[Pre Order] Samsung Galaxy S24 + Tablet/Buds/Watch + Samsung Care from $882.58 (with Non-Return Trade-in) @ Samsung EDU & App

2521
GALAXYAI

There's the generic deal page but I thought I'd post this separately because of trade-in shenanigans.

Update: Looks like most addons are OOS.

Update 2: Well done, y'all have managed to clean out most of Samsung EDU Australia Mobile. Stay safe and stay inside, UV Index through the moon most days ๐ŸŒš

Note: If you don't want to bother with the app, just order using your PC. You'll lose out on the 5% off extra which isn't too bad.

Alrighty.

Part 1:
1) Download the Samsung Shop App
2) In settings switch to the EDU account
If you've already used the first mobile order discount, you can create a new EDU account. For example if you signed up with Samsung EDU directly then use UniDays to make a new account or vice versa.

Part 2:
1) On the mobile app add an S24 256GB to cart
2) Select the free 1 year Samsung Care
3) Select nothing to trade in (we'll do this later)
4) In the next page it'll ask you to add extra stuff. Add your addons as desired as per the deal combination section after these instructions.
5) On the checkout page input the GALAXYAI voucher.

Part 3)
1) Download the Samsung Trade In app on your phone. Edit: You can also do this directly during check out. Select "I am new to trade in" on check out.
2) Go through the promts, and make sure to select SCREEN CRACKED. This ensures your device value is $1 so you pay $30 non-return fee; if your device tradein value is more than $30 then you pay $60. This is because you are NOT sending in your device to Samsung.
3) Obtain trade-in code

Part 4) Redeem bonus trade-in code
1) Check out and pay the amount with the 5% off mobile.

Deal #1: Galaxy S24 + Galaxy Tab S9 for $1558.03 OOS

Total $1527.03 + $31 = $1558.03

        Yes thats what I bought….
        Doh!

So my ultra could have 984 rather than the 1184 I paid.

        Ultra buyers take note.

        • Are you sure it stacks becuase this code also starts with CME?

          • @Ash-Say: No idea. I hope someone tries and wins
I read earlier someone stacked two similar cme codes.

            • @feisty: It did not stack when I tried in the afternoon. I applied the second one and it removed the first one as price went up $200. If it worked for @jimojr lucky for them! But better check your total to see if it works or not! No one else mentioning stacking them to work?

          • @Ash-Say: Yes, it's stacked with another CME code I received via email.

            • @jimojr: Well done. I think you got the bargain of the century!

            • +2

@jimojr: I dont think it stacked 2x CME codes unless i have missed something.
              You said "bought Galaxy S24 Ultra 512GB + 3 x Galaxy Buds FE + Case about $1500"
              So you would have:
              512GB Ultra EDU price $1919.20
              Buds FE EDU price = $99 x 3 = $297
              Case = $53-79
Minus $5 trade in phone value
              Minus $250 trade in bonus
Minus $200 additional trade in bonus with CME code
              Minus $150 accessories voucher
              Minus $200 accessories GALAXYAI code
Total = $1464.20 - 1490.20 depending on case you picked.

If you stacked 2 x CME codes, it should be less than $1300 but you said it cost you around $1500.

    • can you post a screenshot?

      • Yes screenshot will be handy to see how diacounts were applied

    Deal #6: Galaxy S24 + 4 x Galaxy Buds FE for $946.99

    out of stock

  • I can't see the option for choosing "I have a cracked screen" , it just applies the trade in discount and says i will need to send the phone back.

edit: going through the trade in process now, still couldn't see "cracked screen", but I selected "screen burn" which it actually has. It's saying the security charge is $1. The trade in credit then changed from -$165.00 to -$1.00. Does that mean I just don't send it back now and forfeit the $1.00 security charge?

    • +1

      plus the non return fee

      • You know how much non return fee?
        Some said $30 , some said $60

  • Anyone have issues with the trade up app not being able to process security charge payment? I keep getting "unable to process your payment. Please try again" error.

    • nah worked for me just now

      • Seems like my address is blacklisted by Samsung.

    • It happened to me when I used the TradeUp app. I believe you are not making the same mistake. Customer rep told me to use the shop app, and then everything went smoothly.

      • I thought you need to use the trade up app to generate the trade id? Is that not the case?
So i can just do the trade in through the shop app and choose not to send in the device?

        • I think that is not what the process is now. Someone mentioned a code that only works in real life store?

You can do trade in through the shop app now.

  • does anyone know what are the listed prices for

S24 ultra 256gb and 512GB on the edu store?

is the 512 GB same price as the 256GB cos of the current promo?

    • +1

      No, 256gb for $1759.20, 512gb for $1919.20, 1TB for $2239.20.

