I think this was an oversight from JB Hi Fi when they went early on the Black Friday discount to match Officeworks.

      i have the p8pro.

      battery life is not great, I would call it impressively average (or below average depending on what you are coming from).
      no issues with fingerprint reader, its not as fast as the older pixels but you'll get used to it. Face unlock works well and happy to have that option.

      In case you didn't know, the Pixel 8 Pro's screen is flat. The base 8 isn't flat though if I'm not mistaken. I personally prefer the curved screen on my Pixel 6 Pro though but a lot of people seem to be happy with the change 😅

    Managed to get the price down to $1325 for Pixel 8 Pro 256gb.

    I tried getting chat to match Officeworks $400 gift card offer, chat said they don't match gift card offers but able bring the price down to $1325.

      The $300 is specific to the Pixel 8/ 8 Pro and expires tonight.

      They email you a series of coupons, and you activate which one you want. Some are for Samsung that expire on the 19th etc, Pixel expires today

      You get an email with a heap of different vouchers to choose from. The Pixel 8 & 8 Pro voucher is for $300 and must be used by tonight, but there are other vouchers such as $500 off Galaxy S23 Ultra which can be used until 19/11, etc.
      It's not a $300 voucher that can just be used on anything.

          When I click on the voucher, it takes me to the Square/JB website with a notification bar at the top that says 'Coupon code has been emailed to you'. Then I get a new email that has my unique code starting with a #, which I then copy and paste into the checkout coupon box.

          If you log into your account on squaretrade, you may see an outstanding order. Contact them and see whether they can help you to clean up the account. If not, you won't be able to trade with squaretrade anymore…..they match ID, Home Address, Account Profile…so opening a new account with the same ID will not work either.

          For your partner, make you create the account using her email address instead of yours….as your account is NOW block…and ID blocked as well. :(

    Picked up the pixel 8pro! Jb guy said there is no issue with trade in cancellations or change of mind, it's fairly common and they don't care.

    I just picked it up for $698 and it's in my hand, thanks OP.

    From the review videos I've seen online, this cheaper version uses the same processor, mostly the main camera (i don't have a need for zoom or specifically more megapixels in ultrawide) and is more vlaue. I don't care about pro settings in camera app that no one will ever use.

    I think google failed to differentiate their models and that is why I'm happy with purchase. Main downside is smaller screen.

    Once again, great deal and thanks OP! When I look at review videos, they also talk about price being 699 pounds or 699 USD so clearly 698 AUD is very nice.
