Serious horses under there, stellar price, wonder how much the Ti S will come out at.

    • Oh so there is a Ti super coming? I saw people talk about it then saw this wasn't it, didn't realize there was a 4070 super then a Ti S. I thought the Ti Super was just a meme

      • No it's a real thing. We should have some available to order within the next week or two hopefully. Pricing I think is about $600 RRP over the 4070 SUPER.

        • 16gb vram too so maybe capable as a budget 4k card? 4070ti is fairly capable in some games already but not quite there hoping this pushes it over the edge

          • @lookingforadeal7: 16gb and 4 k - are you for real?

            • @botchie: I'm under the impression that a 4080 can play 4k but maybe I'm wrong?

              • @lookingforadeal7: you are not wrong, 4080 super will do just fine
                they release in Feb
even thought it has 16gb, its better

                • @botchie: Yeah after looking at 4080 benchmarks and even 4070ti benchmarks running Cyberpunk 2077 with Ray tracing on max settings I feel confident a 4070ti super should be okay for the next year or two at least. 16gb should be a good improvement over 12gb 4070ti @4K. Of course this is with DLSS Quality on but that's a given.

                  • -1

@lookingforadeal7: thats the problem with Nvidia - they are pushing their AI on consumers and DLSS (by limiting VRAM on their cards)
as long as you use it on single player games and dont do any esporting I guess it fine, just bad consumerism

                    • @botchie: Yeah I only play single player games and only play multiplayer games casually so perfect for me, as long as I'm pushing 80fps+ I'm usually pretty happy, anything over 100fps is just a bonus for me. I think realistically it's the future if hardware can't be improved as much or it saves costs for consumers and if they continue to improve it technically your older GPU gets performance increases over time. I just hope they don't purposefully not give older cards features so that people are forced to buy newer cards just for better frame gen, that's when it gets really bad.

                    • +1

@botchie: What eSports game require that much raster or ray tracing?

              • +2

                @lookingforadeal7: I play 4k everyday on 3070ti.

                • +1

@Micsmit: I use Cyberpunk 2077 at max settings as a benchmark, usually I optimize my settings a little even if my card is overkill for more FPS but I like my high graphic games. A 4070ti unfortunately doesn't make the cut for the performance I want but a 4080 is too much for me. Im hoping the 4070ti super will be good option towards the end of the year and hoping it'll last me up until GTA 6 PC release, not in a hurry to buy so maybe i can get a 4080 down the line.

                  • @lookingforadeal7: I think 4070 Ti Super will come very close performance wise to the 4080 for cheaper but I think a 4080 at $1599 last weekend was the better buy if the TiS is launching at $1499. If you're willing to wait until the end of the year I think at that point you're better off waiting to see what the 50 series is like before making a decision.

                    • @basketballfreak6: Yeah I think max I want to be spending on a card is $1200~ mark so if the Ti S gets close I'll probably bite, I'll probably wait until 50 series is announced because that's when old Gen prices hit the lowest

      • +2

        It's a real thing, 256 bus vs 192, 800 extra CUDA, 16 vs 12 GB VRAM.
        Perf wise, you've increased your bandwidth from 504 GB/s to 672 GB/s.
This might not mean much to some, but for editing, it's massive.
The 4070 Ti Super is the biggest upgrade across all 3 GPU lineups.

        • +1

Best looking one out of the refreshes for sure.

    • 7500f + 4070 ti super will probably be $2100, just based on their 7500f + 4080 cost.

    • +2

Fixed, thanks, and I bid you adieu.

  • +1

    Damn that 7800x3d is nice.

  • Whats the actual 4070 super rrp here?

    • who knows, its all american prices really.
lowest i have seen on release is $1150 so far

people buying now pay the shiny new product tax

      • We do know. It's $1,100-$1,200.

        https://www.centrecom.com.au/?q=rtx%204070%20super

About right for USD 600 +10% GST +aussie markup for additional logistics/ACL coverage/profit etc.

        • So for 1600 this is a bargain then. Buy this. Sell the rest….profit.

          • +4

@Fergy1987: should just buy the faster 4070ti for $1179 then….

