned it about a year now but suction is not that hard enough to pickup small particles. Max power only last roughly 5 mins .

      • How often does it run on Max power? Max power wear out the battery quicker.

      • on these cordless vacs max power usually only last 8 mins or so

usually you'd run it on low or medium, only when that isn't enough you'd blip it to the higher power

if you suction doesn't suck then your foam and metal filters are clogged

  • Really need a new vacuum but know nothing about them. My Dyson v8 has gotten so bad that it's full battery drains in under 20 seconds. Any recommendations for this one?

    • This one is about the same as a Dyson V7 in terms of performance. Had one for years still going strong.

    • for $145 its a good get - grabbed one last week and quite impressed

    • +4

I bought new battery from Dyson website for my v7, and now its new again. Others also bought a Dyson batter adapter for Ryobi/Dewalt/Makita battery, this option give a longer power life to the vacuum.

      • Others also bought a Dyson batter adapter for Ryobi/Dewalt/Makita battery

Didn't know this was possible! Will investigate.

        • Find battery adapter on Amazon or eBay. Only found out it's possible after I bought the new battery off Dyson.

    • Your current vac is probably better then this. Just replace the battery.

    • +1

      Just get a new battery.

    • +1

The battery on this one will.last approx 10 minutes on full power mode and don't expect extraordinary results from lower power levels.

    • Just keep an eye on the wear on the tiny wheels on motorized head, especially if you have wooden floors. Apparently, it starts scraping wooden floor after being worn out, as per comment from previous post.

  • @Clear assume the 'Soft velvet direct drive roller brush' is fine on timber floors (no scratching)?

    • +1

it seems very soft and fluffy, no issues on my laminate flooring

  • +2

I brought this last week for $152ish.

Replaced a broken Dyson V6. Very impressed with it, especially how quiet it is.

Battery easily lasted the whole house, picked up plenty of fine dust, has a cool light on the front that makes it easier to see gubbons on wood floors and tiles.

Also has a button instead of trigger, bit easier on the hand over 20-30 minutes.

For $145 this is a very good buy

    • I terms of suction. Is it strong?

      • +1

I think it is, seems on par or better than my V6.

    • Define ‘whole house’

      • 27 square metre, 4 bedroom, 2 living

        • 27? Damn son that's out bedroom size

  • Cordless is good but how can you prevent dusts everywhere when you need to empty it?

    • +2

Empty it outside over a bin is usually enough for me

      • I did help somebody empty it before but still can't prevent dusts all over myself.

        • +7

          Skill issue.

        • Recommended to do it on a non-windy day so the dust goes straight down into the bin. Keen away from your body so any bits only go onto your arms.

If it is a windy day… same as above, but stand upstream of the wind :P

    • +1

      Left handed? I struggle too

    • +2

I always empty just before I shower and then put my clothes in with a load of washing after

    • You use a bagged vacuum like a Miele to empty it. Grins

      • Like solar torch, can only use with sunlight 😆

  • Does this stack withe shopback ebay deal?

    • +1

Don’t think so cos of the $5 tech saver code

  • When will it be ready later today? [I can see "Later today" in the title]

    • Usually 10:00 AEST

      Based on this.

  • Does this vacuum cleaner work well with hardwood floors? Does it scratch them? Any metal components on the main head that might scratch the floors?

    • +1

Not that I can see, seems soft and fluffy. It worked fine on my laminate floors.

    • +1

I'll give you a hack for hardwood floors

      come closer

      use a broom!

      • A broom ? May as well just push dust around the house.

        • ooh, dust. I'm probably going to die then

    • +1

Use a microfiber mop and throw it in the washing machine afterwards. I do remem using a hoover cyclone on hardwood floors many years ago, that didn't scratch and costs a 1/3 of this on sale - good vac that was - R.I.P.

  • How's the performance on carpet floor?

  • Is battery replaceable to this Xiaomi item? ta

    • Yes. But costs almost same as the vacuum cleaner.

  • bought, thanks

  • I bought this same exact model around $152-157 few weeks ago…. feels get robs

    • So did we. It's 10$ - eventually every1 gets robbed on everything!

  • Does anyone know how this compares to Dreame?

  • Our 2.5 year old Dreame V9's battery is pretty clapped out now. It works well enough, but not for long.
Should I try and source a new battery or just get this?

EDIT: Looks like Dreame batteries are non-existant.
I'm tempted to get a cheap Dyson and one of the Makita/Ozito/whatever battery converters.

  • Just be aware you won't be able to find replacements accessories easily… Nowhere you can buy them in Australia.

    • +3

Buy two and it works out cheaper than parts from AliExpress.

      • Was looking at the other day for a good 1hr+ diff sites and 2nd buy was the best option lol. You could probably sell parts of the vac online to re-coup some costs too!

    • +1

filters are on ebay, and a good use for ebay plus $5 coupons

    • +2

I love the Miele, I happily drag it around to get a good deep clean. Wife loves the convenience of the cordless though.
Anyway, its a great pair IMO.

  • Stack with this deal for $132 OzBargain price? Already bought without seeing this though lol

    • You can get a free eBay Plus trial, or make a new account if it's already been used

  • +1
