  • Can someone explain raw versus roasted nuts? The stuff we buy at woolworth's and Coles what would they be?

    • Ww and Coles stock both raw and roasted, dry roasted is without any added oil. Macadamia nuts taste good raw, hopefully even better dry roasted!

  • FReeship not valid for 2kg to Adelaide

Ended up with 6kg plus another 250g of Honey roasted Macs

  • Any shipping notifications yet?

    • Not yet, previous orders have had a few days packing, but they may be a little busier than normal :)

      • Just got the email, order is on the way!

        • Mine is Order #105512 is awaiting fulfillment.

          • @tlai: Mine is a few orders in front of yours, still just says order is confirmed…

            • @krazek: I got a tracking notification today, they said due to large volume sales and melb cup, there has been some delays.

  • How long does it take them to fulfill the orders?

    • +1

Mine shipped after about 3 business days.

  • My order placed on 06/nov 8am still no update, it's taking a long time to ship

    • +1

They are probably inundated with orders from the deal!

Macadamia special seems out of stock…

With so many people planning to gorge themselves on a 50 years’ supply, I am not that surprised

  • +8

Just received today. Looks less than 10% whole nuts. Mostly crushed, or chopped up.
Probably best used for baking goods.

7kg of macadamia dust. I guess it all comes out the other end the same

    • +1

      Wow. That's a little disappointing!!
I haven't even got shipping info yet.

      • +2

Updated - received mine today, and was expecting crumbs (I was expecting it to be small pieces at this price anyway, but above pic was worse than I imagined) however i got mostly good sized halves and some whole nuts. Taste good too.

But seems like a lucky dip with more comments below getting crumbs and some getting nicer sized pieces.

    • Looks poorly roasted as well. Lots of dark brown pieces …… This could have been a good exercise in growing customer base. Hopefully I have better experience than you look to have had, but going by your photo I will not be purchasing again and will instead leave an appropriate negative review.

    • +1

Thanks for the heads up. Canceled my order. Will stick to Aldi's Macadamia.

      • I just cancelled mine too and was wondering how long they took to refund you.

  • +3

got my bag today. would not buy again. hardly any whole nuts. I would go so far to say its expensive at this price given that its basically a bag of crumbs

    • -3

If you got 7kg you should be good for a couple of decades. Especially since you can’t serve this stuff up in good conscience to the Christmas crowd

  • +5

I received my 7kg today. The majority of mine were whole macadamia nuts along with some crushed up ones. I was expecting to be disappointed after reading the posts above but I guess I got lucky.

    • I think some of the crumbling could be shipping related, my packs are ok.

    • mine was fine too.

  • +4

I'm happy with mine. Appears I was luckier than the pic above, more whole nuts but can eat the chopped ones at the same time in the same handful.
    Very tasty.
    Use by Nov '24 :)

  • +2

    salted macadamia still available.

    • +1

      Thanks, updated.

  • Placed an order back on 6th in the morning and still not even shipped yet……..

    • +2

Mine looks the same as in your photo

    • Take a photo of the back

    • +1

That's drastically different from what I got. Def. going to email them about it. Feeling salty.

      • same here, mostly broken pieces and crumbs, nuts aren't even roasted properly like the picture above, and taste stale as well

        https://ibb.co/9WhrzbY

  • Bought some for my mom,she said every packs are mostly pieces and looks like its out of best before

    • I'd a chargeback if I received this

  • so we weighed out our 1kg bag. only 440gm of whole and halves. the rest were broken bits

  • Mine still not shipped…. I'm in Melbourne…. anyone else still waiting?

    • I ordered on the 6th and haven’t heard anything from them about a shipment or a delay. How to cancel?

    • I ordered mine on the 6th(order 106xxx) and still not shipped, they are taking their time.

      • +1

finally recieved my order this morning, the roasted ALmond is very good, also got good size macadamia, walnuts are fresh but a bit skinny =p

    • I ordered on the 7th at 8am, sounds like it could be a while…

    • I emailed them today, they told me my order getting shipped today and blah blah blah excuses. Send them an email if you're still waiting for your order.

    • I ordered on the 6th too. Order: #10665x. Still no email notification about shipping so I just cancelled my order.

  • out of stock :( for 5 kg bulk

    • Order 5 x 1kg?

Unsalted appears to be back in stock in 1kg too.

  • +2

The smoked almond tastes stale, and the jumbo golden raisin is like raw sugar. Anyone got luck returning for refund?

    • Same experience on the almonds, thought maybe it was just the way it was when smoked vs roasted. Have you tried asking for refund?

      • I haven't tried. On their website, you have to pay for the shipping, and i don't think 8kg shipping fee is cheap :(

  • +2

Ordered on 6th, arrived on the 13th. (NSW)
The macadamias are pretty tasty - excellent value.

  • Ordered Nov 7th still not received any shipping info

    • Same, I'm still waiting for shipping info and ordered on the 7th as well.