            • -1

@Lonewolf1983: yeah ppl jumping on rebranded "new tech" is crazy, 4070 ti super will be sub $1100 soon enough

              • @botchie: Come on, you're dreaming if you think the 4070ti super will ever be below $1100 with MSRP of $1500. You can't even get a 4070ti for that and it was released 12 months ago.

                • @coconutwombat: they were under $1,1k few months after release
                  https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/780557

                  • @botchie: Very liberal use of the words "under" and "few", ie. $1 and 6 months

If the 70ti super is priced under 1.1k in a few months, I'll buy one for you ;)

                    • @coconutwombat: think of it this way
4070ti is now under $1100 and was in the past - the reason it went up June/July is that our $$ tanked but this will balance out again when USA starts cutting rates which is soon.

the super version is the same card, why would it be more? - you have a bit more ram sure but it should be the same value overall

if the consumers weren't such donkey's nvidia would never get away with this crap but it is what it is.

  • how much better is the 4070 super is it just better to get a 4070 TI instead?

    • +1

the 4070 super has been benchmarked to be a little lower than the performance of the 4070ti and higher than the 4070 but at a cheaper price. probably the best value 1440p card right now.

      • +1

price wise though there isn't much of a difference. I feel you might as well just get a 4070 TI

        • +1

Correct, right now its not worth the price difference over the 4070
once the fomo launch price settles down should be a lot more decent of an upgrade

Sharing my personal experience purchasing from techfast. Ordered 28th Dec 2023.

I waited more than 3 weeks (16 business days) for them to tell me they were sending out my pc which was way longer than their advertised timeframes. I expect them to ship it tomorrow if their word is true.

Their cancellation policy is equally as bad as the build time I experienced, with you only being able to retrieve 55% of the purchase price in cash. Quoting from a support ticket:

"Upon receiving an order, we immediately begin processing the order. As every PC we sell is customisable (or made-to-order), this includes ordering stock, committing staffing resources, administrative work, and other related procedures, all of which represent a cost to our business. Therefore once an order is placed we cannot accept a cancellation and offer a full refund, be it for change of mind or any other reason, without cost.
Cancellations can be handled in two ways:
    1) Order cancelled and refund issued for 75% of the total cost, 20% will be provided in the form a one time use coupon and 5% will be kept by us to cover the fees associated.
    2) Order cancelled and a credit for the full amount provided, in the form of a coupon code to use on our website at any other time. This can be used in one full amount or multiple partial amounts."

This is fair enough and I understand. Still bad though.

The pc itself I expect to be fine, probably won't be any issues with the actual build. During business hours their support responded very fast (under a minute sometimes).

I am not discouraging anyone from buying from this business, just don't cancel your order and expect potentially way longer than advertised wait times.

I am not hating on them. Simply sharing information I wish I had known myself before buying.

    • +9

I dont mean to downplay your feedback, however, its not necessarily fair to judge a companies delivery times based on an order around the Christmas/New Year period. Many, many businesses completely close down for a week or more around that time, and many workers take holidays as well. If I order anything online or otherwise any time from mid December through early January, then I dont expect standard lead times to apply.

      • +15

I agree, that's why I specifically included the date and worded it like "my personal experience", "I waited", "I experienced" and "potentially way longer".

    • +1

Damn, hoping to get my order soon 😭

    • +2

Wait, is it 55% or 75%? If I understand correctly, the way (1) is 75% back in cash, 20% as a coupon and 5% lost?

      • +1

Yes I think I'm stupid, my bad. I'm pretty sure you're right that does make sense.

(I read it as 20% of that 75% would be in coupon so only 55% back in cash)

    • +3

I feel you. I ordered on December 26th and have not received any updates since then.

The cancellation policy wasn't mentioned during the ordering process, except in the Terms and Conditions on their website. If I had been aware of their cancellation policy before placing the order, I would have reconsidered my decision, although the likelihood of canceling is minimal.

    • +4

I am in the same boat, and have not received a reply to my email nor from @luketechfast. Over 5 business days since the latest advertised shipping timeframe.

For those saying Christmas and New Year orders should be taken into account, note that those days have already been into account when calculating business days.

