    Damn, much cheaper than wws

    • +1

      And includes international calls

  • +1

When does this need to be activated by?

    • +4

60 days after purchase to get bonus data(240G instead of 150G) and 1200 International mins

      • Is this confirmed anywhere? The sim image shows 240Gb standard and not 150gb + 90gb bonus?

        • this is correct i just bought one but activated it early

  • +1

    5G available?

    • +1

Yes, all Vodafone prepaid branded services have 5G (since a little over 12 months ago).

  • -6

Shxt signal and speed but very cheap.

    • +10

It's better than Telstra where I live so I guess it depends on your location.

    • +2

It works everywhere I need it, so it's obviously not the same experience for everyone, based on your location.

  • +10

Good deal, but Have to visit the store.. quite inconvenient for most of people.

  • Any idea which international locations included with 1200 mins calls…

    • +1

Bangladesh, Brazil, Canada, Chile, China, Colombia, Germany, Guam, Hong Kong, Iceland, India, Indonesia, Ireland, Israel, Italy, Japan, Kuwait, Malaysia, Mexico, Mongolia, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Peru, Puerto Rico, Romania, Singapore, South Korea, Spain, Spain Canary Islands, Sweden, Switzerland, Taiwan, Thailand, United Kingdom, the United States of America and the Vatican (Holy See).

      • Thanks !!

  • support esim?

  • Vodafone is terrible in Sydney. But this is incredibly cheap!

    • +2

That's not my experience in Sydney. What area are you referring to?

  • +2

If I’m already on this, what’s the best way to jump on this again?

Vodafone has 5G but be warned they also have the worst app I’ve ever used compared to the other telcos. Get used to having to login every couple of days

    • Why do you need to login please?

      • +3

Because the app likes to log you out when you close it. Vodafone can’t be stuffed to fix it.
So if you want to check your usage you’ll have to log in again every time you open the app

        • Can you use fingerprint login?

          • @FeZZa21: No, but you can set facial recognition if you’re in to that. Otherwise they send you a link through sms or email.

Not hard, just a big hassle having to do it every time you open the app. Other times the app just won’t open and will be stuck in an endless loading screen loop

      • You only need to login to check the remaining data or add roaming, I only use the app a couple of times a year to check this.
The phone OS shows me how much mobile data I've used anyway.

    • Get boost sim and port away for 25 days.. then port back in

  • Been using it from same offer earlier this year. Its been good, at least no downtime like Optus on the other day. Thing that I remember that I need to email them to activate the offer as the cashier seems no idea that they need to activate.

    • as in e-mail vodafone or costco? Sorry for the dumb qns

      • Costco

  • +5

ripped off by woolworths $150 deal last week!

    • might be a stupid question, but we are currently on a mointh by month plan with telstra. if we get this, do we need to call telstra to cancel plan or anything, or does the port out just take care of it automatically?

      • +1

no just port out straight away.

        • Thank you!

  • -1

    +1

  • +2

Silly question, having never been to Costo, is this offer only available today?
And there is no way to check stock online right?

  • This will probably be sold out relatively quickly, much like similar deals previously

    • Went to CostCo today, SOOOOO many in stock no issues there

      • -1

It doesn't help unless you also say which costco….

        • North Lakes, QLD

  • Price match with OW?

    • This is a costco exclusive plan

      • woolworths sells the same sim, how is this exclusive to costco?

        • +1

Says so on the graphic on the costco website

        • +1

The 1200 international mins to Zone 1 is exclusive to Costco members

    • No go. Just called to try

  • Even if you have to join Costco to get this deal, $164 for a year is pretty solid

    • Buy the the sim and cancel Costco membership… to get full refund of the fee, (just tell them it's not your cup of tea). The sim is just a product and will work for 365 days. I'd rather keep the membership as it's worth it.

  • ah… looks like it worth to go Costco today…

  • Shit I just bought the Kogan mobile last week! Wonder if I could still cancel that cause I haven't activated it.