      • are those prices with the 20% off already?

interesting cos on the regular samsung store
512GB is selling for $2199 which is the same price as the 256GB

        • Yea those include 20% off. The regular store has free storage upgrade (256 -> 512) for the same price as the original storage unit price

    • Yes they are giving out the 512 at the 256 price.
Theres no confusion. Its all over the choose your model screen.

  • +3

    Thanks for sharing.
I managed to buy the S24 512G for $734 (Phone only).
    Here are the tricks:
    Education store for 20% off
First app purchase for additional 5% off
Trade in bonus for $250 off
    Default $100 bonus for accessories
GALAXYAI promo code for additional $200 bonus for accessories
    Important:
    1. Need to pick at least $300 accessories to just trigger the default bonus.
    2. Follow the process and place the order normally. you pay roughly $9xx bucks.
    3. Cancel all the accessories and only leave the phone (and free 1 year Samsung Care).
    4. The phone price alone will be the $$ you got charged now with the deduction of the canceled accessories. Mine worked out to be $734 for the phone. Of course the refund for the accessories might be processed later once the phone is dispatched.
Following this process you should be able to get a cheap price for the phone only if you don't want any accessories since most of the good ones are out of stock now.
This method should also work for S24 plus and ultra models.

My order status is now 'Awaiting dispatch'.

Or choose the ultra (256 but you get 512) and add the extra 200 trade in bonus to the included trade in bonus (see above) thendo all the other discounts including loyalty
      Total around $984

      • I think upgrade in storage for free is only on normal store? On education store it's the 20% off?

        • Thatโ€™s right - no free storage upgrade on Edu or EPP

      • How do you get the 512 down to $984, I tried but it wonโ€™t come down that far

        • All the standard discounts as mentioned plus the loyalty $200 discount via chat plus the extra $200 extra trade in samsung community (both of these are CME codes)
Start reading from this comment up a page. The info is there.

          • @feisty: Oh they also sent me 2 CME code but they are not stackable in my case, maybe you got lucky they give you the one that works

            • @ozvictor: Was one for the 200 bonus phone trade in. 2 people have said they stacked this with the loyalty code.

              • +1

@feisty: Jimojr said they 2 cme code but it didnt actually give any extra discount.
Not sure who the other one is that said it stacked.

              • @feisty: both codes are not stackable, cos they do the same thing

                ie
-bonus $200 trade in code starts with CME

          • @feisty: the loyalty code and community code are not stackable.

            • @pinkybrain: Cheers. I did as well as I could then without returning anything. Thanks for the heads up

One more thing. If you have graduated from Uni already and currently don't have a student email address to receive verification code for Education Store. Check if your university provides Alumni email or forwarding service (most of them do). The email address normally look like '[email protected]' for example depends on which Uni you have attended in the past.
I think any email address with 'edu.au' or 'edu' at the end should do even you have graduated.
      Good luck!

      • Only .edu.au.

My Swinburne .edu alumni email didn't work, but my wife's ACU one which is .edu.au did work.

    • Thanks, did this as well. Was tossing up between the base 24 and the Ultra for a couple hundred more, but I just don't like big phones.

    • you forgot the trade-in device value and non-return fee

    • Someone said that there is a risk that they cancel the whole order if you cancel the accessories.

    • Thanks mate, I've just done the same, hopefully the order goes through!

    • Just placed the order, is it safe to cancel the accessories right away?

  • I am not getting "Redemption limit of this voucher has been reached โ€“ please use another voucher".

    • +1

Isn't that good you are not getting the error…?

      • Sorry, I was meant to say that I am getting the error message. I tried again using a private page and managed to get it to work but I couldn't get it to work in the app.

  • I have a fully functional Galaxy Note 8, but there's a minor screen crack and some liquid damage, preventing me from using the trade-in option. Has anyone successfully traded in a device with similar issues?

    • +1

Why does that prevent you from using the trade-in option? Does liquid damage mean they won't accept the device for trade?

Just don't report the liquid damage. Report the cracked screen so the value drops to $1, per OP's post. Then just keep the device. You'll still get all the trade-in discounts and they'll slug you a $30 non-return fee, but you still end up way ahead.

      • So you are saying I keep my device and not actually trade in my device after receiving all the trade in bonus ?

        • Pretty much. They can't tell the device is water damaged unless you physically send it to them.

So just go through the trade process to get the $350 discount but keep the device if it's still functional. You'll get charged a $30 non-return fee but you'll get to keep the trade-in bonus (and the old phone).

  • +2

If anyone wants a watch with the extra credit, a lot of them are still available, it's just the default band that's sold out so they're marked as such.

Go to the watches section (not as an add-on to the phone), choose the one you want and change the band to another colour/type/size that's avaliable and if can be added to cart.

  • Noob question can anyone mention steps to create edu account using unidays as I am not able to get extra 5% discount via app

  • Purchased the new S24 ultra. Is there a way to still receive the free galaxy 6 watch?

