      • Thanks!

        • No worries!

      • Downloaded, let’s see how it goes ;)

  • Acquired with thanks.

      Thanks for downloading :)

  • Thankyou op

    • You're welcome :)

This would be amazing if it could pull data from my bank accounts.. @OP is that feature on the horizon?

    • +13

Possibly in the future, but I'm not too keen on this yet due to the security concerns around logging in apps with people's bank credentials.

      • I have been thinking about this too.

It would be a big task, but all banks offer excel or csv form output. If you had the patience, you can see what format they come out and let that be imported?

      • +7

That’s where you use an Open Banking CDR service for your bank feeds. Apps like Frollo and PocketSmith do this.

        • This is the way

        • Can anyone get access to every bank in Australia with this or only big companies if you get approved? Last I checked not many banks used it and you could not get transactions. For my own personal needs I just wrote web scrapper and access data this way, but would much prefer to use proper API.

          • @raspudala: I am sure all the major banks support it.
As a regular person there would be too much compliance and approval to jump through to become cdr compliant.

You could reach out to one of the providers to see how much it costs to use their platform. But this would be if you were building a product to sell. I would imagine It would be too expensive as an individual.
            https://www.cdr.gov.au/find-a-provider?providerType=Data%252…

Otherwise get a PocketSmith subscription. They have a full set of APIs on top of their service. Pocketsmith use Basiq as their CDR feed provider.

    • My thoughts exactly, everything is manual which is obviously time consuming.

  • +1

Nice little trick to get it free. It’s who you know what what you know.

    • Hahaha yes indeed ;)

  • Thanks OP

    • No worries :)

  • +1

Pretty clean app, I use EveryDollar, same sort of budgeting style however this app is a lot less cluttered and easier to quickly see everything. I might switch everything over to this one.

Also is the app purchase (free lifetime) tied to my Apple account or once I uninstall/reinstall will I lose the upgrade?

    • +3

Thanks, glad you like it! The lifetime premium is tied to your account, so you will never lose the upgrade :)

  • +1

Awesome. Secret found & Claimed. :)

    • ;)

  • Do you support raw data export? Would keen to export the data and do my own analysis on it in the future. Thanks for the app anyway!

    • +1

No worries! I'm looking to release this feature sometime next week.

      • Very cool! Thanks and keep up the good work!

  • I wonder if Spendee is worth paying for lifetime access currently $80 auto tracks ur spending

    • Spendee needs to add more banks

  • +4

    Thanks OP.

Also, I wanted to pass on my respect for not collecting any data on such an app, as other unscrupulous developers tend to do.

    Great work.

    • +1

Thanks for the kind words, really appreciate it :)

Is there a good android equivalent?

    • +1

I have plans to release an android version sometime in the near future.

I built the app with a tool/framework called React Native, which allows me to build cross-platform (iOS & Android), so it’s not too far fetched to have an android version sooner or later :)

      • Waiting for an android version too. Thanks OP 🙂

  • Does this just sync to icloud for IOS? or do you need to create an account?
I'm trying to see how I can enable sync across 2 devices (separate icloud accounts)

    • We currently only support iCloud backup, so at the moment, it’s only possible to back up and restore from your iCloud account.

  • Hi Op, though I claimed the lifetime free premium, the next time I open the app, it still shows the 80% off banner to ask me to claim.

    • Sometimes, it might take a few minutes to register the lifetime premium on your account. So, I hope it’s resolved by now.

  • Thanks op. Claimed

    • No worries :)

  • Any chance you’ll be adding the ability to have a login so that you can allow family members to add expenses / income?

    • We have plans in the future to do that since it’ll also be great for me to be able to share accounts with my partner :)

  • +1

Thanks for providing this for free. I just can’t see it being useful if every transaction needs to be manually logged though.

    • That’s a very fair point, there are some other apps where you can connect your bank account, but there are definitely privacy/security concerns around logging into apps with your bank credentials

      • csv import would be a good compromise, as a few others have suggested.

  • Many thanks! This is great, will recommend to friends after using it some more.

    • Thanks so much, really appreciate that :)

  • Nice design, I have been using "Bills Manager" for years it does the job but the interface is very basic. Looks smooth :) Thanks OP

    • +2

Thanks! I worked really hard to make the UI/UX seamless, glad that you notice it :)

  • Aha secret found!

