This is fine, but the current 2x Prezzee $150/$10 deals are better and more versatile (particularly how the $10 bonus works).

    • Any link

    • +2

You never know where that 10$ went, you can't track it lol

      • You can see whether it tracked by going to checkout for item sold by and shipped by Amazon AU. No need to checkout, just to verify it worked.

        • Good hack lol It's there

          • +2

@sqheaven: Not hack but the only way to check it and also told by the support team

    • -5

How is it better? Buying from Amazon direct is infinitely more secure and guaranteed. Trusting Prezzee over Amazon direct is begging for disappointment.

      • +2

I do use Amazon when they have the best price on something

But you should be just as wary of Amazon as you are with Prezzee, if not more. Plenty of reports of people's accounts being banned and losing their gift card balance https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/780067

        • It's still easier to reach support of Amazon than Prezzee in this case.

      • I've had no issues with either company.

With Prezzee you can swap for other stores in case you don't need/want Amazon and the $10 is a GC instead of promo credit which has less restrictions.

    • Correct, the deal from Prezzee is better, since the $10 bonus only can apply to items sold by Amazon AU and also limited to be use within this year… last time trying to find something from Amazon AU within the timeframe was hard, lucky I am a game person and usually they have some good discounts on games on matching retail prices…

      • just buy toilet paper on sale , shipped and sold by amazon AU.

  • +1

I'm getting an error : "The promotional code you entered cannot be applied to your purchase"

NVM - T&C say just make the purchase anyway and it'll all be ok

    • Got the same, but still got $10 bonus

  • +54

$10/$150 is not even 10%. Kinda meh to be honest.. Thanks for the effort though, OP.

    • +5

perfect for me. free money is always great. i spend more then 150 anyways, great to see some money comeback.

      • +1

The comparison isn't with no money, mate.. it is between 10% bonus/ cashback (as in many $30 and $20 Amazon giftcard deals offered regularly by Shopback and Cashrewards) vs 6.67% bonus (this particular deal).

        • I think he got his huge reaction. But it's not about the comparison. It's about spending much more than the gift card discounts available. It's just another win if you can get a discounted gift card coz that toilet paper, tissues, nappies, etc isn't waiting around for anybody.

          • @mit: Fair enough.. for urgent purchase needs, 6.67% discount is better than no discount. Makes sense.

  • +3

I can't seem to add the code. Keeps getting rejected.

    • +5

T&C say just click once. If you use the code twice = it'll give the error message. Just make the purchase anyway and it'll all be ok

      • Thank you. I'll give it a go, worst case is breaking even after all.

    • +2

Keep a screenshot of the offer and their help will credit you the $10 bonus if it fails to be applied. Worked for me in the past.

      • Thanks for the tip. I've done that now.

        • No worries, I've received my promotional credit already so you should not have any problems

  • +2

    Only work for prime members

  • +1

Does the $10 bonus credit affect any shopback/cashrewards cashback eligibility?

    • +4

Yes it does, so only use it for categories that don't have cashback

  • That's around 6.66%. Not bad if you are planning to buy something for $150+ from Amazon anyway. Thanks TA!

Edit: received the confirmation email for $10 credit in few mins after order even tho it showed error applied the code at checkout.

  • Just received my e- gift card, and additional confirmation email of $10 benefit to be applied to my next purchase. Thanks TA!

  • Prime just expired. Xyz!@#

    • Make new account and sign up to Prime trial

  • +1

    Like your 2/20,3/30 over this

  • It comes up as an error when you add the promo code but it still works and I got a my $10 credit 10mins after I got my $150 gift card.

  • +1

    Neah. Not worth it

    • Agree, also you don't get cashback if you use Amazon promo credit! Suck

  • -3

6% is very low discount … amazon should do at-least 10% after all everything on amazon is higher price then ebay .. !

    • +4
    • +1

Lol give it a rest. eBay and Amazon have completely different business strategies. There’s more differences than overlapping stock and I can also get most things the next day (or day after) rather than dropshipping for most eBay goods these days and getting it in 2 weeks

      • -4

Not completely true as many of eBay Australia seller send item within 3 days and same with Amazon but yes you can more easily search for item available for next day delivery on Amazon then on eBay.. !

But why not buy from store if you urgently need something?

    • You musy be looking at eBay in USD as i find everything is cheaper on Amazon (especially when post is included) and most stuffon ebay is drop shipped from amazon

  • -1

    damn it, ran out

    • How can you tell?

      • got the error that code doesn't work

    • +1

Worked for me ok 30 mins ago

      • -1

        cap,
i tried again and same error.

        • +2

You sure didn't click the reeem box twice? See comments at top of thread.

          • @drongodave: correct.
1st try it gives me this message:

The promotional code you entered cannot be applied to your purchase.

    • Just did it 5 mins ago and received the promo credit already

    • Still works. Only 2600 clicks so far, and over 5000 redemption available

  • still working. Please check if it says -GC benifit applied on the checkout.

  • One of the FAQs. "For eligible customers, the promotion code GIFTPRIME should be entered only once at the checkout. If you enter the code more than once, the following message is displayed at the checkout. You can make the purchase and promotion will still be applied."

I keep getting that error (and no GC benefit showing in checkout)…. I bought the card anyway, we will see if there is additional credit!

    — EDIT: Confirmed I got the $10 credit

    • I entered twice, second time it said code can’t be applied. Received the $10 within minutes

  • Done and done…cheers TA

  • Purchased at 9:28am AEST, confirmed promo credit email at 9:35am

  • I forgot to enter the code but jumped on chat and they applied the $10

    • +1

Same, saw your comment and asked for it, they applied the $10

  • +4

    That's inflation for you…used to be on a $100

  • Worked fine, received benefit confirmation email

  • never got a promo confirmation email but chat confirmed i have the credit

  • Thanks still worked at 10:08

  • not working

  • One per account ?

    • T&Cs: Offer limited to one promotional credit per customer and Amazon.com.au account. If Amazon considers a customer to be operating multiple accounts, those accounts will, for the purposes of this offer, be treated as one customer.

  • +1

Repeatedly receiving that the promotional code cannot be applied to the purchase.

    • +1

I got this at 9:30… After a few tries I couldn't be bothered on my Sunday morning

    • +5

You might have entered the code more than once, on the desktop, check under order summary, on the right-hand side: "Qualifying offers: GC promotion"

  • let's see if it still works

  • Still working

  • Yep, can confirm it still worked for me.

  • -5

Can’t wait for the forum posts of people complaining their Amazon acct has been locked but they had 100s of dollars in gift card credit on their acct.

  • Thank you

  • nice! thank you !!

  • +1

Does it still work? I got a error

    • Should do, just contact help and have a screen shot of the offer handy and they will apply it to your account

  • +2

how do you know if this deal is still valid?

  • Still works.

  • Can use the $150 to buy one of these for winter -

  • Can you pay for a prime renewal with an Amazon GC?

  • +1

The promotional code you entered cannot be applied to your purchase.

    • same here, what did we do wrong?

      • I think I applied it previously and when you apply it again it shows that error. I went ahead and made the order and got the $10 promo.
this error is documented in their FAQ on the offer page.

  • still works, just got it now

  • Do you have to be a prime member at the time of using the credit?
