    Can't upgrade

    • try logging out and back in

      • Tried this, but didn’t work. Also tried opening with incognito window as well, same result.

    • Same

    • They are on to us!

    • Also having trouble with the HSBC_LG_VIP code to upgrade my user account. Says invalid. Log out and re-login doesn't seem to fix and incognito as suggested above not helping. Any other suggestions from anyone? The discount 15% code also doesn't appear to work, at least without the VIP activation. Price on the 65 G3 is good!

      • I had the same issue - got mine to work by typing the code in - not copy pasting

  • Reckon we’ll get $1299 on a 42C2 on Boxing Day if not slightly better, probably worth that wait

I don't think the code is working at all for VIP upgrade

  • 77 temporarily unavailable, hopefully comes back soon. Also the other coupon has disappeared…

"Invalid key. Please try again with a valid key" anybody else getting this when they try to upgrade ?

  • Not able to upgrade to VIP.

    When entering 'HSBC_LG_VIP'

'Invalid key. Please try again with a valid key. Can't upgrade'

    • getting the same thing

      • also OOS

  • This video sums the tech up really WELL.
A deffo must watch to understand what's on the market atm.

  • Tried quite a few postcodes in NSW, Sydney, Newcastle, regional and rural. No Luck with my numbers.

  • Had to report deal as targetted. Just not working in all 4 of my accounts

  • +1

Yeah not working for me either. Tried multiple devices with multiple different browsers and incognito mode as well, with no luck.

    • It got patched already. Worked for my account earlier but after some time, the coupon disappeared.

      • Yup, they canned the 15% off coupon lol

Hope a better deal comes soon! Bit frustrated I took too long to decide getting the 65 G3. 😅

          • @zeno: I'm sure there will since I the King of Procrastination bought one……..

  • the code did not work to upgrade the membership :(

    • I believe they have canned both codes haha

  • Easy come easy go :(

    • will you let me go?

  • I wanted to get a 55 to try as a computer monitor. : (

    • I'm using a 42" C3 as a monitor for my Macbook Air M2 and it is wonderful. Needs some fiddling, but works perfectly.

Although, I still prefer curved to flat.

  • Damn shame I missed it, would have been good to upgrade account for future use

  • Probably missed the best and easiest way to become a VIP member :'( .. Good luck to all new VIPs

Crazy prices. Well done OP 👍

  • Such a garbage website trying to login just fails over and over no matter what browser.

    • It's case sensitive.
      Stupidly.

Try the first letter of your login email as upper case or lower case, see what happens.

  • Wow what a deal…

  • This deal is gone? Been out all day and missed it :(

Got a 20% spin and win so best I can do its $3999 for a 77" C3. Wanted a G3 anyway, which isn't on sale

    • How did you get the spin and win?

      • Via the spin and win web page a few weeks ago

  • VIP code doesnt seem to work now?

Getting "Invalid key. Please try again with a valid key."

    • Deal was expired 20 hours ago mate

      • Sigh slow as always…

  • I'm having difficulty tracking the order on their website.

Got an email with invoice and order number, with click here to track order yada yada yada

But everytime I enter order number, my last name and email, it keeps coming up with "you've entered incorrect data" etc

Anyone else having trouble with it?

    • Mine tracks fine, maybe try the postcode option

      • thanks. I logged into the LG members website and its tracking okay there. However the link doesnt work no matter what i try, email or postcode.

Anyways, hope this helps others. cheers.

  • My 65" C3 is on it's way but no actual tracking provided. The scheduled delivery tab shows 22/12/2023 but I don't like their chances. Hopefully I get some sort of notification as to what day to expect it :/

    • Which state are you in? I'm eagerly awaiting my order to update…

Edit - see your profile says you're in Brisbane… I'm in Perth.

      • Just received a call from DHL, they're arranging delivery next week. LG site so says preparing order.

        • Received a txt this morning. Delivery now either 10th or 11th

Looks like the VIP upgrade code HSBC_LG_VIP is working again. Holding out for another discount code

    • :'( I ordered a fridge literally yesterday evening and then this comment came by… Would have saved at least another $130 today.
But thank you. For future my prices will hopefully remain as VIP prices

      • Dont worry it is invalid again

Invalid key. Please try again with a valid key.
You are not eligible for VIP Program!

