Hi all, we have another batch of EX MINING GPUs arrived. Mainly RX 6800/6800XT. Different from what we got previously, this batch was mined in a dust free, temperature controlled data centre for around half year before shutting down. All of them are in new condition but no origianl box or other accessories. We will provide one year warranty on them. All the models are listed below, including some decent ones.

Sapphire Radeon RX 6800 NITRO+ $519
Sapphire Radeon RX 6800 XT Pulse $579 Sold Out
GIGABYTE Radeon RX 6800 XT GAMING OC $579
Asus TUF Radeon 6800 XT OC $599 Sold Out
ASRock Radeon RX 6800 XT Phantom Gaming $599 Sold Out
MSI Radeon RX 6800 XT GAMING Z TRIO $599 Sold Out

Personally will recommend the Phantom Gaming and GAMING Z TRIO, very solid quality.

Enjoy the long weekend!
Cheers,
Jun

  • Hey guys, I received the card, For the most part looks ok, but on the end part of the card (furthest part from the connections end), there seems to be a lot of corrosion or splotchy marks on the metal / heatsink. Is this normal?

    • Can you show a photo?

      • I took a picture, can i just up it to ozbargain or i need to put it somewhere else?

        • imgur

          • @cyrax83: https://imgur.com/a/WDgZJqq

Not a great photo . But those marks are on that whole metal part. Top to bottom

            • @lonewolf: Not too sure what that is. Does it wipe off?

              • @cyrax83: nah, i tried, it doesnt wipe off. Its like its corroded into the metal.

                • +1

@lonewolf: Looks like a bit of oxidation. I wouldn't worry. Aluminium will do that. Won't effect it's ability to cool the card.

    • That's what a "like new" card looks like according to MetroCom.

  • Got my 6800xt pulse last week, looks absolutely spotless, couldn't find anything through the fin stack. No dents or anything either. For the other comments in here, even if the packaging box is undamaged the item inside can still be damaged (the popular 4k 32" phillips monitor I got turned out that way). Just contact the seller to get it sorted out.

An hour of furmark at ~320w only peaked at 70c at 40% fan speed which I can't hear even without headphones since it's under my desk. I funnily enough used a miner to stress test the vram which peaked at 75c after 2 hours. Does the max +150 on the vram no issue, got around 2550-2600mhz OC which seems to be fairly standard, no winning the silicon lottery for me there unfortunately. Ran perfectly fine on my 650w psu even with an OC on that+CPU, experimented with undervolting and could get the card to run at ~65% the wattage while only losing 10% perf which will be nice to use during the summer months.

On a semi related note, I wish I got the 450 dollar 4k 144hz monitor instead of the phillips one. If only this deal appeared a week earlier.

    • What are your settings for the oc? I only managed 2575, 1100mv +10% power limit.

      • 1150mv+15% power limit. I found from some searching around that even if you're undervolting you should max out power limit on amd gpus.

    • I'm running that Dell monitor. It's so nice.

  • With ex mining cards it all depends on the miner rather than the mining. If they're from a data centre the environment is very controlled. In a warehouse on an open rig with windows open etc. they're at least cosmetically going to take a hit from oxidation of cheap alloys. Being a miner myself and knowing many other miners this is the experience.

Grabbed the phantom 6800xt $589. Ive been wanting to upgrade my 1080ti for quite a while

    • Did you receive the 6800XT? How's the performance difference? (i also have 1080 Ti and ummed and aaahd too long and now they are sold out lol)

  • Also grabbed a Phantom to replace a 1080ti.

This thing is huge compared ….

    • Yeah side by side to my 1080 is wild. It just fit in length wise.
Probably why my case is struggling with heat unless the door is open.

Ordered the normal RX 6800 Challenger on Wednesday and arrived Friday.
Inspected it, looks brand new. Only complaint, one part of the heatsink fins were slightly bent, barely noticeable unless I pointed it out. Everything else seems to be in good condition. Overall, very satisfied with what I received.

Been playing The Last of Us Part 1 for the last few hours on the settings it set for me: Auto.
Geometry Settings: High, Texture Settings: Ultra and everything else: High.
    The FPS hovers between 65 - 105fps on 2k resolution and has been a great experience so far. (Ryzen 7600(PBO), B650, 32GBz 6000 EXPO DDR6, SSD(I know)).

Wanted an immediate upgrade until next gen. A welcome upgrade from my GTX 1080.

    • I got my 6800 challenger a few days ago too in really good condition.

Only annoying thing is I can't get the asrock rgb software to detect the GPU, apparently a common issue as the software sucks

I returned my XT was pretty pissed off seeing GPU sag including the board isn't as new condition there's no way to know for sure what kind of damage that does. The seller was easy to deal with

I got the Sapphire Nitro 6800 regular - spotless condition. One slightly bent heat sink fin but no issues otherwise. Nice looking card once rbg is on.

    • +1

Mine too had 1 bent fin. Sapphire Nitro 6800 nice looking card for sure!
