      Nope, not needed for redemption

  • Nice find

  • Does multi city has more (and different) merchant? Or it simply just let you redeem in multiple cities?

    • Yes - I previously bought multiple cities and saw some offers only available in one particular city - perhaps because that merchant was only in that city (state).

      • Sorry I should have add more detail…..

When I activate the single city, yo can still see merchants in other location, but not that much once you move your map outside of Sydney and Melbourne.

My question is do you get different merchants on the map view if you are activating the Multi city?

BTW only reason I ask is I may have a trip going on in October but only for a few days and single location (not decided where yet). May be I should just buy a spare single city? After all its 0.99 vs 10.99?

        • I don't even know that you can move the map outside the selected city in single city membership :D.
But for multiple city, definitely it shows more merchants than single city.

Multiple cities is covenient but somehow confusing, you may find some promotions are available in specific state - for example, 2 in 1 (buy 2 pay 1) for Big Mac is only valid in NSW / ACT and not somewhere else, so you have to really check before trying to redeem.

And for this promotion, better to get multiple single city - if you have two mobile, you can have membership for both cities activated.

          • @Lomax: We have 4 mobiles between me and my wife👍👍

Agree single city is cheaper as I have no plan to travel to more than 1.

I think I will just buy 3 with 1 to spare for the travel. Worse case if not travel, I will use the spare one in Sydney and get the same vouchers again.

There really aren't many decent offers anymore is there. Damn! Subway was my fav 241

  • are you guys getting the 3m or 12m?

    • +3

      3m x2

  • Not letting me activate the 3 month membership, just keeps saying "Something went wrong, Please try again later."

Anyone else getting this? Assume their website is being smashed..

    • I’m getting this:
This transaction could not be processed. Please check payment details and try again.

      Have tried multiple cards

      • +2

The payment form is ugly. You may need to swipe at the payment field and enter your card's cvc

    • +1

Just bought 3 months membership and can activate immediately. May be the server was busy during that time.

      • Still no good :(

        Will try again later.

  • anything worth for Melbourne and Brisbane ? like free food or so for $0.99?

    • Would also like to know…

  • Bought 4x3 months without reading the fine print and in my half asleep state. My noobness aside, great deal!

    • Sell them for $10 a pop on marketplace once the promo expires

      • Why not use them?

        • 4x3 months that must be redeemed in 90 days? I dunno about your maths mate but it doesn't add up for me.

  • Anything worth in Gold Coast area? might purchased another.

    • can you buy 2 memberships and activate both, one for brisbane one for gold coast?

      • Not 100% for same account but two different accounts works.

      • +2

You can buy multiple memberships, but you cannot activate both. Once you activate the second one, the first one will automatically deactivated. If you have two mobile, you can activate both memberships without any problem.

  • Well it must be 10 years since we got Entertainment Book, old favourites like McD and TimeZone are not in our local one anymore I see. Definitely a bargain though at $1.98 for 6 months worth.

  • Why do u want this thho?

    • +1

check through the offers to see if there are any places that you regularly visit

plenty of BOGOF coffee or 25% off dining places easily make up the 99c cost

  • Can anyone see if you can get the Seaworld/Village roadshow Locals pass for 10% off? https://themeparks.com.au/buy/locals-one-pass?gad=1&gclid=Cj…

The Entertainment book website says it's 10% off selected ticket types, but doesn't say what those ticket types are.

Only seems to be discount on the 3 day pass, and the single entry to Paradise Country is there as well.

  • +1

cannot see anything interesting or worth it…

    • +3

Exactly. I grabbed one simply because I am already planning to goto one of the restaurants so it will pay for itself instantly, but there's barely a single other thing on there i want. I can scarcely justify it even for 99c. I already get the discounted gift cards through any of the other cashback websites and work perks websites, and yes i suppose i could get a free Big Mac or some donuts…?

Man the Entertainment Book used to be amazing! Hundreds of vouchers, everything from cafes to fine dining, wineries, luxury hotels, high teas. Now there's barely anything that isn't just cafes and fast food

  • got 2 x 3 months for $1.98. Transaction went through instantly.

The last time I used the entertainment book was around in 2015, I recall they used to have heaps of 50% off - looks like it's no longer the case. However, for $1.98 it's a no brainer to try.

    • How 2x

      • +1

You literally select Quantity as (2) in the checkout page

  • Is the voucher just redeemable once per restaurant? Or can you redeem multiple times at one restaurant?