    • ;)

  • Can we import the data from excel/csv to this app?

    • Currently not, but that’s definitely a good idea.

  • +1

Would this be a suitable replacement for YNAB?

  • +1

Cool app. As others have said, the UX/UI is really clean. I’m struggling to see what the use case is, though.

At present it seems useful for tracking cash flow, but why would I use this app instead of just looking at my bank apps directly?

I use the app Daily Budget to track my spending daily, and the thing I find useful about it is it’s designed for budgeting rather than cash flow. For instance, if I input an annual salary, it smooths it over the entire year, rather than making it a one off income. The same applies for expenses. It then calculates a daily amount of spending money after all expenses and desired savings, keeping a running total of what I have available to spend on.

    • Some users have multiple accounts across different banks, so tracking cash flow on one app is much more convenient.

This app does the same as Daily Budget as you described. Its set to monthly by default but you can change the setting to yearly, which then adjusts the monthly income to yearly income and same with recurring expenses.

+1 for what obviously is Indonesian surname.

    • +1

      Haha busted 😆

  • Thank you, love the name!

    • Thanks!!!! :D

  • Thanks and good luck

    • Thanks :)

  • Can you curate users data and publish a summary here so we can all know how rich the ozbargainers are?

    • Hahaha, we don’t keep users data from our end for privacy purposes, so that’s not possible 😆

  • +1

Add this as a feature: add a tickbox to specify if you are an obbargainer, at the end of the year compare the average expenditure of an ozbargainer and a normal citizen.

  • Thanks OP

    • +1

No worries, hope you enjoy the app :)

  • The animation in this app seems like 30fps

    • After some further testing, we did find out on some older devices, it’s not as smooth. However, this is something we’re aware of, and planning to optimize in the very near future.

  • I hope it comes with the function of sharing with other users so that he/she could also input the transaction record into the account as well

    • 100% agree, it’s something that I’ve been thinking about, and it’ll be very cool to have.

  • This is by far the clean app that i have used for budgeting. Promo claimed ✌️ would be nice to see if you can integrate with bank accounts as well.

    • Thanks mate! :)

  • +1

Nice app, UI and colour looks good.

Personally don’t use apps like these that require so much manual input, apps like this and workout apps require too much effort to track progress if I’m only at an enthusiast level.

    • Thanks for the feedback. For something more automatic, there are definitely some pretty decent apps out there :)

  • It works, thank you!

    • No worries, hope you like it :)

  • +1

    Nice! thanks, good looking app.

Minor quibble, can you add the ability to reorder your accounts. At the moment, the order you create them in seems to be the order they are forever. That can be worked around on initial setup where you can delete/rename things to suit, but later on it would be a pain if you add accounts (which is probably the case for ozbargainers and travelling types as better products come and go)

    • +1

      Thank you! :)

Love your feedback, I think that makes a lot of sense, I will probably include this feature in the release next week.

  • Thanks for the free app, +1 for the import function

    • Haha thanks for the download :)

  • Thank you. does it work across devices?

    • +1

Currently it only supports import and restore from your iCloud which can be done across devices, but no real-time syncing yet. Though, very keen to look into it in the near future.

  • +1

Thanks for sharing. Do you have calendar view and payment reminder functions? Thanks.

    • No worries! Currently we don't have those features, but the calendar view idea is something that I might explore in the future :)

  • Thanks, never have a budget haha but will give this a go finally. Don’t like those apps that require logging into my bank accounts

    • You're welcome! Haha good luck, I hope this app can help you budget and save some money!

  • +1

Any chance for an android version?

    • +1

This is something that I'm really keen to do as soon as possible. I'll publish an android version soon and publish this same promo again on OzBargain :)

  • I wish there are more spending categories like shopping, home, mortgage etc. Maybe look into major banks on how they classify spending categories.

    • I think you can add and customise your own categories in the settings page

  • worked for me. thanks. let's keep record of spending in this high interest rate period.

    • No worries! :)

  • Is there a way to set the recurring transaction on a chosen day of the month OP? (e.g. when I was trying to enter something in today, it was fixed on "day 30, every month" - but I wanted to chose "day 24, every month")

    • +1

You can change the date from Thursday, 30 November to Friday, 24 November. Then, you can set the recurring to every month. I hope this helps :)
