The price in title is after all stacking discounts have been applied, using a trade-in device valued at $5.

I was not able to complete checkout because Asurion (the trade-in provider) is broken for me but I expect it should work for others.

To get this price:

  1. Install the Samsung Shop app to take advantage of the 10% discount for your first in-app order. Use the app for the remaining steps.
  2. Add the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold5 512GB to your cart. You must choose from the online exclusive colours only.
  3. Navigate to Computing & Display > Memory & Storage > Memory Card > EVO Plus microSD Card. Add 2 of the 64GB to your cart.
    This should now have activated the additional 20% off advertised here: https://www.samsung.com/au/youmake/
    If it hasn't taken effect, try forcing your cart to update by incrementing the quantity of SD cards, then decrementing.
  4. Add a trade in device to take advantage of the $600 trade-in bonus. You can use the TradeUp app to generate a $1 code for generic headphones (Or so I've heard. Asurion doesn't work for me. I added a $5 Huawei Mate 20 for testing.)
    For reference, my total at this point is $1,382.
  5. Apply your 10% loyalty code.
  6. Apply your $100 loyalty code.
  7. Apply your $50 newsletter code.

I featured this particular device because it is eligible for the trifecta of bonus trade-in, stacking 10% discounts, and 20% off with the https://www.samsung.com/au/youmake/ bundle. For example, the 256GB model does not work, but the 1TB does. It may also apply to the S23 Ultra and Flip5. If it's not working, try testing combinations of other low-value products advertised in the above link instead of the SD cards.

  • I got to 20% discount bundle step but seems like we missed out since Trade Up app can't process payments to generate Trade up code anymore and 100$ discount and 10% loyalty discount is behind a 200 queue.

  • Tried trading in Samsung, Beats and Sony Earbuds. "Unable to process your payment, please try again".

    My guess is that Asurion are getting an influx of those earbuds trade ins but are not actually receiving the earbuds so have modified the app to not process earbud trade ins?

    Talked to chat about payment not working on the trade in app.

      • Samsung asked him to do reset in his current phone so he can pass the payment in tradeup app.

    • I tried with spare android phones and it still doesn't work. I doubt if resetting device will help

    Contacted Samsung and the authorisation failed error and its a known issue, so you cant purchase this deal. Samsung is working on it, but not sure if discounts will still work. Great work by OP.
    Negging it as the deal price can't be purchased using the app with the said price.

        There is an option to select trade in to get the discount. checkout automatically takes you to Trade in. There is no option to select where I write what you said.

        The issue is you can't put your payment details to obtain the trade in code.

        • you don't need to do it on Samsung trade up app just do it in the Samsung shop checkout

            @froogletom: You still need to give Ausurion your payment details when checking out. It gets the same error as on their app.

          Both TradeUp and Asurion are not working. Tradeup is coming with "Unable to process your payment. please try again.
          Asurion is coming with Authorisation failed.

    hey everyone i figured out the easiest way to bypass the trade in app not working is just say your trading in your phone then don't send the phone and cop the fees. you can trade in your phone at checkout of the Samsung shop app so no need for Samsung trade up app, it will automatically apply the $600 bonus aslong as your device is eligible which most phones should as my oppo find x 2 pro is still worth $140 to them

    • Well you have to generate an authorisation before checkout through asurion. Are you saying that it is working?

      Have you finalised it? As I tried this, and at checkout, it'd still go to the same process as Asurion did on the app, and failed the payment too

        • OK, it didn't work. When you try to pay that, it's going to the same as Asurion steps, would ask for IMEI, ID, etc and then the payment (for Asurion deposit, not Samsung phone) on the last stage and it failed

  • I was able to follow above and add J5 on at checkout, was able to get a 10% code and the newletter code. But when I apply the 10% code it takes away the newsletter code and doesn't apply 10% off, says Voucher applied. Please note that the voucher was not applicable to all products in your cart.

    • Its a risk to follow the J5 route, applicable charges could imply Samsung will ask Asurion to chase you on the trade up bonus. Not worth unless you are a risk taker.

    • Same here, I think they have removed stacking of Loyalty code with the Samsung Shop app code.

      This completely voids the need to purchase through the Samsung Shop app since if you get the loyalty code you get the same price online through web store.
