The mopping on the Q8 Max is like dragging a wet cloth across the floor. The S8+ has a scrubbing motion. So S8 has much better mopping performance.

Merged from AKG K371 over-Ear Closed Back Headphone + AKG Lyra HD USB Microphone $199 (55% off) Delivered @ DJ City
    Go to Deal

one of the best closed back headphones under $400 last time I heard.

not the all time lowest price, but hey it comes bundled with a USB microphone (the whole bundle is called "AKG Podcaster Essentials Audio Production Toolkit"), and that mic alone is worth $130+ from a quick google search

so totally worth it especially if you need K371 and a mic, or have a friend who wants the mic or vice versa

    • Was very impressed by the headphones when I tried it, would make for a great work from home setup.

    • damn the video promo make me wanting to buy

    • Great deal if you need a mic

      • can we use the mic for nintendo switch lets sing game?

        • I couldn't say, but it's certainly not a USB-C mic by default. You'd have to research what happens if you used a different cable than the one supplied.

If you can on-sell the mic you're getting a great price for the K371.

    • Out of stock now.

      Sub 1000 lol

    • How does this compare to the GRE.

I prefer cool and quiet, and I am also worried about the 16 pin connector

      • +4
        • 4070 Ti is about 5-6% faster than 7900GRE
        • 4070 Ti has about 5% higher power draw when gaming, meaning noise is going to depend mostly on the cooler.
        • GALAX EX coolers are around average for noise and heat dissipation.

However, recent drivers now let you OC the 7900GRE's memory, which was the "bottleneck" for this card, with some sources getting a 12-15% performance boost.

        Note that:

        • Memory OCs help more for higher resolutions
        • Unlike core clock OCs, you're unlikely to see a huge power draw increase
        • There's no guarantee you will be able to achieve the same clocks that other people have.

I hope that helps! Hardware Unboxed is a great source: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q5tbCbm1IYM

      Should be Ti Super price.

        16GB 4070Ti 999
        16GB 4080 Super - 1299 to 1399
        24GB 4090 - 1999

Would have been awesome prices. Oh wait, they are less than these prices in USD already, just that our AUD aint that cool anymore.

        • -2

“ Oh wait, they are less than these prices in USD already”

Really? Which retailer in the US has them for these pricing in AUD?

Cheapest 4070 Ti 16GB Super I see is $799 USD excluding taxes. Which is $1225 AUD which is more than the $999 your saying.

Same for the other cards. So our pricing mirrors the US when converted and really when you add in US taxes we are cheaper as the 4070 ti Super has been as low as $1199 AUD locally.

          • +1

“Oh wait, they are less than these prices in USD already”

Really? Which retailer in the US has them for these pricing in AUD?

I said USD, not AUD! And you quote that very sentence. SMH.

            • -5

@John Doh: That's not the way I read it as you didn't have neither USD nor AUD next to the pricing and I took your pricing as AUD and you could find it for less in USD. Either way thank you for the clarification.

      • Should be, but won’t (at least anytime before 50 series)

    • i have a 3060ti but i want to game on 4k 144hz, would a 4070 ti or super be better for this?

      • I’d go at least 4080 for 4K 144. 4090, even.

      • +5
      • dreaming lol

      • 4070 Ti will perform well with 4k 60hz monitor. Even a 4090 cannot guarantee you 4k 144hz with best quality setting.

      • Wait for the 50 series. Apparently it's almost a 70% boost in performance.

Struggling between this and Marshall Woburn 3. Very tempted to pull the trigger.

    • I believe it’s a choice of if you want to use RCA vs Wi-Fi. I personally went for the Woburn coz I don’t mainly use it for streaming. Even if I do, I can use bluetooth, keeps on standby with BT LE.

    • 200W KT foldable cell - I wanted the portability - was down to $160 last week with their sales. Got that along with the RR shower/toilet tent for $59, both cheaper again with discount gift cards & CBA Yello 10% promo. Still available but very limited stock locations and no longer % sales, although maybe decent price depending your needs.

      • Nice one, I saw that during that sale last week too. I hope it lasts as I haven't had much luck with portable blankets. I don't know why this deal was unpublished there were at least 8 stores with multiple stock? then a heap with just 1 in stock. I think there are a few here that get off on reporting deals :/

      • Is that shower ensuite an awning type structure or can it also be used standalone? The photos from reviews are a bit confusing.

        • +1

[I haven't unboxed it yet, so just a guess] Awning given structure balance by vehicle weight. It has an ~2m long rigid rail panel that is attached to your roof rack (and provides rigid panel for mounting the struts to hang the curtains and as the shell frame for travel). Could perhaps rig a standalone frame but you'd need verticals and also to balance it - done by the vehicle. I was surprised by the dimensions - had thought the rail might have a centre join in order halve the length of it.

Hey, WN why do you nearly always try to diss pp's posts, has he upset you or something?

        • +3

Sorry you see it that way. I do like to give lots of rep posts a hard time if they aren't bargains but I don't see how what I said is dissing?

How is it any different to members that comment on an average mobile phone post & suggest something better?

          • -2

@WatchNerd: Of course give the reps a hard time (and I appreciate it when you do), but when pp posts I've noticed he quite often get into a watch "debate" with you or himself, or as you say, you suggest/ link to a different watch, which of course is fine.

At the end of the day we are all watch fans who comment on the watch posts, and in my humble opinion, if pp has gone to the trouble of researching and posting what he feels is a deal, his efforts should be encouraged.

            • +2

@alidli: to each their own, but clearly I can see WN comment is valid and reasonable. I would choose the SD1970 anytime of the day any day of the week. Just because someone research something and posted a deal, does not mean it is a good deal and people should be allowed to comment their opnion on the deal to help others make their decision.

        • +1

where is the diss but? the sd1970 is insane value and i would, and DO wholeheartedly propose it to anyone who isnt a 'big brand' watch snob. Outside of ozbargain it definitely does not get the recognition it deserves, even in enthusiast circles like in AAWF.

    Merged from New Balance CM1700WE $130 (RRP$260) + Delivery/$0 If Spend $300 @ UP There Store
    Go to Deal

    Description
The 1700 is probably the most divisive and (in our opinion) misunderstood of the entire 1000 series. Whilst it's younger siblings – 1300 through 1600 – are regarded as certified grails, the 1700 never received a similar reverence. To say it's wholly disliked would be doing a disservice, like most niche icons the 1700 has a cult following in Japan. Outside of Japan though only the most discerning New Balance aficionados give 1700s the credit they're due.

Thankfully, New Balance understands the 1700 deserves respect – they're giving the shoe another lease on life. This version is almost a remake of an older colourway albeit with a few tweaks. Where the OG white 1700 was all-leather, these are sporting a mesh toebox. The other major departure from the original is the use of black accents. The OG used navy blue, most famously on the super-special "Harrods" version – a unicorn not even many NB heads know of.