  • +3

I ordered on 6th Nov. I received mine this afternoon (Brisbane). All were packed on 10/11 and shipped out yesterday afternoon. All my pack for raw macadamia and roasted unsalted looks pretty good. Most are whole and not small at all. There is only some broken pieces at back of the packaging. They are exceed my expectations at this price.

  • +3

I finally received my order today, pretty happy with the Macadamia - most were whole/half pieces, small amount tiny pieces. Tasty, crunchy and fresh.
The smoked almonds were also delicious, although I question whether they have actually been smoked. I suspect it has simply been tossed/seasoned in the smokehouse flavouring.
Overall very happy with quality and price.

  • Got mine this afternoon, the unsalted ones are mainly crumbs :(

  • +2

If people actually read the details it clearly stated the Macadamian nuts were pieces and not whole.

    • Reading comprehension is not really an OzBargainer’s forte. However, if you can order a 50 years’ supply of macadamias with free shipping, then the bragging rights make you a clear winner in your own eyes

  • +1

The Macadamia and cashews were tasteless compared to the ones I bought from costco/coles/woolworths.

  • Merged from Unsalted/Salted Macadamia - Whole & Broken $16/kg + Delivery @ Nuts About Life
    Go to Deal

The deal is back, both unsalted and salted whole and broken macadamia

    • +2

Great value for money but picture is not necessarily the product you receive. In our last order over 50% of the contents were broken nuts - some extremely small.

      • I've just ordered 2kg, guess just wish for the best..

    • If free shipping were offered like last time then the deal would be back.

    • Showing as sold out for me.

    • that was quick

From the last Ozbargain post I ordered Macadamias 5kg, Sultanas and Prunes to get free shipping and received the order couple of days ago. BTW, this is my first order with them.

I must say am very very disappointed with the quality of the items I had received.

      1. Macadamias - you hardly find whole ones. It's mostly broken ones and extremely small broken pieces and considerable amount of crushed nut powder. I thought broken means like quarter prices of Macadamias but its not…beware! I am happy to share the pics if you want.

Next thing is taste, they smell like stored old stock and taste disgusting. I had tried to eat them but couldn't, even my kids spat out. So they straight went to the bin.

      1. Sultanas - they are jumbo. Opened the package and they looked very dry and again bad taste (taste that you get after storing items for long duration). Thinking to use them in cakes or something so that we don't feel that tatse.

      2. Scared to open prunes as I already had enough lecture from my wife as it is such a waste of time and money.

Please do not think this as a deal as they are trying to get rid of bad stock for cheap, IMO they should not sell them rather dump them. I would urge ozbargainers to think twice before placing an order.

      • Thanks for the feedback, glad that I didn't get around to ordering in the last deal! Did you provide them feedback?

        • I gave them the feedback, guess what…they didn't publish my feedback…LOL

    • When they say broken they REALLY meant it for the ones I just got. Still usable for somethings, but not like their other offerings.

    • Not happy with my first order from them in last deal. I ordered 7kg want bring it to overseas as gift. Only 300g is close to whole pieces, most are too small pieces. from the 1kg bag.

      • This is what I got. Minus one bag in the photo because I’d already tucked into them.

        https://imgur.com/a/BdD1JX0

        • That doesn't look too bad!

  • Still no shipping info… Ordered on the 6th with standard shipping…

I was expecting macadamia flakes in my order after seeing all the comments, but I couldn’t be happier.

Mostly halves with a fair few wholes.
    They taste delicious.

7kg of salted whole and broken macadamias.
    Order placed 6/11/23
    Received 17/11/23

I ordered on the 6th and received today. Mine is similar to above. No complaints with the macadamias or walnuts that I’ve tried so far.

  • Still no shipping info… Ordered on the 7th with express shipping…

Received my 3kg of roasted macadamias with no issues at all, and super fresh and crunchy, awesome deal.

  • +1

Received yesterday . thus far only checked weight and they were all over 1kg inc bag. Will crack a bag open tonight for a taste test

  • received the unsalted macadamia yesterday, yes they were mix of whole and pieces, but more disappointingly that they tasted stale.. not good at all.. I'm going to returning all 7 packs

  • +1

Received 3kg Unsalted Macadamia, 3kg Salted Macadamia and 1kg Almond flaked(thin) today.

Almond flake is good but all my Macadamias are broken pieces…just several whole Macadamia in a bag all most pieces are smaller than half of peanut size.

It's okay, I'm planning to use it for baking.
But seller have to get rid of 'whole' from product name…

    I'm not happy.😮‍💨😮‍💨😮‍💨

  • +1

Received today, mainly whole. Very happy with the quality!

  • +2

Mine arrived this week, and I'm happily chomping them down. There's maybe 2 dozen whole nuts in each kilo pack, and no crumbs/dust like some others have reported. This is what they looked like when they arrived: https://files.ozbargain.com.au/upload/249013/108737/img_2023…
