That thread is a cluster f of problems. So many ppl getting credit cards blocked and wasted time.

Tried Gift Card Exchange for $500 Amazon gift card using NAB credit card. Failed with D4405 error. Looked at Internet banking/phone app….no indication or notification there that my account was blocked. They should use technology to immediately notify customer account is blocked e.g. SMS to contact number, e-mail to nominated account and notification in Internet banking - so customer doesn't get embarrassed having transaction rejected because customer didn't know card was blocked (lag between blocking and getting phone call from NAB).

Anyway, no indication there was a problem so I bought $500 Amazon gift card from Amazon under this offer, using same NAB credit card. ($15 saving is better than an unfulfilled promise of a $30 saving). Transaction on Amazon went through straight away.
Several minutes later I received call from NAB about first transaction - to confirm I wasn't being scammed and after confirming ok, they said they would unblock card.
Explained I just used it for Amazon purchase without a problem - so was it blocked??? - maybe Amazon still hadn't processed payment.
Asked whether I could now buy Amazon GC from Gift Card Exchange and was advised it would be ok - they would have override so it wouldn't block transaction.
So tried again and failed with D4405 error again. I've used up both chances so kiss that offer goodbye!!
I wasn't happy when NAB called the first time as wasn't advised my card had been blocked and they could have used technology to do so in real time. Unblocking would still rely on getting the call but at least I would be in the dark about the status of my account.
I wonder if they will bother calling me about 2nd failed transaction on Gift Card Exchange. I suspect they'll just make sure account is not blocked and give the call a miss.