  • Ordered:
    1x S24U 256G
1x Galaxy S24 Ultra Smart View Wallet Case
    1x Galaxy S24 Ultra Anti-Reflecting Screen Protector
    1x Galaxy Buds2 Pro
    Trade-in S23U 512G
    Total (inc GST)$463.31

Discounts used were the Samsung Shop App, Edu Portal, GALAXAI, CME-Voucher.
I don't need more than 256G storage. Was in the market for some new headphones, and that's my preferred case.
    Can't complain.

    • What did you trade in and what was the yrade in value? Pointless showing a cheap price if you dont show the trade in value.

      • I think s23u trade in value is 765

        • that is for s23u 256gb, the 512gb is $795

      • Apologies. CodeXD was right. S23U 512G is $795

      • They specifically said

        Trade-in S23U 512G

And anyone can find the value by inputting it into Samsung website.

        • -2

Why make everyone have to go look up the price when they could have just listed it?

  • I have entered the real imei number for my phone if I donโ€™t return it will they lock my phone ?

    • No. But the phone wont be able to apply for Samsung Trade-in again. So, if you sell the phone to another person, they will get a nasty surprise when they tried to trade in later. Someone may even convinced them they bought a stolen phone and they may report to eBay or Facebook for follow-up. (But if you keep for personal use, it will be fine.)

  • Seems the $1 is now only for in-store

  • if I try to go via the APp store on my phone it is automatically logging in with my normal ( Not edu ) credentials and then I cant access the EDU store.
Is there a way to change this behaviour and log in with my EDU details when I open the App originally

    • +1

I had the same problem, I had to sign out of my non-edu Samsung account on my phone in settings, then sign in to my edu one. Then when I opened the app it automatically signed into my edu account

      • I get a warning when clicking sign out that samsung account and most of its data will be removed from the phone

        • Samsung data is not that important for me then the cheap price

        • It will show you what it will remove, for me it was just stuff that will come back when I sign back in with that account

    • +1

Go to your phone settings, one the top, Samsung accounts, log out. Sigh in with edu account, all solved.

    • Thanks.. fixed and after wasting a day and a half I ended up with the 256 gig Ultra, Galaxy buds 2 pro, case, screen protector for $1071 which includes trade in of my S20FE for $155

  • Anyone previously been able to sell their new Galaxy Buds2 for more than $110 a box? Seems like that was the going average on eBay around Oct/Nov - but it would be nice to squeeze an extra $20-$30 out of each sale.

    • +4

Lol you won't get $100+ for any of the buds. Just take a look at ebay sold items, I can see a bunch of Buds FEs and Buds2 being sold for $50-60.

Given deals #3 and #6, we'll likely see a massive flood of these brand new on ebay over the next month and prices will drop even further.

      • Around Black Friday, $110 was achievable and they were available as freebies. I assume Samsung doesn't run any big discounts between now and EOFY, so might be best to wait a few months to get a decent price.

  • Is there any way to sign in to the government store on the app?

I'm seeing people say you can get the EDU store on the app.

    • +1

      Not possible unfortunately

  • PLEASE HELP!!

Idk what Iโ€™m doing wrong. But the phone nor the tablet are showing in the app

    • +1

      It wonโ€™t work on IOS

      • Thanks!!

Seriously?!! I have to get an android to get this deal??!!!!

        • You need android phone to get the Samsung Shop app for 5% first time purchase. You can still get this deal without it but you'll be paying slightly more, at minimum ~$50 discount.

        • Bluestack

  • Will not work on iphone. You need android app for extra 5% new customer or pc minus the 5%

  • Tempted to upgrade my phone, but I dont have an edu email :(

    • unfortunately alot of people can't get this deal (unless got gov or edu email)..

just wait for the secret sale..

  • +1

Thanks, ordered S24+ 256G, after cancelling all accessories, $801.5 remains on the invoice. plus extra charges of $5 and $30 for the trade-in fee, to be charged later.

    • How do you cancel the accessories? @noodlefan

      • +3

Go to your order in my orders, you should see a big 'cancel' button at the top, then it will allow you to select which items to cancel

      • Have you tried?

        • Yep, I cancelled my accessories and my order shows awaiting dispatch just for the phone. We'll see if that changes later though

          • @Marcuspt: Anyone else done this before and it all worked out? I don't want to cancel the accessories only for them to charge the whole amount anyway and I don't get the free accessories…

    • I tried cancelling my watch6 but seems the "confirm cancellation" button has been disabled!

      • Make sure anything ticked has reason chosen.

      • +1

Watch need to be cancelled by live chat

        • Good to know, did you do that and the rest of the order stayed at the cheaper price?

          • +1

            @albot: Yep

            • @snvl: Too slow, already shipped! Whoops!

  • +1
