WPI Flavours

We now have 22 flavours available to choose from.

Our new releases for this deal are: Choc Cherry Delight (inspired by one of my favourite chocolate bars), Melon Milk (a new Asian inspired flavour), Iced Chai Latte (since Iced Coffee has been so popular and we have had a few requests)

We have kept our popular Asian inspired flavour releases (they were originally limited edition, but we decided to keep them) - Taro Milk Ice Cream, Pandan and Coconut Gelato and Matcha Green Tea Ice Cream.

All flavours are naturally sweetened. We have transitioned over to thaumatin for the fact that it is an all natural plant based sweetener, a superior flavour profile, a neutral insulin impact (as it is a protein) and being very gentle on the gut. A bit of trivia, thaumatin is about 10x the cost of artificial counterparts (eg. sucralose) and more than 5x the cost of stevia based on weight! Our focus remains on product quality.

Also note the Unflavoured option is straight WPI with just sunflower lecithin added at the point of manufacture to assist in mixing and reduce frothing (less than 1% w/w). There is no sweetener.

Product Breakdown

  • 100% Australian Blended and Packed in our Sydney Facility
  • Our manufacturing facility is owned by us and is a NSW Licensed Food Facility with an approved Dairy Processing license
  • For the nutritional information for each flavour, please click on the "Nutritional Info" tab. The best macros are for Unflavoured (Per serve: 29.7g P / 0.3g F / 0.4g C), and the flavour breakdowns will be variable. All other flavours have less than 1g of fat per serve and 1.2-3.7g of carbs/serve. The newer Aussie Choc Malt is the only exception with 9.9g carbs/serve (from the malt component) - I highly recommend it for the taste, avoid if you want to keep the carbs down.
    Aussie Choc Malt has a notably different macronutrient profile to other flavours. Following a formulation earlier in the year, we added real malt into this protein powder which brings the total protein percentage down to 64.4% (whereas most other flavours will be 80-90%, with a few of the chocolates and Neapolitan range between 76-80%). The flavour profile in the Aussie Choc Malt is amazing, but be aware that there are extra carbs from the malt that make the flavour amazing.
  • We only use WPI in this protein - this is not a blend of other cheaper proteins (for example Whey Protein Concentrate/WPC)
  • Protein is added hormone free, ultra and micro filtered and cold pressed
  • Naturally sweetened with thaumatin (except Cinnamon Icing which uses stevia). We do not use artificial sweeteners.
  • Soy free - we use sunflower lecithin instead of soy lecithin (soy is common in whey proteins)
  • Backed by our 110% Guarantee. Try it and if you don't love it, we'll give you 110% back (in store credit) or a full refund (including delivery). In almost all of our prior WPI deals, I have been asked how our WPI compares to two other very popular products on OzBargain that we sell (Optimum Nutrition 100% Gold Standard Whey and Musashi 100% Whey).

  • Best Before Dates: Best before dates will be 18-24 months away. We turn this product over very quickly so all current stock has been produced recently.
  • Free Delivery: You will get free delivery on your entire order when you order any Amino Z or Bandito Labs supplements.
  • Applying Store Credit: To apply existing store credit (Z Points), firstly make sure that you are logged in. Then, go into checkout and after entering your delivery and shipping choice, select "Load Payment Methods". Once loaded, you will see an option entitled "Spend Your Points". Click this and then enter how many points you wish to apply as a discount to your order. You can apply points acquired from previous deals to this purchase.

  • 30% Discount: The 30% discount will be off the full price before discount, not on the already discounted price.

  • So… the flavoured WPI are not necessarily 90% protein and it varies depending on the flavour we choose. Is it?

    • @Mr777 that's correct. The unflavoured is 90% protein and all the flavoured versions will be less than this with most between 80-90%. You can check on the Nutritional Info tab for each flavour by looking in the "per 100g" column.

      If you sign up to Club Z, you will benefit from our future promotions as we always have an additional incentive for Club Z members (eg. extra $10 for this deal, but also our newsletter deals will have similar perks). Also, Club Z prices are always cheaper than normal prices.

      If you go monthly for $9,99, after the trial, you will pay for the first month, but then every subsequent month you get that back in credit anyway. So if you order a few times a year you should be ahead pretty quickly. I'd suggest just to do the maths based on your spend. I hope this helps.

  • Any other long time club z members / frequent order placers have issues with z points tracking? Mine often don't go to my total, AFAIK it's when I use points as payment on an order, that orders points won't tally. I have to ask them via chat to add manually. They've mentioned previously they'll get IT to look at it, but its happened several times.