Moreover the onus is on the business to ensure accurate timeframes are stated on the website, and that they are updated during holiday periods if required. I'm a business owner myself and this simply is not a valid reason to lie to your customers.

Given that shipping times constitute a major reason why consumers choose to buy from a certain business over another, failing to adhere to it without valid reason falls under misleading and deceptive conduct under the ACL.

Very disappointed and I hope ozbargain carries out better enforcement over these businesses.

    • +5

Same experience a year ago, took months to come, they had neglected to send one of the monitors I ordered with it and the PSU had to replaced recently as they put in a defective gigabyte PSU. My mate experienced the same issue with their PSU

Won't ever go through TechFast again

    • +2

As an alternative experience, I had ordered a PC for my son for Christmas during the Black Friday sales from another seller. By Friday 15 December it was clear it wouldnt be arriving in time as they were closing for Christmas after that day.

Ordered another PC from TechFast that night (15 December) and it arrived on my doorstop on 21 December.

    • I'm staggered that I'm the only person to neg any of these deals given that evidently I'm not the only person to experience this. This behaviour is not ok.

  • +3

Damn, makes me wonder if I made a mistake building a PC myself

    • +18

don't get buyers remorse, there will always be newer, better performing and better value cards as time goes on. money is already spent just enjoy your pc. you also gained a lot of knowledge from building your own machine which would not be attained from buying a prebuilt.

      • +4

Thankyou i really needed to hear this. I just blew $3k on a 7800x3d + 4070 build (white components and lots of RGB) and almost kinda regret it but thankyou i hope i can enjoy it and not think abotu the cost, seeing as i won't need a upgrade for quite a few years

      • +2

Totally agree man; built my PC end of 2022 for a lot more $ than what the pre-built technically could've gotten me but then I thought at least I got to choose the exact parts I wanted, how the PC looked and the feeling of satisfaction when it's completed and cable managed and everything.

        https://flic.kr/p/2omPoJk
        https://flic.kr/p/2omPoQn

        • That’s a pretty sick build, I’m thinking black and white as the theme for mine. All black out parts with RGB set as all white. Also quick question, is there a way to sync RGB with just one application? Given that usually AIO, Ram and what not all comes from different brands

          • @RobBoss: Thanks man; I stuck with all Corsair parts for simplicity but I know there is a free app out there that allows you to control the RGB all from the one program I just can't remember the name but do remember reading up on it, supposedly very popular and highly configurable but with a slight learning curve IIRC.

And yea black theme with white light looks good:

            https://flic.kr/p/2oopjq7
            https://flic.kr/p/2oomNY8

            • +1

@basketballfreak6: Dayum that's clean, thanks for the tips. Corsair it is since they make AIO, RAM and fans. Wallet gonna bleed haha.

              • @RobBoss: Hmm not sure why but seems like my reply didn't post but go look for a Hynix kit very tweakable I got mine running at 6200MHz 30-36-36-30 + Buildzoid's secondary timings.

    • +2

My goodness!! I built my PC last month and I regret seeing such killer deal :(

      • I guess another way to think about it, when building your system, there is a lot more customisation and the use of pretty high-end parts across the board.

  • Waiting on the 4070ti Super build (want 16GB VRAM)… swap the 4070 with the 4070ti Super in the first machine when it comes out! Hopefully sub-$2k for crazy fast gaming PC.

    • Question is do you go for the better 8 core CPU with 4070super or 6 core CPU with 4070ti super.

RRP for 4070ti super will be $1499. RRP for 4070super is 1119

      • +1

rrp means squad all, it will go down soon enough to what you are paying now, 1-2 months before the first sale
then again next year you will get a new card anyway so….
generally the 40 xx series has been ass and way too expensive

      • +4

I'd rather 7600/7500F with 4070Ti Super. Will get more frames in the games I play.
Recent Hardware Unboxed video sums it up: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4Ij1CxfKq6g

        • Interesting. So it depends….

  • 2 questions, is the wifi adapter free? And is it possible to pick up the pc?

    • -1

No its not included free and yes if you are local, reach out to the sales team at [email protected] to check with them

  • +2

Whooooo! I bought the AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D | RTX 4070 SUPER Gaming PC :D

Now let's wait :D hopefully is techfast!