    • yes once per restaurant, the vouchers are one time use

      • +1

What if it is a franchise restaurant like McDonald's or Din Tai Fung, is it once per location? Or one redemption across the whole chain of them? Thanks

        • once per use, any location.

At 99c for a 3 month membership, just buy multiple memberships as long as you account for the 90 day activation.

        • +2

One redemption across the whole chain

        • What if

Voucher greys out and can't be used again.

You can just buy multiple memberships to use the same vouchers again.

  • It’s been years since I used the EB and looks like there isn’t as many offers on there now. Worth a punt for 99c though. I’ll use 2 for 1 at Goodberrys in ACT.

I will be travelling to Melbourne next month. If I buy now (I entered Hobart as the suburb), will this membership can be used only in Hobart, or I can choose Melbourne as the default city when I activate?

    • +2

You can only opt for one city, can't change after.
Better purchasing another one for different city.

      • +1

To clarify, so I an choose the city when i activate right? not when I buy it?

        • +2

          Yes when you activate it.

    • +3

It doesn’t matter what suburb you said you live, you choose the city on activation

      • Thanks!

        • Just buy one for Melbourne and one for Hobart… < $2

          • +1

@jv: Thanks jv… bought three, since I will be travelling to Syd next week too :D

  • Is it the exact same vouchers for every subscription?

As in if I already used 2 up for a certain cafe, will the same two be available again on a new subscription?

    • +2

As long as the cafe still part of the Entertainment promotion, it will be there in the new subscription.

      New Shang Hai
      Chefs Gallery
      Rashays
      Harvest buffet @Star

      • Are you sure Rashays is in there? I could not find it

        • I have it in Sydney book

    • +2

So basically the OzBargain staples, but no nutritional value, got it!

  • +3

I think a bit of expectation management is worth it here - you're not going to be getting a bunch of completely free meals or activities given the low entry cost. For me, it makes a bunch of activities with my kid a whole lot more affordable - the aquarium, Collingwood Children's farm, go ice skating, maybe hit Luna Park. Add a couple of 25% off at restuaurants and some of the takeaway stuff and it's worth way more than 99c

    • Same for me, can see this saving me a good chunk of money over the next 6 months, and also allowing me to try different places more with the kid vs just going the cheapest option due to cost.

    • +1

I just had dinner at southbank tonight and checked the restaurant while I was there… Sure enough it was listed, saved $30 off the bill. Decent profit on $1.98 and I could potentially go there again in 3-6 months

  • Spent $0.99 to see what's the hype.

  • Help! Cannot see the 3month option - what am I doing wrong? (not a member)

    • It doesn't need to be a member to purchase the membership. Just go to Entertainment website, scroll down until you see 'Which Membership is right for you?' section. There are two boxes, singlecity on the left and multiple city on the right. Both by default showed the 12 months subscription - just click on the 3 months (just above the price) and you will see the price for 3 months subscription.

  • Anyone have recommendations for Brisbane?
Been many years since I had a membership. Used to exchange vouchers online too.

The only decent one I see so far is BOGOF orange tea ( bubble tea) and Beach House

    • Beach house is only good for dinner as their lunch deals are the same value as the voucher in my experience.

I liked Ahmets Turkish with my voucher

    • The 25% off Harajuku Gyoza is decent

  • Option of Bali or Perth (not both) when you choose WA activation. Bali used to be included in the physical WA book. My last subscription was 2019/2020

  • What merchants and restaurants for Perth? Worth it to buy?

    • Yes for 99 cents although most of the restaurants I go to are not in the book. Currently I would use Goreng Goreng Mount Lawley and Sushi Hub.
Woolworths 4%/Wish 3%/Big W 5% discounted gift cards if you don't have RAC subscription

  • Should I activate for Brissy or Gold Coast?

    • +1

Activated for GC. First coupon I see is for Burrito Bar in Southport which closed down a few months ago…

      • +1

I got Curry Muncher @ Paradise Point… also closed a few months back.

  • Note: if you have Zurich life insurance, you already get this for free.

I am new to this thing. Can anyone enlighten me on how this works?

Does Coupon of the same shop get reset every day/week?

    • +1

      Its typically a once off.

    • +1

      No, single use only.
Best to buy another 99c 3 months membership if you have a favourite place

      • What about after extending the membership?

  • Deleted

  • Great find! Dusted an old account and activated for 3 months

  • Can you activate two memberships concurrently for two different cities?

  • Thanks.

  • Cash rewards can't load , no 14 cents!

Lots of brunch places near me offering 25% - $25

Download the app - then browse and you can see the offerings.
