Note: If you don't want to bother with the app, just order using your PC. You'll lose out on the 5% off extra which isn't too bad.

Alrighty.

Part 1:
1) Download the Samsung Shop App
2) In settings switch to the EDU account
If you've already used the first mobile order discount, you can create a new EDU account. For example if you signed up with Samsung EDU directly then use UniDays to make a new account or vice versa.

Part 2:
1) On the mobile app add an S24 256GB to cart
2) Select the free 1 year Samsung Care
3) Select nothing to trade in (we'll do this later)
4) In the next page it'll ask you to add extra stuff. Add your addons as desired as per the deal combination section after these instructions.
5) On the checkout page input the GALAXYAI voucher.

Part 3)
1) Download the Samsung Trade In app on your phone. Edit: You can also do this directly during check out. Select "I am new to trade in" on check out.
2) Go through the promts, and make sure to select SCREEN CRACKED. This ensures your device value is $1 so you pay $30 non-return fee; if your device tradein value is more than $30 then you pay $60. This is because you are NOT sending in your device to Samsung.
3) Obtain trade-in code

Part 4) Redeem bonus trade-in code
1) Check out and pay the amount with the 5% off mobile.

Deal #1: Galaxy S24 + Galaxy Tab S9 for $1558.03 OOS

The maths:

(S24 $1119.20 + Tab S9 $1039.20 - $100 eVoucher - $200 GALAXYAI code - $250 trade in bonus - $1 device value) * 0.95 mobile app 5% off = $1527.03

Now you'll be charged a non-return fee after I think 2 weeks after your stuff is delivered = $30 non-return fee + $1 device value = $31

Cost works out to be:

    For the trade in, I know it asks about the condition of the phone, my S22 Ultra has a tiny crack on one of the rear cameras. Is that something that they will pull me up for? Because if I tick yes to cracks, it drops from $555 to $40…

      Did you actually get the watch? I filled in the form and it said there were plenty of watches left on the tally next to each watch. Now after weeks of chasing it up they say i did not get a free watch. The form clearly said there were over 100 remaining in the redemption page but they have refused to give me a watch.

    I have access to the edu store. I set it up ages ago, with an old edu email account.

    If I make a purchase through the edu store, do I have to prove I am a student?

      You need access to an EDU email if you don't already have a verified education Samsung account. The EDU status lasts 1 year so you might need to renew it anyway.

    I did a very similar deal back in the day for the s21U no trade in ($30fee) and it was crazy good value.

          Yeah I did it with mine and don't seem to have an issue. To add to that, I was even able to use the S24Ultra trade in personal coupon I was sent from samsung for the additional $200 off the Ultra when trading in.

    Anyone know if Alumni email addresses work for the Education Store? I've got an @alumni.swinburne.edu address - but I haven't received the authentication pin the website is saying it sent.

      Yes, my alumni email works but its @alumni.sydney.edu.au. you need .edu.au at the end.

      Edit: Also the authentication pin is very unreliable. May take half an hour to come through sometimes.

        Also having issues with the trade-id being invalid. Doing it via the Shop App doesn't allow me to grade the device like I can via the Trade Up app.

        Edit: Tried clearing the data on the Trade Up app and trying again but still doesn't work.

          I would actually send my Samsung watch. The trade in value is $160 and I don't have to pay $30 for not sending it. So I will sell it for $190. I am not sure how much more I can get if I sell it on ebay, but I know it will took me quite a lot time to do it.

    Thank you OP!!! Great timing as I was needing a new phone.
    Got the S24 Ultra + Galaxy Watch 6
    and traded in an old S10 with cracked screen ($1)

    Paid $1431. It's hard to figure out if I got all the discounts but I am a first time app user and I got a prompt initially that 5% discount will be auto-applied. However, I don't see that in the breakdown.

    Anyhow I'm happy with what I paid for the two items :)