  • +1

Now we wait for BPC to join and pick one out of the three suppliers!

  • How many HDMI and DisplayPorts are available? I am using 6 screens and I prefer connecting them all to the system without additional adapters.

    • The card will have 4 ports, usually 1x HDMI 3x Display port

  • Additional 1TB 2.5" Solid State Drive ($119.00) - What about a 2TB SSD option? Available? How much? I prefer using GDrive on an SSD instead of HDD.

  • +2

So which has the best bang for buck out of these custom PCs coming out recently?
I decide on one and then another deal comes out and now I’m lost lol

    • Probably their 3060 12gb deal? Judging from the comments…

      • +1

I was contemplating whether the 4060 is better for an extra 200 but yeah I think for 700 it’s great. Might go with that one thanks!

  • +1

Caleb & Luke; How about a nice team blue setup, gold PSU, RTX 4060ish, in a mini case, with none of this RBG crap. Powerful yet modest in a nice little package :P

  • Hey Luke, can we know the brand/manufacture of the 4070 in the build; R5 7500F, RTX 4070 Super, B650 $1588

  • 7800X3D stock cooler?

    • Didn't think they came with a cooler

      • +1

If you buy a x3d retail it does not come with a cooler, but you can get those amd wraith coolers on their own and that's probably what these guys are doing

  • Hey Luke, what cooler is used for the 7800X3D? And what temps are on average with the standard cooler. Cheers

    • and is there only 1 m.2 slot? cheers

      • 2 m.2 slots. 2 PCI E slots

  • +2

Cant wait to get my December 4090 build. Its been such a painful wait.

  • Seeing as 4070 Ti Super is $380 more expensive than 4070 Super (going off Nvidia rrp) - reckon a $2300 7800x3d + 4070 Ti S might be possible?

    • Personally I don't think it will, you will need a better PSU and it's something you don't want to skimp on.

    • On launch? Doubt it, given that the 4080 + 7800x3d has not even gone below 2600 here for a prebuild (at least, as to my knowledge and after a cursory glance at recent postings). On a more questionable topic, I swear that techpowerup had the 4070 ti super benchmarked yesterday, but it's gone today in their comparisons (I even have the backtrack history on the tab to prove it! https://imgur.com/a/7TxHOW7), and they showed a relative 10-15% difference in performance between the 4070 ti super and the 4080 at 4k averaged out across games. At your targeted price point, there's an argument to simply just move up for the increased performance.

      • I seem to be able to access it here:https://www.techpowerup.com/gpu-specs/geforce-rtx-4070-ti-super.c4187
According to the Relative Performance chart, it is saying the 4080 is 15% faster.

  • Hi guys, I'm new here. How do I order with this price? When I click go to deal, it shows the price of $1788 not $1588 as per the message for the Ryzen 5 7500F. Thank you

    • +1

You need to put in the coupon code 7500F-4070-JAN

      • Thank you very much

  • +3

@luketechfast, my son is dead keen as his old computer stopped working last night, but wants a realistic estimate on shipping these out please.

I ordered on Boxing day maybe an hour after you advertised and I'm still waiting delivery and that's got him a little worried about being without a PC for weeks.

Thanks very much and nice one on all the deals.

  • +5

Also waiting for my boxing day build, and no proactive comms from Techfast. I get the holiday period slows things down a bit, but considering the post stated they were "scheduled to ship from early January onwards" it's not all that great.

  • I was gonna jump on this deal but kind of don't want to wait 3 weeks for it

  • Is there tracking orders, I ordered and havn't actually got a proper 'confirmation' or receipt.

    • I got an email immediately and in the web I can see:
      Status: Order Placed

Email them my experience is that they reply the emails quite fast!

  • I ordered yesterday and am yet to receive any sort of email. Payment has come out though..

    • @luketechfast can you have a look at this please? I've sent a message via your Contact Us page also.

      • Check via your website login, mine still just says order placed after 20 days.

