Have heaps from boost sims :)

    • -5

Great idea. Just Boost it off the packs.

    • -8

Not gonna lie but those ones are shit.

Most phones i have need a larger pin, boost one is tiny.

      • +5

They work fine for my iphone 14 and s23 ultra :)

      • +44

wife said the size is fine.

        • -1

Your wife said the same to me.

      • +3

Thanks for not lying. I really thought you were going to deceive us until you clarified.

      • I don’t need larger… but longer… some holes are deeper

    • +1

The Boost ones are too short for my Motorola. The spike alone needs to be 15mm.

      • +7

        THAT'S WHAT SHE SAID….

      • +1

        I feel like that's a motorola problem…

    • +20

yes or use a small sized paper clip. Got plenty from boost Sims too.

Getting something like this delivered is excessive and irresponsible.

      • “Excessive and irresponsible” is the epithet for our species in millions of years time.

        • That's wishful thinking. No one will be mentioning our species in a million years. We're doomed well before then.

        • -1

or incapable of basic design principles.

          • @carrawa: Small paperclip.
I'm sure you'd have a Sim tool if you've ever travelled overseas and bought a sim card 🙄

            • @G-rig: I have a tool from original purchase, but tried a paperclip and it didn't work. Need to find the right size.

  • +98

I don't know how I will feel about my carbon footprint after ordering 2 pins from Amazon US

    • +4

      Don't worry! They're tiny and don't weigh much…/s

    • +64

Taylor Swift delivers them personally in her jet.

      • +5

Taylor Swift and Elon Musk deliver 1 each personally in their jet.

        • +3

If Zuckerberg and bezos not hand delivering them… why bother.

          • +1

@xoom: They were busy in a sweat shop to make them just for you.

        • Then you return them.

      • Should be here by next weekend then

    • +1

don't worry you are not alone

    • +12

Don't worry about it. I have calculated your emissions and invested accordingly to verified carbon offsetting programs. Your purchase of 2 Pack Sim Card Pin $0.03 + Delivery ($0 with Prime/ $59 Spend) @ Amazon US via AU has directly supported key renewable energy projects, reforestation efforts, and methane capture. Mind you, I then burnt like a dozen car tyres so I've kind of lost track of where the ledger stands at the moment. Nevermind.

      • +1

After making a purchase like this I just don't flush, really makes me feel good about myself Everytime I get a wiff I know I'm saving the environment

        • +1

Funny thing, if we all didn't flush the toilet enough times each day the sewerage system would collapse. Has to be a certain amount of water running for flow and pumps to function.

          • +2

@mckayver: You either die a hero or live long enough to become the villain, we live in a society

    • +12

The year is 2030, you are now on trial for purchasing 2x sim pins in 2024 exceeding your yearly carbon usage. How do you plead?

      • +5

Guilty, shame back in 2025 it was an Indictable Offense that could be Heard and Determined Summarily but now its a full Indictable Offense with Level 2 Imprisonment and 5000 PUs

        • +7

You have now been sentenced to 50 years of producing cockroach bars for the working class and your social credit score is now -500. To get back to normal society you must suck the methane out of farts of the WEF.

      • +2

        I have a 600kw supercharged V8. They're not even giving me a trial! 🤣

    • Or at the very least the plastic packaging for it that will go straight to the bin.
I use one of my wife's ear rings when I need to open a SIM port. Not sure why when there's this and paper clips there's an apparent need for dedicated SIM card pins.

      • +4

Not sure why, but my mind first imagined you telling your wife to hold still while you put the phone behind her ear and push. Then I realised you could use the earrings while not worn. Which probably works much better… 1 am smooth-brain 👍

        • She never stays still enough to try while wearing!

    • +5

It would not surprise me if they deliver it in a giant box

    • I just want bezos to try and find profit in this.

      • +4

He'll profit from the tax write off. 🤦‍♂️

    • Totally agree.

    • The airmail planes gonna fly regardless of your pins onboard or not

      • +1

Ya but it will be 2g heavier

        • Seller only has 449 left in stock.

Trying to resist the urge to splurge $13 on a bulk order just to see how it affects logistics with that extra 0.9kg package.

          • +1

@Noob Noob: Geez, in the time it took me to type that out the seller has already ended the listing (Currently unavailable)

      • +2

I see him wiping his tears with fistful of hundred dollar bills.

  • +2

Thanks, will order a set for each PO box in my post office

  • +3

I've got like 300 of these with the boost logo

    • +11

You could turn that into $4.50! Time to get selling!

      • +2

        $4.50 - $6,000 in international postage costs

    • +7

i find the boost pins are sometimes sticky with the adhesive and not because i got excited about the cashback deal

    • Is that from buying a new SIM every month for the cashback?

      • Yep

        • +1

After seeing those cashrewards deals I’ve been thinking of switching.
Do you have to order a new sim each month? Is it a pain to have to activate them?

          • @bopter12: I have a dual Sim phone. Amaysim unlimited calls and text for $60 a year and use the boost Sim for data.

Yes every month I need data. Takes a few minutes for activation

  • we used to have to pay 5 cents each whenever we buy a prepaid pack. Those were the days, they are now 3 cents!

    • +3

      And delivered free from America…
      Gotta love that efficiency.
      Thanks Jeff

    • So that's your 2 cents …

  • +1

Yeah, I'm going to dropship these.

  • +12

Paper clips are free from the office

  • +7

Imagine living in Marble Bar, WA in 46 degrees and getting this delivered for free

  • +15

    $59 Spend

Thanks, ordered 1,967 2 packs to get the free delivery…

    • How? It lets me only order 1 qty at a time

    • I tried to go under $1 so 33 sets. Wouldn't let me.

Luckily I have prime, but then I thought, even better! It only took me 15 minutes but now have 330 individual orders coming from the U.S. I'm sure the labour alone for those 330 orders would render the transaction in its entirety as a net loss on their end.. 😅 But at the same time, helping to maintain US jobs, which I don't mind..

    • +1

Keep 1 pair, ask for a refund for the other 1966 claiming they don't fit in the hole…

      • …and send them back in separate envelopes.

  • +1

Can i carry it on plane in my wallet?

    • If they ask, just say it’s a paper clip

    • Never ask to be dumped before boarding

  • +2

    Just use a staple…
    Pack of 5000 for 2.34

That works out to be 0.00468 per SIM removal tool.

    • paperclips dont fit in my phones

    • I don't people want to damage/scratch expensive phones with paper clips.

  • +3

Drunk online shopping is the best when the items are this cheap.

  • +2

Who else just bought it completely out of novelty.

    • I don’t even know why I ordered them. Maybe just to put a dent on Bezos wealth.

      • +1

        He's seething at your purchase

  • +1

Those who ordered, plz make sure you tell the driver/delivery man what you ordered and how much you paid at the time of delivery.

    • Do you think they get paid commission based on the purchase $ of the delivered good?

      • I think they understand the value of carbon footprint

  • Hope you none of you mass order for no reason as I'd actually like 1 or 2

    • +2

      It's limited to 1 order.

      • Nice!

      • Yeah I just tried to order 10 on one order. Doesn't seem to be a limit on how many single orders though.

I ordered 5. curious, anyone ordered more?

        • Yes. Mass.

        • Yeah, I put through 330 individual orders so I don't push my $10 budget. Creating American jobs! 👌🏼