    Curious if its a known issue.

      We have had a few minor issues fixed but if it is happening every single order with yours and Z Points aren't being added at all, that does seem isolated.       Nah this company has absolutely unreal communication, its just a busy time of the year. Have you tried chat? Also i'm pretty sure they won't do that. Kinda defeats the purpose of the deal. Its to use the bonus funds at a later date with them, not during the cheap sale period

      We released the new Aussie Choc Malt around July/August. This one is completely reformulated and tastes significantly better than the prior one. So you're aware, the macronutrient profile has changed however, since we have added actual malt into this formulation, so the protein % is lower and carbohydrates are higher.

        Hi Jay. This comment made me double check Nutrition profile of Choc malt and just realized that its got significantly less protein and more carbs. I dont think when I ordered it in Feb 2023 Protein content was 65% but i cant be sure. I guess i will have to order some unflavored WPI to mix it up with choc malt to balance it out. I should have checked Nutrition profile of all flavors before ordering.

        • Hi @FiDad yes that is correct because that old version was quite a different formulation. The older version was much higher in protein %, but we received a lot of complaints about the flavour which is why we reformulated it completely.

          If you're unhappy with this one just shoot us over a private message on here and Vanessa will be able to sort this out for you. The macronutrient profile of this one is very different to all the other flavours and we're currently re-evaluating this flavour given that it is such an outlier.

          I did some back of the envolope math and you can mix 1:2 ratio of milo to unflavoured WPI to get the same macro as Amino-z's cho-malt. Don't know about how it would taste though.

            @Andrew1232: I can't say we've tried this combination so I cannot comment on how this would taste. Just taking a quick look also, sugar would be roughly doubled (from the sugar component in milo whereas we use thaumatin as the sweetener) and fat would be a little higher. Similar protein percentage overall as both malt in our Aussie Choc Malt and Milo are prevalent ingredients.

    Feel the need to give Amino Z an extra shout out, that while they were in the starting madness of their Black Friday sale, they PROACTIVELY emailed myself (and i assume other buyers from last deal) to say that one flavour had been reported as not being up to their usual standard by multiple people and that if i found the same, i could request a replacement.

    Hilariously it was the only flavour id not even opened as i had been struggling to make any dent in the 3 other bags, so i opened and tested it, and to be honest if it hadnt been too bad, i would have declined the offer of a replacement, but having tasted the quality of the other, it was a stark contrast. So i replied that i had just tested it, providing pic proof i had only just opened it (not that i think it would have mattered to these folk) and accepted the offer of a replacement flavour.

    Then the sale got underway, and i today got a nudge from my google inbox about following up, and i sent a quick message and said i suspected they were hella busy and that i was mostly following up to confirm the reports theflavour was indeed not on par with the others.

    Vanessa got back to me not logn after, apologised and confirmed they were VERY busy, but she had just processed my replacement order.

    Top notch people…

    If all companies were as good at this the ACCC could fold up shop….

      It had to be the worst timing (for our customer service team at least mid-promotion), but after some feedback a few pages back on the choc hazelnut flavour we released, we decided to send out this mass-mail. We did feel it was important in case anyone was stuck with a dud and I'm so glad you were looked after.

    These new flavours are crazy.

    Was kinda worried as im picky so just got original choc and a green tea sample. Please get more samples made when its not so busy.
    I couldn't imagine returning it just because the flavours not to 'my' liking

    Also, is anyone using this in a ninja creami?

    I placed an order last night, and the last time I made a purchase was in 2021. I wasn't pleased with some of the flavors, so I've decided to try new ones this time. I'm excited about it! The flavors I got are Iced Coffee, Smooth Milk Chocolate, Taro Milk Ice Cream, and Melon Milk. I will report back the best ones! I plan to share them with some friends, hoping they'll enjoy them too and possibly order some for themselves in the future. Thanks!

      Now they've switched to thaumatin, most of the flavours are pretty good.

      My personal favourites:

      1. Aussie Choc Malt
      2. Choc Cherry Delight
      3. Green Tea Matcha
      4. Coffs Harbour Choc Banana
      5. Vanilla Creamy (under-rated, but has the great ability to be mixed with raw Cacao powder and make it taste good).

    • Based on my first order several months ago, it takes a handful of days. I suspect it's a manual process.

      @rumblytangara thanks for asking. There is certainly a chance. I have tried a few prototypes on a mango flavour, but we haven't got something that has been good enough to release just yet. We previously had a mango, but it was stevia based and we are working on reformulating it. Unfortunately I don't have a timeline on this and cannot guarantee it as some flavours can take forever to develop.