  • Bought this TV on 22-12-2023, got it delivered on 3-01-2024.
1 week in, today I turned TV on and there's a vertical line across the screen.
Tried all the usual basic troubleshooting, power cycling, pixel cleaning in the menu etc etc.
It's across all HDMI inputs, HDMI, apps, live TV etc.
Quick Google seems to point that this is a fairly common issue.
Raised warranty with LG support, they're trying to repair or refurb.
I'm pursuing a brand new replacement for sure, on a week old TV.
I thought LG warranty/service was league's better than say, Samsung, who I've personally had nightmare dealings with, previously.
    Time will tell.
Might have been better to go through a retailer, where I could just drag it back in.
Customer service, overall with all companies generally seems to be steadily downhill.
Happy to take the money , but throw up all sorts of obstacles when it comes to fixing problems.
    /Rant over

    • Good luck. Pls post if/when you get it sorted

      • 100% will.. considering we are all "VIP members" I would like to see how they treat their customers.

        • Just thought I would post an update comment on here since comments section sometimes closes on Ozbargain within 45 days of deal posting by OP.

Anyways LG have been terrible to deal with so far.

They kept pushing for repair or refurb for my faulty tv issue.

I had to push for a refund and then they changed their tune. Have offered me a new TV as replacement but that was nearly 2 weeks ago. Apparently they do not have it in stock.

Good luck to anyone who deals with LG warranty in case you have to. It hasn't been a good experience so far for me.

          • @metalhead: Hmmm that sucks. Super disappointing.

            • @Thiefsie: Not kidding !! At one point they were offering to take the TV back and give me "store credit".

Ha i laughed at that, the TV is currently back to $3499 or whatever on their store page. Like they expect me to take $2294.24 store credit and come up with the $1204.76 difference for the same tv replacement lol.

Then at another point, they said sorry, you will have to talk to your retailer.

I'm like, I bought it directly from you, or whoever who represent !! LG store !!

geez i tell ya what its been a $hit fest at times dealing with these muppets.

Ha, LG are requesting proof of an HSBC account for the VIP discount. Somebody has become slightly smarter behind the scenes there…

  • +3

Just got an email from LG asking to validate my HSBC account status to keep the VIP membership. May or may not be able to do this.

    Hi,

Thank you for your interest in the LG HSBC customer promotion by creating an account at LG.Com/au.

This promotion is exclusive to HSBC customers, in order to activate your LG account to redeem the promotion discount, we are required to validate that you are a HSBC customer.

Please reply to this email providing a screenshot of the top of your original HSBC bank statement clearly showing the HSBC logo, your name and HSBC bank account number. All responses must be received by 5:00pm AEST on 22 January 2024 to ensure that the coupon code is activated in time for you to make a purchase before the promotion expires on the 31 January 2024.

At LG, we value your privacy. We will not retain your bank confirmation data and will immediately delete the information following validation.

Please note that if we are unable to verify that you are a HSBC customer, your HSBC LG VIP account will be disabled and you will not be able to redeem the promoted discount. No responses to this validation request means that your HSBC LG VIP account cannot be validated and therefore will be disabled at the end of the promotion period.

Feel free to email us @ [email protected] if you have any queries.

    Thank you,

    LG Electronics Australia

Probably going to reply asking to take the status off, as the wording in the email makes me think they will disable my entire account if I cannot validate I am with HSBC.

    Thoughts?

    • Fair enough, did you make a purchase as a VIP?

      • Not in the end, no. I ended up getting a better deal at my local JB in amongst all the price matching chaos.
So I don't need this at the moment anyway. Would have been nice to keep for future deals though. Oh well.

        • Even if you are a HSBC customer, there is no way you would want to email that information they are requesting to LG random email.

I'm pretty sure you'd be in violation of some HSBC security account usage T&C's in the fine print somewhere.

Feel free to read thru HSBC t&c 500 page document in your spare time, on their website and prove me wrong though. 😁
