Update 2: Well done, y'all have managed to clean out most of Samsung EDU Australia Mobile. Stay safe and stay inside, UV Index through the moon most days 🌚

Note: If you don't want to bother with the app, just order using your PC. You'll lose out on the 5% off extra which isn't too bad.

Alrighty.

Part 1:
1) Download the Samsung Shop App
2) In settings switch to the EDU account
If you've already used the first mobile order discount, you can create a new EDU account. For example if you signed up with Samsung EDU directly then use UniDays to make a new account or vice versa.

Part 2:
1) On the mobile app add an S24 256GB to cart
2) Select the free 1 year Samsung Care
3) Select nothing to trade in (we'll do this later)
4) In the next page it'll ask you to add extra stuff. Add your addons as desired as per the deal combination section after these instructions.
5) On the checkout page input the GALAXYAI voucher.

Part 3)
1) Download the Samsung Trade In app on your phone. Edit: You can also do this directly during check out. Select "I am new to trade in" on check out.
2) Go through the promts, and make sure to select SCREEN CRACKED. This ensures your device value is $1 so you pay $30 non-return fee; if your device tradein value is more than $30 then you pay $60. This is because you are NOT sending in your device to Samsung.
3) Obtain trade-in code

Part 4) Redeem bonus trade-in code
1) Check out and pay the amount with the 5% off mobile.

Deal #1: Galaxy S24 + Galaxy Tab S9 for $1558.03 OOS

The maths:

(S24 $1119.20 + Tab S9 $1039.20 - $100 eVoucher - $200 GALAXYAI code - $250 trade in bonus - $1 device value) * 0.95 mobile app 5% off = $1527.03

Now you'll be charged a non-return fee after I think 2 weeks after your stuff is delivered = $30 non-return fee + $1 device value = $31

Total $1527.03 + $31 = $1558.03

Cost works out to be:

        Don't know why you neg this deal as that is a decision Apple enforced onto Samsung.

        It only affects iOS users who do not have access to Android phone or bluestack who also want the 5% first time purchase on the Samsung Shop app.

      Camera quality - S24's camera is the same as the S23 which was the same as the S22…

      I think Pixel 7's camera is better than S24/23/22 at photos (particularly things in motion) but not at recording

    Thank you for the OP for such detailed post. It helped me save a lot of money.

    Here was my purchase:

    • Government portal (family member had a gov email address)
    • $1759 - Galaxy S24 Ultra 258GB 12GB (govt portal price, this was 150 cheaper than the 512 GB and the smaller storage is fine for me)
    • 1 Year Samsung Care FREE
    • $517 Galaxy Watch 6 LTE 44mm (GOVT portal price)
    • minus $250 - Trade in (trade-in is less on govt portal, normally $350)
    • minus $150 - Samsung S20 (I'll be trading it in)
    • minus $150 - Accessory discount (standard on the website)
    • minus $200 - Loyalty discount ( I went on chat at 7 am this morning, said I want to purchase an S24 ultra and the bot basically gave me a code instantly)
    * minus $200 - Pre-Order Discount (GALAXYAI)

    (note I did not use the Shop app as it doesn't support govt so I gave up the 5% discount however the govt prices were good)

    So total was $1326 for a S24 Ultra 256 GB + Galaxy Watch 6 44mm LTE + 1 year Samsung care - my old S20 which I would be too lazy to sell anyway.

        Via the website, you may need to be logged in to make it easier, just click on the bottom right chat icon and ask for a loyalty discount. I think the CME discount is for the Ultra and they seem to be giving it way without any issues. If you dont intend to buy the utra just say what you do intend to buy but then your luck may vary.

          If you know anyone with a edu email (and they aren't going to ever use it to set up a samsung edu account for themselves) all they need to do is click on a link for you that samsung will send them. You dont need access to their edu account.

          Nope, but you do need to have a trade in to trigger it.

          I select the phone I want and then under it, it asks if you are doing a trade in. Put in your trade in code (or just say you are new and select your phone instead) and then when you click next, it will say something like "you have $150 evoucher to spend"

          Recommend you to spend around $350 as the GALAXYAI code will give you another $200.

                  @pinkybrain: You use your own personal email to setup the edu store sign in.
                  Samsung asks you for the .edu.au email address and sends a confirmation email for the owner of that email address to click on a confirming link.
                  Only one samsung edu account can be set up for each .edu.au email, so you’ll need to find a friend with one.
                  Do you know any kids at school, volunteer firefighters, council workers?

          I got it to activate before doing any trade in. I selected a s24 phone and preordered then it told me I had $150 to spend on accessories so added to order. Use GALAXYAI code after that to get the extra discount on accessories. $200 extra for s24 ultra, $150 extra for non ultra. Hope that helps, was a very long day with this!

    PSA: You can cancel any unneeded accessories to further reduce your order total.

    1. After ordering, head to your order history or use this link - if your order status is awaiting review, you’ll need to wait until it moves to processing
    2. Find the cancel order option and select that - don’t worry there will be a popup to confirm cancellation
    3. Select all the accessories you want to cancel and select a reason - you can see the refund amount under each item
    4. Voila! Your new order total should be updated and you’ll receive a refund for any cancelled items

          I think there is extra discount doing this because part of the galaxyai code discount goes to the phone and not the accessories looking at the order. As needed accessories to get the full discount? But yeah hopefully it works for everyone so we know for next time!

      Just an FYI that they can cancel your order if you do this.

      From memory I've had this happen a few years ago I think during the S20 FE or the S21 launches I can't remember which, I used to own both phones.

      But do let us know if it goes through because if it does, you're getting an insane deal on the vanilla S24.

          This is risky as you'll be buying things you don't want/need.

    this was AFTER my Drivers license uploads and Credit card details.
    Ive received notifcation that my CC has now been debited for the security part of the trade in, but dont have any order confirmation from Samsung.
