Given that only a tiny minority seem to have actually received this offer (like many above I didn't get it on any of my various Amex cards), I can't help but wonder if excluding the vast majority from the best offers may actually be counter-productive for Amex. I.e. maybe dong so functions to turn peeps off using their Amex cards day-to-day. It certainly has that effect on me.
