    I bought 45 rolls for $18 on sat. Not sure this is a deal.

    • +7

      I was using the 45 rolls from Amazon for years. But I feel the quality has dropped and although still 3 ply are overall not as thick as the other packs of quilton 3 ply.

      • +2

        second this. tp layers tend to come off on every roll

      • +1

        I find many brands of TP have decreased in quality over the years…the worst offender being Sorbent (before they changed to new machines that were meant to emboss better to allegedly give better quality, they used to be very good….since they changed the machines they are terrible…thin and scratchy, haven't purchased for many years because of this)

        • I just purchased the smallest quantity of Sorbent and Quilton the other day for science. Can conclude that Sorbent is not good at all while Quilton, despite ppl saying that the quality has dropped, still pretty good in comparison.

            @iori57: I usually just get Aldi Confidence brand or Woolworths Vevelle (24 rolls)

            • +1

              @souths123: now i need to do more science work lol

              • @iori57: the Aldi one is best out of those two, then the Vevelle…don't get the Coles So Soft one though…it isn't so soft hahaha

                • @souths123: Have you compared the Aldi one with Quilton? just wondering if they are on par or the Aldi one is better of the two.

                  • @iori57: I did compare Aldi and Quilton. The Quilton paper quality is better, even though they look the same and allegedly come from the same manufacturer.

            • @souths123: The Kirkland (Costco) ones are also OK but they’re not as cheap as they used to.

        • +1

          Sorbet used to be the best and it was my only go to TP brand. I remember their Hypo Allergenic TP was so thick and soft. The quality even made me feel so proud that we Aussies manufactured one of the best TP in the world! I’ve also stopped buying them for years after their quality went down hill.

            @FrugalNotStingy:

            Sorbet used to be the best and it was my only go to TP brand

            Well yes, I can see how it would be soothing, especially the morning after a fiery curry, but surely sorbet would be messy and expensive? I think I'll stick with toilet paper.

            • +1

              @kiitos: Dang Autocorrect!!!
              I would prefer a bidet other than sorbet or any TP for morning after spicy food, or piles flare ups ;)

      • +1

        Glad I’m not the only one that noticed. The texture got a lot rougher too.
        I just opened a pack I bought back in covid TP frenzy times and was able to compare. The quality has gone down a lot.

      • +1

        They're all tolerable compared to that white-ball-dropping Cottonelle shitezenhausen from Kleenex…

    • +1

      where about?

    • Yeah last time I paid $22 for 48 rolls.
      Link to 45 rolls for $18?

  • +2

    Not bad, but not as good as the 45 for $17.90

  • Looks like this item is price-matched to this weeks Woolworth's current catalogue price (page 26) which finished tomorrow.

    Makes one nostalgic for the good old days of watching the punters fighting in the aisles over the last packets of TP :)

    • "which finished tomorrow". That threw my mind into a spin. I obviously haven't taken the right colour pill yet.

    Dropped in price has this toilet paper, making it slightly cheap by $0.03 per roll than this deal

    Ummm $19/ 36 = $0.5278
    $24.99/ 48 = $0.5206

    • +1

      🤯

    • +2

      Subtract the cost of petrol to the nearest Woolworths

      Add the cost of additional greenhouse gases emitted for a toilet paper only delivery by Amazon

      Subtract the cost of food I would have to eat due to calories burnt walking through the aisles

      Subtract the cost of impulse buys at the checkout counter

      Add the cost of the Amazon warehouse worker's mental health bills for working under those conditions

      Hmmm… Buying toilet paper was never such a tough decision lol

      • Don't forget the cost to ship and truck toilet paper to your local Woolies vs from warehouse to your front door

  • +2

    Think Woolies has it same price so thanks but no thanks

    BTW We are using this one and love it 🫠

      Do you just walk around with a dripping backside?

      • As someone who has used a bidet (not this one) some have a fan to dry your bum but you can use a little bit of TP to dab it dry. Good experience overall, highly recommend

  • does S&S make it cheaper than woolies tho?

  • Decent, but doesnt deliver for 2 weeks.

  • I thought their King Gold 4 ply was the best one

  • cost per 100 sheets:
    18036 = 6480
    (17.10/6480)
    100=.2639

    kirkland/costco = 0.29 per 100 sheets. https://www.costco.com.au/Grocery-Household/Toilet-Paper-Tis…

    deal

    • Good, unless your nearest Costco is an hours drive away, then = No deal.

  • +1