    • In the same boat, have sent an email to get the order cancelled. Hope they cancel it and don't give lame reasons.

      • Have they responded? How did you go? I might just buy the Costco one and if they don't cancel, I'll just return the Costco Voda

        • Contacted Kogan on this number 1300056426 and they asked for the voucher code and cancelled my order. Refund will take up to 7 working days.

  • Anyone who bought the Woolies $150 SIM from last week's sale managed to get a refund? Their returns policy doesn't cover change of mind apparently…..

    • Sims are registered at the checkout with the service provider as sold, hence they can't be returned for a refund.

  • +3

Yeah but you have to go to Costco, just a pain.

    • Parking is nightmare especially peak hours such as weekend. Normally I went to Costco weekdays at the time before they close..

  • -1

Oh no I need… Can't buy it online?

    • @ Costco, in-Store

  • Can anyone confirm if today only? Thanks

    • +3

      Until 27/11

  • Probably not going to have 100s of SIM cards lined up in the store? Maybe like 15-30 per store?

    • States 'limit of 5 per member' so one would guess there'll be plenty…..

    • +1

Auburn had a couple hundred left

    • I am at Moorabbin now. There are about 200 cards left.

    • Canberra had about 150+ left

  • Anyone know if you can add on the $5 roaming to this for overseeas use?

    • +2

You can add on $5 roaming. However, it is not like how it would be on a post-paid plan where you use your phone like normal. The extra $5 gives you like x amount of data a day (I think it is somewhere between 200-300mb) and x amount of texts and calls

  • +1

I just bought 1 from auburn and they had heaps of stock maybe 150-250

Took a while, they had to take me to another desk after paying and another lady enabled the card.
Make sure you get taken through another step to activate otherwise costco system isnt telling vodafone the sim is sold and ready to connect.

    • Wow so can't get friend to buy and I activate next week myself?

      • Activate thru costco point of sale and giftcard company- nothing to do with connecting to the network

    • Thanks. My amaysim is expiring and this is great.

Is porting from another network allowed? And would that happen on the spot?

  • +1

I've just called Costco WA they only have 4l3 in stock that is almost a click bait haha.

    • +1

That is only for your store tho.

If they had 400+ per store throughout Australia how is that a clickbait?

      • Sorry I made a typo just 3 in stock and the store wasn't even opened yet also checked online before stores open 0 stock how you have 0 stock before the deal even started?

        • If you called the store before they opened then stock won't be accurate vs calling when they are open and have a staff member physically check.

        • Fake news. There's about 100 in stock in Perth when I saw them this arvo.

          • @mandelbrot: What? Haha no way. Far out I will call the store again haha

            • @Femelo: If you want it, don't fluff around. Just go there and buy it.

              • @mandelbrot: I didn't bwcaus é o stock haha called them again. It is 20 min for. My house

  • Sold out at the front of ringwood costco. Ask merch pick up they have it in the back

    • They put it on the shelf isle 105 in ringwood. Still plenty left.

      • All sold out at Ringwood. Staff said allocation gone.

  • +1

Anyone going, please also ask when this deal ends.

    Thanks in advance :)

    • +2

      I asked them, exp: 27/11

      • When does the sim need to be activated?

        • Within 365 days, as some comments below confirm.

  • If this is a Starter pack - does anyone know if you have to be with another provider to use this or can you already be on Vodafone and use this offer????

    • +1

Even if you have to change to Aldi $5 or boost sim for couple of days and then back to Vodafone.

      • Do you need to also buy a data plan or just switching over to the Aldi $5 sim, activate it and then after a few days ports back?

    • +1

$4.50 profit from boost sim card, port over to boost first then back to vodafone

  • +5

@tinselnoel the deal expires on 27/11, proof

    please update the deal, thanks

    • Updated, cheers!

    • The real mvp!

    • please tell what store was this at thanks g

      • Costco Ipswich, QLD

  • +1

Can we activate next year feb?

    • yeah wondering too cause my boost sim card ends next year Jan too. Wondering if we need to activate within 30 days of purchase?
