Looks like I will be going to TGI Fridays soon :) That's all I would use the book for years ago when I used it. Although I think it was 2 for 1 menu item previously, now 25% off instead.

Important info: You cannot purchase mulitiple 3 month membership and wait to activate beyond the 90 days - the membership begins to tick down after 90 days and you'll lose it.

Also, accounts are linked to your phone number. You can have multiple memberships under the 1 email.
The system will tell you the number exists already when you try use a different email.

    • what if activated on 89th day?

      • +7

Activate within 90 days eg 89th day and you will get the number of months of membership purchased.
If you buy 2 x 99c, can get 6 months worth by activating second membership on 89th day.
        I rang Entertainment to confirm

T&Cs: All Entertainment Memberships must be activated within 90 days from the date of purchase to receive the full duration of your chosen Membership.

        • +1

The trick is to buy one today and activate it. Then buy another tomorrow so you can take full advantage of the 90 days.

          • @CodeXD: but need another cell no?

            • +1

@capslock janitor: Don't need another number. I bought 2 x 3 months separately using the same number and email. Can see the other membership not activated yet.
Someone mentioned that Entertainment had ended a previous sale earlier than closing date hence people are buying now than waiting

            • @capslock janitor: In that case, no. You buy one and activate today, it will be valid to 23/09/2023.
If you buy another 3m membership tomorrow, you can activate it on the last day (90 days after puchase - 24/09/2023) and wou will have 6 months subscription for < $2

              • @Lomax: ?u mean sept 20+

                • @capslock janitor: Yes, Sept 20+. I may not write it clearly - my bad.

I bought two memberships today: one I activated today, and it is vaild until 23/09/2023. The second one, I assume I can validate on 23/09/2023 (there is no date in the email) at the latest, but I will not take risk - I will validate on 22/09/2023 or earlier.

                  • @Lomax: i mean 90 days from now is Sept 20th innnit?

should activate the second one on <19th :)

                    • +1

@capslock janitor: In my activated membership, it said that my 3 months membership will expire on 23/09/2023 (I activated it today). May be they just calculate three month from today + 1 day and not really calculating whether the month has 30 days or 31 days?

    • While it won't get you past 6 months you won't lose it after 90 days but won't get full use of it. Just mentioning for those that are worried about forgetting.

"You must activate your membership within the duration of your chosen membership period and the 90 days grace period." and
"All Entertainment Memberships must be activated within 90 days from the date of purchase to receive the full duration of your chosen Membership."

So after the 90 days you can still activate but it eats into your 3 months.

Wondering if they notified the poor participating stores about the promotion. Now the stores are going to see millions of 25% discount vouchers. Honestly, most business gross margin is about 50%-60%, when it takes away 25%, it’s like 25%~35%left , then if the rent, labour and whatever, they probably left with nothing.

    • +4

      Oh nooooo. Anyways…

    • +1

The business chooses to be listed on there, if they didn't want people redeeming vouchers they wouldn't put themselves on there.

Did I understand correctly. If you plan to eat 2 x Maccas muffin 45 time over 90 days. You can purchase 45 x $0.99, and then activate a membership every time? It’s like spend a dollar to buy a 2 for 1 coupon?

    • +2

      but why…?

    • why " 2 x Maccas ?

      • +1

its BOGOF, so you gotta eat 2 or have some way to process the two each time you purchase :D

        • I just see the bigmac one. Is there a mcmuffin one as well?

    • from what I can tell, even though the maccas deals show, when you click on them it says it is not available anymore (this is before I purchased and activated account, so not sure if the search info is correct. Someone tell me if maccas is not available anymore….i.e. 2 for 1 big macs etc

  • Question: can I redeem a voucher more than once. For example, if I click redeem Sushi Hub voucher, can I redeem it again after using it?

    • No. One time only, unless multiple vouchers for the same vendor.

      • Righto, thanks! =)

      • does it disappear afterwards or something ?

        • It says used once you click on it, but it's not very obvious at first glance on the app from memory.

  • @Lomax - sweet thanx man - did not spot that option earlier - must be going blind LOL. All good much appreciated.

App is so laggy…. nothing loads.

  • Looks like OzBargain has crashed the app, well done everyone!

  • How long till they email the order confirmation? CR tracked immediately (the whole 10c :D) but still haven't got anything from Ent, that was nearly 20 minutes ago. Got the activation code from the order page though anyway. Maybe site is just getting OzBargained..

    Edit: Nevermind, just came through.
Ordered a second one now too and received email immediately.

  • Thanks OP

  • Purchased 3x single city first time, card failed. Tried again diff card, card failed. Tried again same card, card succeeded. They took money 3 times… entertainment book site says I have 5 pending memberships… maths not adding up… and I don't need that many :(

  • +1

Does anyone have problem activating their membership? I bought two 3 months and activated one but it's not showing. I tried to call them and it was said the server is down.

  • I just updated the app and now I try to look for vouchers but nothing comes up.
    Is it just me?
    What's going on?
Can anyone check theirs to see if it is doing the same thing.

    Thanks.

    • Same here

      • So does that mean it's just a glitch or they aren't happy with this many people signing up so cheaply?

    • +4

In your app, go to My Profile -> Membership -> untick 'Mercchant Centric Layout', then the offers came up on the home screen.

      • Thanks!

    App does not work ❌

  • Anyone tries redeem woolies gift card, I pressed redeem offer button but nothing happened.

  • LOL. Too many ozbargainers overloading their system. Purchased 2x single city. Failed first time. Tried again and succeeded. I will wait until later to activate after the gold rush has settled down.

    • Did your failed transaction end up getting charged like door999mo?
Just had one fail, don't know whether to just try again or wait and see (don't see a pending transaction on my card, but doesn't always appear instantly on this one)