Also - their email may've gone to your spam…

  • Ordered the Boxing Day i9 4090 system fully optioned @ $5k. Reached out to them to discuss the possibility of upgrading some of the components further (at my additional cost of course). After complete lack of communication for days and days at a time, I was informed no modifications or cancellations were possible because components were already ordered and staff scheduled to complete the build. They refused to provide a phone number or call me. Disappointed, but accepting, I ordered the MSI Thunderbolt expansion card compatible with the motherboard in this deal. After being assured it was due to ship imminently, over a week later I received an email stating they don’t even have the motherboard they sold me a month ago, and can’t even provide an ETA for when they will. I will be lodging a dispute with my credit card company. Purchase at your own risk, you’ve been warned.

    Full email transcript for transparency:

    Me - 3rd of Jan

    Hey guys,

Would it possibly be too late to cancel this order by any chance?

    TechFast - 4th of Jan

    Hi Dan,

    Thanks for reaching out.

Unfortunately, we are not able to simply cancel your order at this stage.

Upon receiving an order, we immediately begin processing the order.
This can be used in one full amount or multiple partial amounts.

Please let me know your thoughts on this, and if you have any questions, don't hesitate to ask.

    Me - 4th of Jan

Cheers for the quick reply Caleb!

Any chance you guys could match this deal instead?

    \<snipped out of respect \/\>

I don’t care so much about the case or RGB. But the better RAM, mobo and GFX card.

Do you guys have a phone number that I could call for a chat?

    Me - 5th of Jan

    Hey guys,

Just following up on this one. Would love to sort this out one way or another :)

    TechFast - 5th of Jan

    Hi Dan,

Apologies for not getting back to you sooner.

Unfortunately, we don't have an active phone line at the moment.

We aren't able to do any price matching sorry, these systems are already quite heavily discounted.

Please let me know if you have any other questions.

    Me - 5th of Jan

No probs man, I’m sure you guys are busy!

Yeah I understand guys, it’s ok if you guys are more expensive, but are you able to do a similar build with ASUS Strix mobo, GFX and faster RAM? Happy to pay more than PCCG if it’s a fair price :)

    TechFast - 12th of Jan @ 7:30PM (a full week later)

    Hi Dan,

Unfortunately, we don't have a phone line at this time and all inquiries are handled via email at the moment.

We aren't really able to deviate from the original configuration aside from the upgrades listed on the options in the build page.

We don't really do custom builds and all stock is based on what is available at the time, and what is mentioned on the ozbargain page.

Let me know if you have any other questions.

    Me - 13th of Jan

    When will it arrive approximately?

TechFast - 15th of Jan (2 days later)

    Hi Dan,

It should be shipping out this week and will likely arrive to you early-mid next week.

Let me know if you have any other questions.

TechFast - 23rd of Jan (over a week later)

    Good afternoon Dan,

I hope this email finds you well.

We are just reaching out in regard to your boxing day order placed with us.

Firstly, we would like to thank you for your patience during this busy period, and particularly after facing these delays on your order.

An update on where we are currently at with these orders. Unfortunately, these delays experienced are due to an issue with our shipment of the MSI PRO Z790-P WIFI motherboards offered with these builds. Due to circumstances outside of our control, the shipment has been delayed to us and is expected to arrive to us some time early next week.

We have been able to source an alternative motherboard, the Gigabyte Z790 Gaming X AX which we are expecting to receive tomorrow. If you would be happy to swap to this alternative, we can process your order with the utmost priority upon receiving the shipment of motherboards.

If you would prefer to stick with the MSI motherboard, we will process your order ASAP as soon as they arrive to us.

Due to this delay, we will be processing a refund of $50 for your order for the inconvenience.

Please let me know your thoughts on this, and if you have any questions, don't hesitate to ask.

And again, thank you so much for your patience and understanding.

Looking forward to hearing back from you.

    Guys,

This whole process has been an absolute farce. I asked to cancel the order. After an absurd back and forth via email, and flat refusal to even call me, you said it couldn’t be done because you had already ordered the components and scheduled staff to build it. Then what, a month later, after I’ve already purchased an MSI thunderbolt 4 expansion card for a PC you’ve forced me to proceed with, now you’re telling me you indeed dont have stock of the motherboard and can’t even give an ETA for when you will.

At my earliest convenience I will be lodging a dispute with American Express. This is unacceptable. At this point the alternate deal I wanted to buy is now gone. So thanks for that too. Do better.
