          I know Kmart sells Coles Myer group GC's and accepts AP payments, as for AP and GC's donno never used AP instore before.
          Others here are buying GC's so shouldn't be an issue.
          As for AP wallet vs on its own, wallet I guess.

                @ClaudeVL: Thereā€™s some good details about gift cards on the gift card wiki, but I donā€™t think thereā€™s a comprehensive list for where Afterpay is accepted in store for gift cards

                I only know Big W works because people above used it, and Kmart doesnā€™t because I tried it this morning (I donā€™t have a Big W near me). I forgot to try The Reject Shop, Iā€™ll head in tomorrow and try if no one else posts that it doesnā€™t work.

        Nah, the less $30 for $100 was done yesterday on the Afterpay app to get CW giftcards. Combined that today with a $50 spend instore at CW to less another $20

    Is it mostly bigw everyone is using? And did you grab mostly gift cards?
    Coles, woollies all sell gift cards.
    Unless shops have Xmas times changed then Gita few hours to wait.
    So you use your apple wallet with your Afterpay on there to purchase and if say whatever your buying be it gift card or something else I take you have to follow through to know if successful or can you see the amount being paid prior.
    I personally see this ending before I get to a store and just hope it works and not paying full price for whatever I get be it gift card or something else

      Was this using your after pay on apple wallet? And did you see how much you was paying prior to completing it or did not see until after it was done was this at self checkout as I have never been a fan of self checkout with gift cards

        Yes, afterpay card added to apple pay, no I wasn't able to see just tok the risk
        I actually went to in store tab within the app, searched BigW and used the pay in-store button it automatically did afterpay apple pay

        Easy to get giftcards and AP works at checkout. Just tap like a normal card. Canā€™t see but has been working for most so pretty safe

    Cool even though my big w was 8km away was worth the drive, I paid and said shit paid full price as nothing said it was less.
    Went on Afterpay and was all good so another score thatā€™s the $20 now and the previous $30 off.

    Shame I was not able to use the $40 which still sits in my account which I just missed out on previously maybe it will come active one day highly unlikely.
    I never knew you could pay for gift cards with your wallet and Afterpay is this only at big w or other places you can do this?
    Next time there is a deal on gift cards I may take the advantage of discount cards and paying in 4.

    Did i do something wrong? I added the promo code in afterpay app under promo and it worked. Then i went into BigW to buy assorted items and a $50 amazon gift card.

    Afterpay app is still showing the full price in my repayment. Total cost was $80. Showing paid $20 with 3 repayments of $20 (60) left. $20 has hit my credit card.

    If it helps with context, this is my first time using it. My nfc card initially got declined. Then worked the second time.

    I know this is a bit frowned upon (but level with me).

    If I only needed $20-30 worth of stuff from Bunnings, could I essentially buy what I need + a few other things to equal minimum $50 in one transaction, wait for AfterPay to give the $20 back and then return what I don't need (as a change of mind)? or would Bunnings report to AfterPay and that would invalidate the $20?

      Most likely it'll cause your repayments to be adjusted and void this promo, better off and safer to buy a GC to use later instead of taking this risk.
